Absolutely horrible. 1 star I would give none if possible. Wanted to give this place a second chance but I will never come again. The hookah is very old, it doesn't work you can't blow into it to let air out. It doesn't work almost threw up. There is no service the lady literally said I don't have the stuff to make a smoothie. They use the quick start coals the server didn't even light them all the way it was black on top of the coal which made the hookah taste burnt. Just horrible. If your a woman going alone be careful. My friend went there to study, when she left she was followed to her car by 5 guys. One got in front of her asking her where she was going and she told him it was none of his business and his friends just laughed. The hookah here is a pretty good deal especially when you can share it w your table. I usually go for the more minty flavors and munch on some of their fries which are super crispy and addictive. A lot of uta students come here (myself as well) and study here since it's relatively quiet and there's good WiFi. Outlet seats go fast tho. If you're not studying, they also have cards, board games etc on the side. The hours here go pretty late as well which I appreciate. Only thing is service can be hit or miss. And they were really busy and there was mainly only one server, but that girl, I wish I could remember her name or knew how to spell it LOL, but that girl busted ass like I've never seen a server do before. Whenever I first walked in she communicated with me right away that she won't be able to get to me until about five minutes or so and I was allowed to pick wherever I chose to sat, so whenever she was ready to take my order she came up to me and was still perky, fun, all the good qualities you would want a server to be even though that she had worked a double that day from talking to her. The meat is not thinly sliced and they dont have the right garlic based sauce that goes along with this. If you want good Mediterranean cuisine in the Arlington area, well then don't go here. Just go ahead and save your time and your money and skip Shisha Café. Here's why: 1. This place is dark and dingy and full of stale hookah smoke... even in the middle of what should have been a busy lunch rush. 2. The tables were old and rickety, and the fabric for the seating was drab and gloomy. This hand me down banquet furniture may have been nice and clean several years ago, but it's in dire need of an update. 3. The food was mediocre at best, with the chicken schawarma a bit on the dry side. 4. We had gift certificates purchased from restaurants.com that turned into a total nightmare. After what seemed like an eternity, we ended up paying more than expected because of the "way it was worded". Their motto clearly isn't the customer is always right. $40 later for a 3 person lunch, and no we won't be doing business there anytime soon. We came here for lunch. The place looks a bit dingy and weird. Table was dirty, and holes all over. The waitress was.... Super slooooooooow. The worst food I've tasted thus far! We ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Entree with Lentil Soup, Small Hummus, Falafel Sandwich with fries, mango tea and iced coffee. The Mediterranean Chicken was bland and oily and the lentil soup was lukewarm and tasted old. The falafel sandwhich was disgusting but at least the fries were good. I ordered sauce on the side to salvage it but that made it worst. Complete and utter disappointment. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy so I'm assuming that's why the waitress would occasionally forget to check on us. I waived to another waitress but she ignored me. When we paid I informed our waitress about the food so that we wouldn't have to pay for what we did not like and only paid for the hummus and drinks. I was used to the cushioned and pillowed lounges that a lot of hookah places have, so I was initially a little disappointed that Shisha was more like a restaurant with regular tables/chairs. However, the atmosphere really grew on me and Shisha Cafe has been my hookah spot of choice for over a year. The waitresses are always fun and nice, and the hookah is great. This is my favorite and only hookah joint I ever visit, not only is there customer service on point, but the Shisha and food are consistently great. I typically visit this establishment 3x a month for at least 4 years and it never fails to be worth both my time and my money. Personally I enjoy ordering their kodseya appetizer and a side of fries to start off with. The kodseya is kinda like a red bean hummus ( flavor kinda reminds me of frijoles puercos) with a dab of parsely and tomato to freshen up the dish. The fries are to die for(like literally, they are really crispy and have a light seasoning on em to give em flavor. To finish off I usually like a gyro and my girlfriend typically has a cheesecake( I kid you not, those things are amazing), not sure how cheesecake ended up on their menu, but you have got to try the strawberry cheesecake cake at some point in your life. As for the hookah and the service, I used to be a heavy smoker so the hookah lifespan will fluctuate, but I usually order a -blueberry mint double apple - mix and it last pretty long and the taste is really good.TRY IT. But usually if you ask the servers for reccomendations they will usually give you a good one. I've read a couple of reviews in which people say the servers are bad and stuff, but to be honest, ive not had a bad server. Granted the time food has taken or my order to be taken does depend on how busy they are, I'm always satisfied with their service. A couple of tips though, 1.When you arrive make sure to go in and notify a server if you're sitting outside, otherwise just sit at one of the tables 2.Be wary of the evenings on the weekends (around 9pm ish) the place gets packed 3.Move the coal around if you are either constantly hitting the hookah or you have a lot of people (although the server will come by and replace your coal every 10 mins) 4.They offer cards ( regular or Uno) but you can bring your own board games 5.And finally Its 3 people per hookah=3- 1 hookah,6-2 hookas..etc Thank you Shisha cafe! read more

Absolute joke, came in today after a workout to smoke some hookah. After coming in and waiting for the waitress for a few minutes to order, she finally comes up and says no outside food or drinks. All i had was my water bottle that i brought to the gym, plus i was here a few days ago and the same waitress was waiting on tables of people who did themselves have water bottles no different than mine. If you have a dumb rule like that either enforce it on everyone or don't enforce it at all. Honestly my favourite place. My friends and I go here when our schedules match up to hang out, share a hookah, and have good food. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, the hookah has great flavors (seriously, rose vanilla and cantaloupe is amazing) and their food is amazing. The fries are perfectly crispy and seasoned, the schwarma is delicious and the hummus is incredible. Good service, too. I stopped here for lunch yesterday at the recommendation a non-yelp review somewhere (huge mistake). There were only 2 other customers there at the time. I ordered a lamb kabob and a small greek salad. It took 35 minutes for the greek salad to come out, and 45 minutes for the lamb kabob which was basically 3 small pieces of lamb on a stick; one of them was tough to chew. Several people went into the kitchen with hookahs and one came out with a cigarette. I know it's a hookah lounge, but that stuff should be kept out of the kitchen.. seriously.
