One of our favorites in the Arlington Heights area. We love this friendly spot, with awesome service and staff. The food is always great--the chicken tikka masala is our go-to, and I also really enjoy the lamb vindaloo. The vegetable samosas are among the best we've had; I just wish they offered a meat samosa option too! The atmosphere is always nice and cozy, with pleasant background music that adds to the experience. It's definitely a place we love returning to. read more

The staff was very warm and welcoming. My family and I loved our server Bindi, she was very attentive and gave us some great suggestions. The food is absolutely delicious and made it a lot of love. My family and I ordered a variety of things from the menu and everything was 10/10. I would definitely come back to this place again! read more

I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this place yet.. (EDIT: I have, I just forgot lol) This is the only Indian restaurant I have been going to and will continue to go to. Alone the food is amazing. I've tried too many things and have been more than satisfied by everything I've ordered, so all I can say is, anything is great here. However if I can recommend something specific, it'd be the Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Vindaloo with Goat or Lamb, the spinach paneer, the sampler plate, the garlic naan, the paratha, the cauliflower... The list goes on. All that aside, the customer service is amazing. They remember everytime I walk in and ask how I am and/or my family if they aren't with me. The service is quick and very polite. 10/10 I highly recommend a visit. read more

It's a mixed bag. I usually get samosa or gobi manchurian app and a veg dish - dal makhani, chana masala, saag paneer, mixed vegetable curry - and enjoy all of it for sure. Plus they make it SPICY when I ask them to. Love that. But when I have come with others and we get a variety of plates, I start to see the flaws. Dry chicken and lamb in the tandoori plates. Dry hard chicken pieces in the chicken chili. Very greasy chicken manchurian. Fish biryani did not have the right flavors and the fish was dry. Lamb vindaloo chewy and dry. Not sure why there is such a disparity in the veg/non-veg, but that has been our experience. Prices are great. Ambiance leaves a bit to be desired. It's very dark in the back half of the dining room and makes having lunch there feel rather dismal at times. 3.5 stars rounded up because I still really love the vegetarian menu and the staff has been so sweet. read more

Very unassuming from the exterior but once you're inside you'll see well spaced dining spots along with beautiful decorations. There are no physical menus, just a QR code. My friend got the chicken Saag and I got the Lamb Biryani. Both medium spice which was perfect and the yogurt that came with the Biryani was perfectly tart. We also got samosas, and garlic naan; both yummy! The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. I can't wait to come back - highly recommend it! read more

India Grill in Arlington was SUCH a pleasant surprise -- easily one of the best Indian restaurants I've tried in the area. I ordered via Uber Eats delivery. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, papyri chaat and Garlic Naan, and everything was spot on. The tandoori came out sizzling and perfectly charred on the outside but still juicy inside. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and exactly what you want on a cozy night -- not overly sweet, not overly spicy, just balanced and flavorful. And the garlic naan? Soft, fluffy, buttery... I could honestly eat it by itself. prices are fair, and the flavors taste authentically Indian -- as someone who grew up eating Indian food. read more

The decor in this restaurant was really nice. I liked everything they chose and the restaurant was very clean. Throughout my time here, I frequently saw staff cleaning. The food was pretty good. It was my first time eating Indian food and I enjoyed it. The service was the reason why I gave 4 stars as opposed to 5. We had to wait such a long time to order and then once we finished, we again had to wait a long time. It was to the point where I went and asked for the check. Outside of the long wait times, I enjoyed myself. read more

Lamb chops were so good. Great chicken tikka masala. Garlic naan was decent. Cheese naan was horrible. Don't recommend the cheese one Service is decent as well. read more

