The first time I came in to this restaurant, my sister and I weren't sure what to eat, but I'm always in the mood for Indian food, and we happened to spot this on our way to a Thai restaurant, but decided to stop here, and boy am I glad we did. We ordered dinner here last night and as I savored my meal, I wished I could order from here (or visit) way more often. The prices are totally reasonable by the way, I just need to save money haha. We ordered chicken tikka masala with basmati rice, lentil soup, vegetable samoas, naan, red and green chutneys, and spiced onions & peppers. Being gluten free I ate everything except the naan and samoas, and every bite was delicious. It's food that just fills you up and makes you happy. Comfort food. And IndianBistro14 does the best job at securely packaging your order. Every item is placed in durable to-go containers, then tightly bundled in plastic cling wrap. Went here a while back and ordered the Mixed Grill, Keema Mutter, Garlic Naan, and got Mango Custard for dessert. The Mixed Grill is a combination of all tandoori specialties - it comes with Malai Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Seekh Kebab, and Shrimp. The Keema Mutter is succulent lamb sautéed with fresh green peas and a touch of curry sauce and it comes with rice. Both meals were pretty good, had lots of flavor and tasted so fresh. Got the Keema Mutter with medium spice and my friend thought it was the perfect spice level, but if I were to go again, I'd go up a level. I wasn't a huge fan of the Garlic Naan, thought it was just alright. The Mango Custard was so delicious, perfect way to finish off the meal. Had a pretty good experience overall, but I do wish the staff was a bit more attentive. We waited a long time to order and to get our check at the end. read more

We ordered the butter chicken and the tandoor chicken, we got the rice and the butter Nan and some chai and an Arnold Palmer and everything was delicious. If it wasn't for the Elite event, I never would have known about this delicious restaurant. Thank you for hosting us, I enjoyed my time and experience. When we walked in, it was a bit different from what I had expected; but I liked the calm their lighting provided. The little wall of water was very nice, it added a nice touch. We had a minute or two wait before being seated and we were served our beverages, within five minutes of being seated. There seemed to be one person tending to a few tables, but he was later joined and I was happy to see that. As more people came in, it was good to see he had additional help. The cute little robot assisted too; of course, I had to plug the robot in there somewhere. For the appetizer, I read some of the reviews from my fellow Elites and went with the veg assorted. It was so delicious and full of flavor! I honestly could have eaten it with a side of meat samosas and would have been more than happy. The veggie and meat samosas were the best thing I ate that afternoon, it was so good good good! I will go back just for those and to try a seafood entree, I like other meats, but fish would be my overall preference. The lunch tray (meat) was plentiful and filling; I ended up bringing most of it home. Between the appetizer and meal, you're stuffed by the time everything else is served. To top it off, I had the Sunrise Martini. Do not be fooled, the alcohol sneaks up on you. It was good! We were served a complimentary Chai, man oh man, it was good. It wasn't a normal Chai, it was better. When I'm in the area, if they're open, I will stop by and get more samosas, they're the best! The manager was the sweetest. When we received the receipt, I noticed we were charged for a complimentary (Elite) item and brought it to her attention. The manager was on it and corrected the issue, quickly. read more

This is the only Indian restaurant I go to in the DFW area and for good reason! The customer service is great and consistent every time. Today, the gentleman went out of his way to assist me with my pick up order after he saw me opening up my order to double check I had everything since I drove all the way from Dallas. He repackaged my food so it was safe for my ride. The food is consistently great and you cannot go wrong with the samosas! I order it every-time. The regular butter chicken can have more spiciness to it as it tasted more like a mild today. The mango chutney and tamarind sauce are the perfect accompaniments that remind me of home. I do recommend that the online ordering system be improved as I was directed to two different sites when trying to place an order. It wasn't clear that my order would come with rice as I ordered a side of rice when I didn't need to. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian cuisine! Every visit, the woman at the hostess desk is always welcoming and willing to answer any questions. This visit was no different. To start, I ordered the Vegetable Samosas w/tamarind sauce. Delicious as usual. My daughter ordered the Pani Puri; our server indicated this was an Indian street food. It was our first time trying this. The presentation was unique and we both enjoyed trying this dish. I ordered the Butter Chicken Masala- spice level medium, because I was craving it. It hit the spot. Creamy and full of flavor. I just wish I had ordered some naan. The server did offer naan, I was just focused on getting the Butter Chicken Masala. My daughter ordered the Chicken Vindaloo- spice level hot. She indicated the flavor was savory and blended well with the spice. She also liked the thickness of the curry. The chicken and potatoes were cooked just right, also. This was our first time trying Vindaloo. This dish will be added to the rotation, for me. There is a noticable difference in the spice level between the two dishes. If spice is your thing definitely start with hot, and work your way up. My daughter indicated the spice level difference between medium and hot was apparent. The medium spice level was easily enjoyable while the spice level for hot was persistent even after you finish the food, which she had no complaints about. read more

