I ordered 2 lunches over 2 days - each order made the night before. The meal was ready on time and handed to the courier. First time visiting this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing! My best friend and I shared the Eggplant carpaccio which was delicious! I had the Israeli salad which was fresh, and a nice portion. He had the Caesar salad which he found just okay. I ordered the shawarma for my meal. I have to say this dish was absolutely amazing! This place has been on my radar for quite sometime. At first they were only open for dinner but as the years have passed they are open for lunch now too. I was so happy to find an Israeli restaurant here, I'm surprised there aren't more. Back in Louisiana I used to frequent my favorite Israeli restaurant and I'm just glad I've found one here as well. First off pulling up it wasn't what I was imagining if to look like. I was expecting fancy, but this place is very cozy and gives small town vibes. Which I like. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She gave great recommendations and just was a delight. The owner was really nice as well, she popped out around rush hour to great all the tables. We ordered way too much food for lunch but wanted to try a bit of everything and they made for great leftovers. We ordered the falafel hummus, short ribs, rib and marrow, shawarma, and Israeli mixed skewers. Every dish had great portions to price. Presentation was great and most importantly taste was great! At least to me it was. The short ribs were amazing, loved the skewers combo and the shawarma. The falafels were cooked perfectly. I will say the rib and marrow was my least favorite dish. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't for me. The meat was cooked perfectly I just wasn't a fan of the flavor. It was sweet and reminded me of bbq sauce and I just don't like bbq sauce. Walking in, I felt like I was at someone's Jewish house. This is clearly a restaurant created for the Jewish community, with several tables nearby speaking in Hebrew, almost all the men were wearing yarmulkes, and almost every age group was represented throughout the tables, whether infant, child, teenager, adults, and elderly. There was definitely a sense of community throughout the restaurant thats nice to see. Noise wise it was actually bearable. I thought the kids would be screaming the whole time, but they were well mannered (for the most part). At no point did I feel like I couldn't hear myself. I could even hear the 70s soul music they were playing on the speakers (which I definitely enjoyed). The tables here are tiny. Not to the point of a European café table small, but small enough to feel like I couldn't ever truly stretch out and relax. Even my chair was right next to the wine rack, and leaning back 4 inches had me bump against the rack. That eggplant dish is basically baba ghanoush, but not pureed. It was quite tasty, although there could have been smoked for my personal taste. The beef carpaccio was good, taste wise, but I don't feel it was worth the cost for how little you receive. They sliced it super thin and it's more like an amuse bouche than an appetizer. The beef marrow and rib is much more substantial than I thought it would be. It's typical bone marrow, but they pile on a sizable amount of shredded beef (maybe it was a beef rib, maybe it was chuck roast?) It was actually quite nice to have the shredded beef, even though my girlfriend couldn't eat too much since she would get full. The ribeye with antipasti (vegetables). The steak was good, but it felt like a pan fried steak I could make at home. There was no crispy seat on the outside, the day wasn't completely rendered, and no options for compound butters on top. The cut itself was tender, but seemed like choice grade, as oppose to prime grade. Service was kinda slow. Took almost an hour to get our steak. The waitress also said that the back of the house would get upset if they received appetizer and entree orders at the same time. I don't know what POS system they are using, but Ive never had a problem like this at other restaurants. Our server also lacked basic knowledge of the menu, such as what vegetables came with the antipasti. They also have three different food menus that can become confusing. One menu is online, with items that they are not serving at the moment (such as beef tartare). The second menu is tied to the QR code you can pull up on your phone, as well as their POS system. The third menu is a transistion menu, where its more seafood focused and supposedly the future menu of this restaurant. It's a little confusing when learning about all this at once, but this is not permanent. This place is easily the kosher best steakhouse (by default) in North Dallas. Whatever I say doesn't matter to someone who needs to eat kosher and wants to get it off the house. For anyone else, id say you'll have a good meal, but there are better options. read more

