Weak coffee on Saturday morning. Ready nice indoor environment. Unfortunately I decided to not to stay. How can you possibly read Soren Kierkegaard on Saturday morning with weak coffee. Well I did. A little disappointed with the coffee. Kierkegaard a masterpiece!!

Huge shoutout to Mohammed for allowing my group to congregate here and enjoy Shibam Coffees amazing menu. The service was top notch and even though we had a large group, they were able to get drinks out quickly. The inside is clean and had a lot of room, definitely more room than how it looks from the street. My wife bought the Pistachio latte, in which she said it was one of the best drinks she's had in a long while. I bought the Yemeni tea and it hit the spot! I wish they had one of these in the Austin TX area, it would do really well. Regardless, we will be back!

I explored over to this spot while my husband got a haircut next door and was not disappointed! This place is keep immaculate and cleaner than any other spots i've been to recently! There's ample seating inside but parking can be a bit tricky and you may have to wait for someone to leave. I got a pistachio latte and a slice of the lotus cheesecake to go! The pistachio latte was delicious and sweet but be warned that coffee is HOT. Maybe wait a few minutes before taking a sip! The lotus (biscoff) cheesecake just appeared too perfect not to get a slice! It was a regular cheesecake with a layer of biscoff on top and lotus crumbles as a crust! The flavor was great but for some reason the texture of the cheese cake seemed strange for both me and my husband. I can't wait to come back and try more pasties and drinks!

The Iced Pistachio Latte has become a staple in my life I'm a very short time. The Adeni Tea is good too. I tried their Pistachio Cheesecake, and it was very creamy! I really want to try their Chocolate Cake-Pop but they are always out when I visit :( It's a cute cafe with a small sitting place outside. The service is always good!

Shibam is the metroplex's newest Yemeni coffee experience, located in the heart of Richardson right off 75. Its interior features unique and detailed Middle Eastern architecture and a small prayer corner nestled near the back. The menu has something for everyone, including refreshers for non-coffee drinkers, appetizers, and a kid's menu. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and the warmth of the staff -- they made you feel welcomed in this space. But, as inviting as the staff was, they really struggled with basic operational needs (itemizing receipts, giving ticket/order numbers, and communicating about order status). And, the food/drinks were underwhelming; my meditative tea tasted like water, and the honeycomb was cold and bland. Shibam is a nice addition to the Yemeni coffee landscape but, with so much competition, it'll take a lot more than honeycomb appetizers and Adeni tea to stand out. Excited to return in about a month and see if they've ironed out those kinks!

Gotta be honest, I prefer this to Arwa. I don't think a lot of people know about this place because it's not usually full like Arwa is. I prefer their tea and pastries here. It's a great place to work, take a break, or have a catch up with a friend. Staff is always friendly, ambience is amazing, and lots of seating available. Definitely a regular stop for me when I'm in the area.

Beautiful spot with delicious options. Lots of seating variety too - there's a ton of seating in this spacious place. We came early and the place was nice and quiet. Interior is absolutely beautiful. Little strip mall parking lot outside. Shibam latte (iced) - was recommended this for milk substitutes (I ordered w oat milk). Delicious ginger taste & a real caffeine punch. I believe the Shibam coffee is made with evaporated milk and that one isn't substituted. Qishr (hot) - nice fragrant taste from the brew. This was pleasant, but I'll ask for it iced next time as it comes nearly scalding.

My friend recommended this place and we had to give it a try. Fahmi and Ahmed were polite, friendly and patient with us. This is our first time to try a Yemeni coffee shop. They thoroughly provide the different selections. We tried the Iced Pistachio Latte, Mocha Latte, Shibam Coffee, Sana'ani Coffee and Adani Coffee with yummy pastries! I forgot the pastry names but the cheese pastry and the cheese with honey pastry were good. I typically get acid reflux when drinking coffee so I was cautious. BUT after finishing my iced mocha latte, I was happy that I did not have acid reflux. In fact, I got another drink -- iced pistachio latte! Yum! We brought more home :) The ambience was cozy and welcoming. Our quick coffee run turned into a few hours sit down chat over delicious drinks. I reside in Princeton, about 27 minutes away. I surely will be back here. Highly recommended!

I stopped by this coffeeshop while I was in the area and I was very impressed! I got the shibam coffee and I loved the flavor of it. The spices were strong and paired well with the coffee. It wasn't overly sweet which I preferred. The coffeeshop itself is super aesthetic and there is plenty of seating.

This is the cutest yemeni coffee shop ever. It is also open much earlier than some others nearby which actually led us to trying it after going to Arwa and discovering it was closed! Have been back twice and have tried the yemeni latte (added some honey) and matcha. The good thing about here is that they also have a variety of different drinks that don't have coffee or tea (mocktails, summer friendly drinks) which are great when you want something but need a break from coffee or caffeine in general. Both drinks we tried were great. Staff is very welcoming and friendly, and it would be such a great place to come and relax or work. I really really love the decor so stressing that again, it is really such a cute spot inside. Immaculate. They also had some snacks and things in the front case that looked delicious, we wanted to try but were going on a bit of a hiking journey after.

    Adeni Chai (medium kettle)

Love love love this place! Compared to another nearby coffee place I also reviewed it is more quiet , so it's perfect for studying or heads down time if you're working. Tons of variety in drinks and pastries. My friend and I split a medium kettle of Adeni Chai. It' was so good! Very rich in flavor - chain chai drinks can't compare to this. Warning it did give me a LOTTA caffeine/feeling of hyper ness afterwards so maybe next time or if you're sensitive get a smaller size. I also took the zaatar bread and subaya to go. Both were pretty good! It took a while for the drinks/food to be made, but that's how you know this is a place that cares about making their items authentic and the best they can be.

The wave of Muslim owned coffee shops are definitely taking the country by a storm and we are absolutely here for supporting our local coffee roasters and business owners as well giving wings to much needed social third spaces. La Souq is located in the heart of Richardson right on Main Street. With ample parking and lots of seating both indoors and outdoors, this establishment really sets itself apart as a perfect place to unwind and have a little pick me up. I especially love the neutral earthy tones of the interior, blending timelessly and giving an elegant and airy, open vibe to the entire space. If I lived in Dallas i would be here every weekend with my laptop. The cashiers are always super kind and friendly, always greeting you with a smile. I haven't tried any of their baked goods because I am religiously a matcha girly through and through. The matchas I've gotten here have been pretty good for the most part but the quality does vary slightly depending on who is making them. The vanilla matcha had no sweetness to it whatsoever which was very odd. Same goes for the fig matcha, the syrup was just not cutting it in flavor and the whole drink felt very milk heavy. I always ask for an extra shot of matcha and they just two times my drink just wasn't made strong enough. However, this past weekend I finally got my wish with the strawberry matcha which was made very very well and I was blessed with the extra matcha just as I like it. I think they should definitely work on standardizing drink consistency and quality to keep repeat patrons happy. Other than that I find this to be a wonderful gathering spot where my cousin and I love to come hang out and enjoy being around community and people of all walks of life.

Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.