It was three different curry dishes with rice, dipping sauces a dessert, garlic naan and side little fried pastry. Hate to admit it, but I'm still not fully confident on what I ate, but it was absolutely delicious! So about this robot... We stopped by because we weren't able to go to our regular spot in Dallas Ordered to go via phone initially, but she wanted us to pay by phone. There was an option for her to send a link and we pay though it, but we just told her we were right down the street and would just come in to pay. So phone orders = pay ahead. Parking was tight, and shared, but not a hassle. $37ish($18ish per person). 2 butter chickens- spice level regular & spice level medium (comes with rice) and 2 sides of naan (one cheese. One Garlic) 30 minute wait. They did not label the chicken so I literally had to taste both to figure out which was the spicier- my friend does NOT do spice. So that was inconvenient. The naan smelt burnt. It didn't taste that way, though, but we do think that we got regular naan instead of cheese. I thought the cheese naan was the garlic because of the way it looked, but it was good, nonetheless. I need the focus to be more chicken, instead of more sauce. Maybe this is a "to go" thing. Pretty yummy! We had a couple different heat levels and meat choices of masala ! Super creamy and mine had the perfect amount of kick! The cheese naan was much better than the garlic naan. I do think the amount of meat in the masala could have been greater. However, overall it was super flavorful! Service was friendly and they seemed genuinely excited for us to try their establishment out! The spot isn't huge, but plenty of seating. The place is nice and clean. Major attraction is a robot that brings in food! So we went there on a weekend as we were returning from a tired day at the lake. And we were really craving chai and samosas. The samosas were good! It has a different ting to it. I think they have added chat masala on the outer shell of the samosa itself thus it gave its own unique flavor. The filing was satisfactory as well. Other than that we ordered chicken korma. Well, the chicken korma wasn't really up to the mark. It felt too powdery like they mixed floor or something to thicken up the sauce. It didn't feel like chicken korma. I was able to experience Indian Bistro 14 as a part of a Yelp elite week event. As a part of the elite week, we were able to get a free appetizer and beverage. The young lady who waited on me was very kind and patient. For the appetizer, I ordered the Seekh Kebab appetizer and a ginger ale since I wasn't feeling 100%. I also ordered beef Madras curry and butter naan. I got my food to go and the ride home was torture due to how great everything smelled. I was extremely pleased with the packaging of the food and it definitely prevented spills. I loved everything that I ordered and even texted friends to say that we need to meet for dinner here. Found this gem in Arlington for delicious Indian cuisine. They invited us for a Yelp Elite event, the apps were so good we decided to order entrees and made it a complete meal! The assorted veg plate was really awesome for ppl who are indecisive like me, you get to try a little bit of everything! The Shahi Korma and Tikka Masala were fantastic, super creamy and paired so well with rice. Added bonus was the cocktails they offer, super tasty and they don't skim, so the drinks are quite potent! Indian Bistro is a unique find in this area of Arlington. We were greeted by a manager or possibly one of the owners when we came into the restaurant. She was very kind, and checked in us throughout or visit. I got a Mango margarita which was on the strong side, alcohol wise, but still good. For an app I got the Malai Tikka, which as my wife said reminded her a little bit of an Indian Chicken Fajita, especially with the veggies with the chicken and a lime to squeeze on it before you eat it. I surprisingly really enjoyed the veggie app my wife got during our visit and would get that again. I got an Beef Vindaloo as my meal, and I enjoyed the spice level. They have a robot that brings out items to your table, but that is not to take away from the excellent service we received while there. The owner is so sweet and attentive. Take out is always on point. The food is amazing. My girlfriend, put it best, she said, "I never even look at what I'm putting on my plate because I already know it's going to be delicious." They have homemade naan, street desserts that the owner will guide you through (it's the cutest), a robot that will serve you or be working on Togo, all sorts of yummy sauces, a full bar, I could basically live here. I ordered through DoorDash and paid around $30 without tip. I said this once and I'll say it again, prices are inflated for delivery, which I can accept but you better deliver on your product. I ordered the Saagwala Curry, cheese naan, and gulab jamun. You should be embarrassed if you can't fill the container of rice to the top. 3/4 filled rice was the first negative. The second, which people have said the same thing, they skimp on the chicken in the dish. At $16.49, your profit margins should be through the roof or is Door Dash taking a huge chunk of that? The flavors were on point and the food wasn't bad at all but you're cheating your customers by doing this. I've also had better Gulab.
