They are a small family run shopped that just opened. We got a little bit of everything to try it out. The hummus and topping were such a great touch and was delicious. I just wished we had to flat bread for we ran out. Their pizza was very interesting and tasty. I love the flavor combo of uniqueness. Their lamb kabobs were not the greatest. It was over cooked and a bit dry. It was a bit tough to chew and I wish they had some sort of sauce with it. I'm glad we had the hummus left over to put on it but the meat was not worth getting. Their service was very slow. The boy didn't bring water out until we had to ask for it after taking our order and giving us silverware. They didn't check on us the entire meal even though it wasn't busy. I was super thirsty halfway through my meal but no water was in sight.

False advertising (no grilled tomato/pepper, plain white rice instead of yellow bulgur), and a menu photo ripped off from Nizam in İstanbul.

When Antepian moved into town with hundreds of glowing reviews (carried over from their former location in Aurora, CO) and photos showing bulgur and grilled vegetables served with their kebaps, I was excited to try it--only to be disappointed by false advertising, stolen menu photos, and more. Pros: - Authentic Turkish; no generic "Mediterranean" theme. - Kebaplar are well-seasoned, delicious, and served with actual lavaş. - They have çiğ köfte, ezme, and ayran. Cons: - Photos across their physical menu, website, and delivery apps show beautiful kebaplar served with proper grilled veggies (tomato and green chili) and yellow bulgur, but in reality you only get plain white rice and salad. When I dined in they told me this was because they'd just opened, but months later I ordered delivery and it came the exact same way. If you're gonna cut corners like this, at least be honest in your advertising! - At least one of their menu photos is ripped off from Nizam in İstanbul (with the logo crudely cropped out), which explains why what you actually get isn't even remotely close to the pictures. - Service is chaotic, awkward, and slow on busy nights. - All beverages are in cans/bottles out of a self-serve fridge; no free water. - For a new place, ambience is severely lacking and not at all on par with the food prices.

Amazing food and wonderful people! Every time we come to our store in Frisco, we stop here for lunch, we even have our "own" table lol we have tried almost everything on the menu and we are yet to be disappointed! If you're in the area you should stop even if it's just for tea and dessert!

Tried the lahmacun for the first time and we were told to dress it with onions and parsley and roll it all together. I enjoyed the burst of flavors in this dish. Not pictured but we also had the lentil soup which was also very good and washed everything down with the turkish tea. It's a small and friendly place, seems like there are regulars there and our server made us feel very welcomed with recommend dishes. 5 stars. I'll be back to try more

First time eating here. I had the Turkish Pizza - Lahmacun and the Shish Kebab - Kuşbaşı Excellent food, excellent service. Really friendly staff. I will return!

Gaziantep locates at Southern part of Turkiye and have really rich cuisine, the people who lives in Gaziantep called Antepian, they are specialized on meat, famous with kebabs but their lahmacun is special too, bread is very thin almost crispy but the rich topping keeps the bread reasonably elastic, when you add onion and parsley with lemon on top you can still wrap it. Another difference is the garlic used in toppings which gives absolutely fantastic taste beside the meat and spices. Topping never prepared from mince meat, instead they take the best part of meat and cut it in small pieces with a special knife called "zirh". 2 pieces are enough for one normal person and you should always consume yogurt drink "Ayran" with it.

If you like flavorful food with a bit of a kick (or more of a kick if you like spicy), this is the spot. They make authentic Antep cuisine from Turkey. The lahmacun is the best in town, with a thin and crunchy crust filled with tasty beef filling. I also highly recommend trying the lentil patties/ cig kofte wrapped in lettuce.

Food was very nice, fresh and flavorful. It was my first time trying a Turkish place. All the seasoning was just absolutely delicious. I wish I could say the same for service. I believe it's family owned, they got busy, seemed like they had enough people but there was not a good flow. Didn't get the coffee we ordered. It took them long to get the check out, so that we can pay and leave. I guess quality food takes over the service. I don't mind going back again when they are less busy. Platter is the way to go if you want a mix of things.

We arrived as a party of five on a medium-busy Sunday evening. The tables were a reasonable distance apart, and the noise level was also fair. The food was delicious. Having not experienced authentic Turkish food before, the mention of authenticity made my group eager to give Cafe Istanbul a try. Ordering was painless and easy. There are entrees for individual meals and easy options for groups to share family-style, which we opted for. We ordered an appetizer platter with beef meatball, baba ganoush, hummus, and phyllo borek (ground beef with spices and onions inside a deep-fried phyllo wrapper). It was a bit odd that there were different amounts of each (2 meatball, 4 phyllo borek, and dollops of baba ganoush and hummus were only enough to get a small taste each) but it was balanced out by the portion size of the entree. For the entree, we opted for the mixed grill plate to share. It had chicken shish kebab, lamb kebab, adana kebab (ground lamb, pepper, and spices), grilled chicken wings, and chicken beyti (ground chicken and spices, grilled). This was served with rice and red cabbage on the side. Individually, each amount seemed small, but given that this plate was meant for two, we were still pleasantly full after polishing this off. Everything was well seasoned. The meat was juicy and perfectly cooked. I'd especially recommend the chicken beyti. The here service was swift and outstanding. We were quickly offered menus, waters, and utensils. Our waters were refilled quickly, and the kitchen took our request to plate the lamb separately in stride. The moment after my fork fell to the ground, a member of their serving staff swooped to fetch it (it was behind my chair) while another brought me a new one. It was a very well-rehearsed dance. Worth mentioning is also the fact that there were two separate groups dining that evening (a large family, and a group of friends) to celebrate a birthday. This is a restaurant worthy of birthday celebrations :) Overall, the portions are decent and filling, the food is delicious, and the service is exceptional. Consider visiting this restaurant next time you're in the area; you'll be glad that you did!

I have only had Ezme at one other place, and this was definitely better. I always love baba ganoush and this was so good, especially with the warm bread. The family meal for 4 was plenty of food. All the meats, including the chicken items because a lot of time those are over cooked. The lamb tikka, and sheeh tawook were my favorites, but I did enjoy them all. The desserts were a miss for us over all. The ice cream was on the icy side and not as creamy, kunafa was ok but I've had better. The baklava was like any baklava you can get, so not bad. It is slightly pricey but worth it in my opinion. Nice place that can accommodate larger parties, but also has some booths for intimate date night. The meat is also halal so a great option for anyone that needs that.

This is a restaurant that could easily be in Turkey for some European country. We started with the Mezza platter ( $29) - which included 6 different dips. It's pricey for an appetizer, but it is definitely worth it because it's so unique and flavorful. It was probably my favorite thing that we ate. Everything felt just a little bit overpriced for what it is. My baseline comparison is Hillstones and R&D, and this is definitely Hillstone's pricing, but not the same experience overall. My wife and I shared the lamb shank and the falafel platter and also had a side of cauliflower (which was incredible). My 3 year old had the kids item which was $18!?. it was all very very good. My wife and I had a glass of wine and the average price was $18. They also had no descriptions of what style of wine it was e.g. Cabernet Sauvignon. When I asked the server, he just recommended the Caymus. The service was transactional and something you would get at most fast casual restaurants. I get that a lot of the servers are not professional servers. For the mezze platter, it would've been helpful to have an explanation of what was on it. Basically they brought the food. They took our order and that was it. Parents: they have one kids meal which included four chicken kebabs and a side of either rice or fries ($18). The price felt very steep for a kids meal. I probably would rather have had half the portion size for half the price.