The first thing to consider is the good taste in which the restaurant is designed, it really seems that they have invested in the subject and just entering the place makes you love it, And the spectacular wine selection they have is simply intoxicating! The waitress was very kind at the sight of them trying to give a good treatment. Regarding the food, I have some mixed feelings because on the one hand it was incredibly tasty and the meats are excellently made, as were the desserts which were really addictive, On the other hand the design of the dishes and the way of serving was missing a certain touch of prestige that could have made everything absolutely perfect. And for example the parchment paper with the logo at the bottom of the dish that made the feeling that it was a takeaway dish and not a chef's dish. And like this example there were a few other similar things. Absolutely one of my favorite new restaurants. This will be in heavy rotation going foward. It's a hidden gem quit literally. I have been in this parking lot so many times amd im just shocked I had never noticed this place. Everything I have had at this place is amazing. There is not one dish that is not on point as far as I know. It's a bit pricey but you are getting a solid meal here. The entire wine list is amazing but don't look for your standard grocery and or standard restaurant list. There so many great Israeli wines on this list that I'm still wrapping you brain around it. Come try some authentic Mediterranean/ Israelie food. The ownership is super passionate about the food and wine. When it comes to the wine list ask for the owner to give you a recommendation. Visiting family from out of town, I was looking forward to returning to Meat Point following a reinstatement of their Kashrut status; I had visited here years ago and remember great food and service commensurate with their price. The positives: - food was brought out to the kids in a reasonable time after we ordered. - food was overall flavorful, fresh, and well-cooked. I had the Israeli beef kebab and was pleased. -establishment looks clean (kitchen is not visible). Why one star? Let me preface by saying that kosher diners deserve the same level of quality service that all customers/guests should expect and receive. 1. A table of 6 with 3 kids, 2 other tables, 6 staff (with cellphones in tow and used); waited 15 minute for initial service. 2. 45 minutes from when the meal was ordered (adults) until it arrived; asked for bread for the table, was told '15 minutes it's being made fresh (15 minutes in)'. After the meal came (45 minutes), server said 'we don't have bread'. 3. No paper menus (due to COVID), ironically requires phones to be passed around to children and elderly. 4. Another table ordered after us, received food (and bread) 20 minutes before us. When I asked the manager on duty about bread he said "we have pitas and you should have been more specific". I chose not argue after attempting to communicate our table's initial request. 5. Server checked in with us a half hour after food arrived (and was finished) and asked how everything was; despite a half dozen (purportedly) employees leisurely conversing and using mobile devices, checking in during our meal was not a priority. With some background in the restaurant business, my gut tells me there is an opportunity for this establishment to train its staff and (especially management) as the service is likely a symptom of this. The ownership and management could start by reading Tilman Fertitta's Shut Up and Listen. I feel sad for the folks that return to this place and reward subpar, dismissive service. read more

I was eating there for the first time ( and last) when a young woman with a service dog entered. Her family was also with her. She was refused service even after they told the owner/manager(?) that the pet was a service animal. He actually started yelling at this family. He did not want the dog in the restaurant because of the fur. They offered to sit outside, in the heat and the jerk still refused! IT AGAINST THE LAW, MORON! They are violating ADA. they even offered to sit outside in 100+ degree weather to accommodate the owner and his tantrum. They eventually walked out and did not come back. But I was truly impressed with the incredible food and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and felt fancy, even for a smaller scale size place. Come here for their hummus. It's crazy delicious and extremely smooth, some of the best I've had. And it's paired wonderfully with their incredibly fluffy pita. The other dishes didn't stand out as much but also didn't get to try much. The beef tartare was mediocre, a bit roughly chopped and not as good as the dozens of standout versions I've had in Dallas. My family and I went out for father day dinner and I have a service dog. The owner was extremely rude yelling and and video recording me and my dog without consent and kicked us out refusing service. The food was OK if not overpriced, just the standard run of the mill stuff. Atmosphere was there the rating really takes a dive. While I was trying to enjoy my meal, I was able to overhear the manager yelling at some of the workers. I dare not repeat what I heard, but suffice it to say there was a lot of profanity. If grading just on food, I'd give it three