Food- we both ordered a chicken shawarma. I had just the shawarma and he the plate so his came with crinkle fries. The good: fries were warm and salty. Cooked very well. The bad: even though it was just us and one other customer and the food came out quickly, mine was slightly warmer than room temperature. It had grill marks but the inside filling was not. It had lots of taziki sauce in it, but I had to drink after every bite bc the chicken was so dry. I could only eat half of it. Ambiance- it's a small, mostly to go. There is plenty of seating inside and the temperature was nice especially on a hot Texas summer day. On first inspection ot was clean, had pretty good pictures on the wall and beautiful laminate floors. That all I can say for the good. When I went to sit down I fell thru the seat cushion. It was not attached to the chair. When lunch was served I grabbed a napkin from the dispenser to realize there was only one napkin on each side. The next table was the same. No one cares for the maintenance of the place. See the photos. Service- the young woman at the check register was polite but did not say anything unless you asked her. The young g had to have heard me as I fell thru the chair. She was only 5 feet away. The tv was off It was so quiet all you could hear was the humming of the drink fridge. She never investigated or asked if I was ok. I hope the owners read this and work on this or they will be wondering why customers come once and never come back. read more

Good Mediterranean spot in Arlington - while much of their traffic is from to-go orders, there is seating available, there is seating available inside. Service was great, and food arrived promptly. Flavor of the food was wonderful - everything was well seasoned. The only gripe here is I wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. decided to come here to try a shawarma and immediately noticed how empty the place was. decoration was bare besides a couple of pictures on the walls. the chairs were a little ripped and there were few tables inside. our order was taken quickly and our food came out just as quick. the fries were crisp on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. they are also some of the biggest fries i've seen. was seasoned with salt and a couple other spices. i ordered a beef shawarma, which had a very strong pickle flavor. the sandwich was very small, so it did not fill me up as much as i expected. however, the plates come with a very large portion of rice and protein with multiple sides. sandwich was around $8 and plates are around $15. read more

Wanted to try Shawarma Basha after reading some Yelp reviews. I am happy I did I had the chicken shawarma wrap. My first time to have this meal in a wrap. I was very happy with the flavors of the chicken. I like the grilled wrap it was similar to a burrito but not the same flavors. Plenty of meat inside the wrap. They do have other fillings you can choose from. To go with the meal we added hummus and pita as a side. The hummus was very good I will for sure get this meal again. The restaurant has seating inside and a patio on the side of the building. Very casual you order at the counter. The food is made to order very fresh and hot. This place has been on my radar for a while, and I finally stopped in for lunch today. It is a small place at the end of the strip center on Arbrook. There really isn't any decor, just a few tables and the counter where you order. They do have a little outdoor seating area to the side. I had scoped out the menu before I came, and ordered the shish tawook sandwich. It is really more of a wrap, with chicken, garlic sauce, and pickles. The outside is warm and they crisp it up on a flat top, but stays soft on the inside. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was tender. The garlic sauce was on point. Delicious and creamy but not overly garlicky, which was good because I was going back to work. I don't know what kind of pickles they use, but I like them. They're very mild. You don't get that tang of vinegar and dill. It adds a nice crunch and everything goes together really well. I don't know if it is the marinade of the chicken, but something had a bit of a lemony flavor. In a good way. Considering it is mostly meat, it made for a substantial meal, even if it kind of looks like a skinny burrito. The sandwich was $4.99 which I think was a good deal. This seems to be a new family owned restaurant serving about what you'd expect from a Shawarma joint here in Dallas. Interior is clean and they've got a relatively diverse meat selection so it definitely piqued my interest. What I assume is the daughter runs the register while the parents work all around the place; they're all polite. Our order was taken promptly and delivered to our car within a timely manner. They maintained social distancing and wore gloves, but no masks were worn by anyone taking out order which is quite problematic in this current climate. The selection here is your typical Mediterranean appetizers with entree items revolving around a selection of proteins: Chicken/Beef Shawarma/Kebabs, Falafel and Lamb. The Combo platter is their best item, with flavorful rice, a selection of their Kebabs and some sides to fill out the meal. It's definitely on the pricier side especially compared to the rest of the menu. The Tex-Mex sandwich was my favorite as it has tender chicken and a good sauce, while the Tandoori was just plain, shredded chicken. The sandwiches are all good value regardless, and if their combos were a dollar less they'd be a major lunch competitor. Overall, you have a generally well run establishment that could use some small tweaks here and there to really stand out. They have a nice seating area outside that would be quite nice in better times, and the area they're in is relatively clean. Such a wonderful find because of a very good friend. I love finding new Mediterranean focused restaurants and this one is just so good. It is family and locally owned and has a good variery of entrees. I tried their falafel, chicken Shawarma, hummus, tabouli, and rice. With every bite the food just got better and better. The sauces and seasonings just make every bite just pop and melt in my mouth. I definitely cannot wait to come back here soon as I am trying to eat healthier and they have tons of options. They had good rice and hummus as well - and the seared pepper served with the entrees was fantastic, too!