It's been a minute since I've had good Indian food, and this restaurant did not disappoint. Service was a bit on the slower side, but the servers were friendly and welcoming. My favorite part of the ambiance was the battery-powered candle at the center of the table. It added to the vibes of the somewhat dimly-lit interior. We ordered a variety of appetizers that were all so delicious and flavorful: seekh kabob, aloo tikki chaat, paneer pakoras, and samosa. Besides the samosa, I had never tried any of the other items before, but I loved every single bite of them. I got the chicken tikka masala for my main entree, and it was one of the best tikka masala I have ever eaten. The chicken was super tender, and the sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. I will say that the food is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality was worth the price point in my opinion. read more

I came here for a work event with a large group. The ambiance was amazing. The vegetation options were endless and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. From the samosas, to paneer, and mango lassi, the cuisine was most definitely worth the drive to Arlington. Stop by they won't disappoint. read more

Food is great. Have celebrated many special moments here. I was gifted a e-gift card. The staff and management refused to honor it first because it was too old (14 months and no expirations date). Then they refused to honor it because had "changed systems." They acknowledged that it was their restaurant's card. This is theft and bad business. read more

This place delivers EVERY.TIME. I tried the chicken vindaloo today, spice level 3/5. It was DEFINITELY spicy but still edible. Note to self, a 2/5 would probably be a little more comfortable. It was delicious, though. The spice didn't overpower the flavors. Also, idk if this happened with the remodel, but the place used to smell like the food they cook here, but now it smells like incense. Not a bad thing at all, just a noticed change. Samosas are still amazing. Love this restaurant. read more

Great customer service and the food was phenomenal. I tried some buttered chicken and it was great!

It was delicious! Nicely decorated, kind staff and tons of vegetarian options. I'll be back.

Overall: The India Grill is delicious! If you're looking for authentic Indian food this is a great option. Went for an early dinner and the restaurant was clean and quiet. The servers were attentive, the decor was lovely, and the food had nice portions. What I Got: - Butter Chicken: Yummy sauce and juicy chicken. It was great! - Tikka Masala w/ lamb: Again, the sauce is delicious. The lamb was tender and lean, and didn't include fatty pieces which I appreciate. - Bhindi Do Pyaza: I really enjoyed this. The crunchy of the okra was great. I like to pair this with the tikka masala. read more

Love this place for when I want Indian food. Service is amazing and I get sat down right away. The portions are large and I always end up with food to take home. Spicy chicken masala and garlic naan is my go to order and it never disappoints. The decoration and music really emphasizes the culture. read more

We received our food quickly. It was tasty but not as fulfilling of some I've had. My husband and I ordered chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, and saag paneer. All medium spice. With 2 orders of naan we had plenty to take home. Add to request pappadums (usually they arrive without being ordered) and extra chutney. The interior is nicely decorated and soothing. My husband loves the food here. read more

Went for the first time last night for dinner, never made it past the 2 appetizers we ordered. They really should specify they load up everything with tons of uncooked red onions! Yuck! Menu doesn't mention onions at all, I lost my appetite and left without having dinner, the appetizers were enough of a warning to leave. read more

I look forward to going back! I got the shrimp tikka masala and it was really good. My favorite was their garlic, green onion naan, I could eat it every day. The ambience is really nice too. Good service and beautiful decor. We tried the samosas and they were fabulous! Hot, crispy and perfect level of spice. I split a chicken tikka masala with my boyfriend and it was enough food for both of us! It comes with rice. We also got the garlic naan and normal naan. Like others mentioned, the garlic naan is SUPER garlicky; I would just stick with the normal. We got the masala as mild and it was not spicy at all. read more

I can't recall the last time i had Indian food but after going to India grill I'll need to have it more often. The restaurant is quite large when you walk inside and has a lot of different art within it adding to the ambiance. I ordered the hit beer, very good like a light lager. For dinner had the tandoori chicken and tandoor paneer. Both were delicious although on the tandoori chicken you may still be hungry because not much meat in the pieces we had. The service was ok, took a while for someone to come take our drink orders after being seated but outside of that everything else was great. I aj so recommend the regular naan over garlic naan. The garlic naan tastes just like garlic. read more