stars, but the fact that I know the workers are treated so badly, I have no choice to downgrade to one star. Drove by this place several times and decided to take the wife out one kid-free night. Service was very good. Had the lamb cigars as an appetizer and some cocktails. Fantastic!! Visited Meat Point on our travels to Dallas - recommended by a vendor and it was a home run. In retrospect, even though the schnitzel was soooo good, I wish we had ordered all appetizers because they were unbelievable... Hummus/mushrooms, hummus/falafel, the house bread ... and as AMAZING as they all were, the eggplant (which I don't even usually like) was the best of all. Fathers day steak dinner was kind of a disappointment. The positive stuff: Locale is nice. Not too noisy and clean. Server was ok but overwhelmed. Eggplant appetizer was tasty. Lamb cigar was too salty. Eventually they brought the house bread with a tasty tahini sauce. The israeli salad was tasty and mot salty. The red pinot noir was ok but 50 bucks a bottle , it better be. The whole grilled fish was good too. Mushrooms and asparagus was good. The negative stuff: The nana lemonade took 20 mon to arrive after two reminders from the guests. It was forgotten twice. Other classy or more professional places would not bill it. We did not bring it up. The the two lamb chops orders ( medium rare ) were missing the humus side dish as described in the menu item description. When we asked about it, we were told they removed it , so the chef does not to have to deal with customers. The quality was inconsistent and at 67 bucks price for three chops with two or three bites of meat, and a lot of fat it was a let down. Some were quite salty. We joked with the server lady about our lack of excitement regarding the quality and she was not surprised we will not be back, but we left joking , as the 50 bucks wine was the best part of our fathers day dinner. Absolutely the worst service we have ever had. We sit down and after 10min of waiting the waiter that walked in 5min befor us came and got our appetizer and water order. After we ordered our appetizer our waiter sat down and started eating his own dinner two tables across from us. No one came to take our order and once we finally got someone flagged two other tables got priority. One person ordered a wygu burger which came out smaller than any burger at any other table, frozen not fresh frys with garlic paste spooned on top. He asked for medium rare and received well done. I ordered the MP player. I was asked how I wanted the steak and lamb cooked I said medium rare both were medium well and the quality and price was worse than Ali baba down the street. 48$ goto alibaba or fogo de chow. The other two kabobs are traditional chicken and ground beef, the ground beef was so dry you could use it as a weapon to hit people with. The waiter never brought our salad to our table with my entree. The other person at our table ordered the beef kabob which was just a larger version of my ground beef kabob hers was just as dry but twice as large. It took 15m just to flag someone down for the check then his card reader wouldn't work...... We will never be back. Awful experience. read more

The decor is nice and cozy. Our servrr was friendly and helpful in answering all my questions about the kosher food. I ordered pita with chicken shwarmah. They have a lot of options for adding to the pita. I picked hummus, grilled egg plant and Israeli salad. I did not know what schug and matbucha were, so I requested them on the side. My husband got falafel pita. The food was really flavorful, very different flavors than the middle eastern shwarmah sandwich. The condiments were great, schug was fresh, jalapeno spicy. The fries had a weird oil smell though, I did not enjoy those. Over all it was a good lunch! read more

We ordered two glasses of wine, a ribeye and a ground beef dish. We sat waiting for our wine for 15 minutes, even reminding the waitress that we were still waiting for it. Then entree's come out, and the wine afterwards. The steak was 3/4 of an inch thick, overcooked and so wet it looked boiled. The "butcher" obviously got the steak at the Tom Thumb down the street for $5. You want to charge $56 for that crap? Get out of here. I sent it back and refused to eat it. The only reason I'm okay with giving this place one star at all is because the food wasn't too bad and the staff was friendly. However, everything was super overpriced and not worth it. My main problem though is with the management. I've heard the owner and manager yelling at employees on several occasions loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. It's very disruptive and I feel like those issues should be taken care of out of earshot of the guests. I also don't think they should be yelling like that, but that's another matter. The management is also pretty rude if you say there is something wrong with your meal. They will argue with you and try to beat you down. Overall the food is good, but I just can't stand how unprofessional the people in charge are so I unfortunately won't be coming to meat point anymore. read more
