Delicious schwarma sandwich wrap. It's huge!
Liz G.

What a treat. Nice new Syrian restaurant at Coit and Campbell (more on Campbell towards UTD). The menu is fault limited but covers all the Middle Eastern basics of hummus, stuffed grape leaves, kebabs, and Schwarma. Service was very eager and attentive. Process are very reasonable. My huge schwarma sandwich wrap was only around $10. Oh, and their mint tea was great!

good place to check out for their special rice dishes Old Damascus is located in a complex with other restaurants and shops. It has a lot of indoor seating. Servers were friendly. We ordered the mint lemonade, hibiscus lemonade, hummus, kibbeh, chicken kabsa, lamb Mandi, and falafel sandwich. I love trying out new types of drinks, and these were good. Mint lemonade could use a little more of something to get the perfect balance (maybe more mint?). The hibiscus one was nice too, but it could be too sweet for some people. Hummus was good, but I wish the pita bread served with it was a little warmed. Kibbeh had some crunch to to, with delicious meat, but I would prefer it with less dough around the edges. The mains were all great! Lamb was very tender; it fell off the bone. The Mandi rice was my favorite rice. Chicken was very moist and tender too, but I felt like the meat inside could use a little more flavor, but if you add a little of that dakhoos sauce they give with it, it perfects it. Kabsa rice was tasty as well, but it had a little heat in the aftertaste. We also got a cucumber mint yogurt sauce, which I loved! I loved the crunch of the falafel in the falafel wrap. Overall, I would definitely order the rice dishes and wrap again.

Service was great. Food was tasty but not unbelievable. Fine for neighborhood spot, but would not go out of my way. The inside decor was very nice.

We tried this place for dinner Saturday evening at 6pm and we were the only people there. We ordered hummus, falafel, chicken Shawarma sandwich, beef soujouck sandwich, chicken, kebab plate, and the beef kebab plate. Both the kebabs were very dry but the rice that came with it was very flavorful. Our favorite were the falafel.

I ordered online through their website for takeout and it worked really well, my food was ready when I arrived at the restaurant and the order was accurate. The interior decor is really nice with lots of seating and a warm earthy tone. The Shawarma wraps were really good, I liked that they used a unique type of thin pita bread for the wrap, instead of thick fluffy pita or tortillas that I've seen at most Dallas Middle Eastern restaurants. The Tabouleh was really good and so was the Kibbeh. The mint yogurt dip was a little soupy, but I'll give it another try in the future in case I got an off batch.

Loved everything. The chicken, the hummus, the fattoush. The frozen mint lemonade is so good I'd go back just for that. 100% recommend.

Delicious Kabseh! The service was great, and the ambiance took me back to my summers in Damascus as a kid. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Very tasty and fresh food. Large portions enough for two people. The staff are very courteous. They adjusted the dish to be vegan.

My family and I decided to try Guitars and Growlers. We parked in the parking lot, walked in, and…read morechecked out the space. It's a cool restaurant that has a lot of seating, and cool decor with Guitars displayed on the wall and a small stage for performers. We walked up to where you order. It was counter service and the guy that took our order was laid back. We paid, he gave us a number and then we chose a place to sit and waited for our food. We ordered several items to share. We started off with a charcuterie board that had meats, cheeses, nuts, fruit, and toasted bread. It was really good. The bread was able to hold the ingredients and was nice and crispy but not overly crispy. The meats were good and the different cheeses were flavorful with different textures. The fruit was fresh and the nuts were a nice crunchy addition. Very yummy start. We also shared the Tejas Nachos with Brisket. The Nachos come with tortilla chips covered in cheese, queso, jalapenos, tomatoes, and crema. They were okay. The Brisket was plentiful. There was a lot of cheese and queso spread out all over the nachos. It was a little too much. The chips got soggier the closer you got to the bottom of the pile. Our last shared item was the ZZ Top BBQ Flatbread. It was okay. It came with an overabundance of cheese. It also came with jalapenos, BBQ sauce, and we ordered it with Chicken. It was okay. The cheese was gooey but overwhelming. The jalapenos added a spicy flavor and the BBQ sauce was tasty. Overall the restaurant has a cool atmosphere with good service. The counter service, ordering and paying process was quick and easy. Everytime someone brought our food to us they were friendly. The food was okay and literally very cheesy.

Food: kind of expected an actual kitchen. Still good, just bar food…read more Taps are great - had some great local gems Service was great, friendly staff Vibe on point.

The restaurant prides itself on using 100% fresh and certified Kosher meat, prepared daily. Their menu features Middle Eastern favorites, including their renowned juicy burgers. It operates under the supervision of Dallas Kosher, with a full-time Mashgiach on site. I ordered their "Messy Burger," seasoned and "grilled to perfection," topped with Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles, Sauteed Onions, Mushrooms and Peppers, and finished off with Grilled Brisket Pastrami. It WAS "messy" AND delicious. Another piece or two of pastrami would have been awesome. On this Sunday morning, my wife was in the mood for Shakshuka which Mile and Honey describes as "Shakshouka - Egg scrambled with Moroccan tomato salad (Matbucha), served in pita with Israeli Salad. Plated option can be poached." She'd become very fond of this traditional North African dish of eggs poached in spiced sauces at Tatte in Washington, DC when we lived there for 2 months. M and H's sauce was a bit heavier than what she was expecting but tasty. The eggs, unfortunately, were overcooked and she was unable to blend the yolks with the tomato base the way she prefers the dish. So, in her opinion, it tasted "more eggy that delicately seasoned" the way she likes. I would still consider Milk and Honey and solid choice if you're looking for a good variety of Kosher options.
