We were returning from a restaurant in Richardson and the wife said she read about and wanted to try this donut shop because they use rice flout and the donuts were supposed to be light and airy. So we stopped and bought 6, which after tax was $20 which I thought was rather high for donuts. The guy behind the counter asked if she wanted 3, 6, 9, or 12, which raises the question whether it is possible to buy just 1 or some other number rather than groups of 3. She bought an assortment and I got the churros flavor. The donuts tasted like churros with the cinnamon but overall I was not a fan of the texture. The inside is chewy and very different from a regular donut. IMO the donuts were dense and not light. I understand that this type of donut has a fan base and that is fine. I was SO happy to discover a Mochinut near me recently (though apparently it's been open for a while)! I had only ever had them in California. I have tried other mochi donuts in Dallas, but now I remember why this place is my favorite! The texture of these donuts is so incredible, and they had some fun flavors (as always) to choose from. I tried the choco pie, ube coconut, and pineapple. They all tasted amazing, but I was let down by the choco pie flavor. It tasted like a regular chocolate donut with zero marshmallow flavor. Location looked like it's kept clean. Staff isn't the friendliest, which is usually what I experience in the Cali locations too. No one is ever rude by any means. But also no one seems to love working there. It always strikes me as a weird dynamic along with how cute and bubbly all the branding is. 3 donuts will cost about $10 with tax. That may sound like a lot if you're thinking of the western donuts that are less than that for a dozen. Think of this as a dessert for two for ten bucks. Hi went and was let down prices high donuts was cold and the texture wasn't up to PART and customer service very much so not good. I waited. I waited like 15 minutes or something that was already done. I came here to order the mochi donuts and was surprised to see they also serve a good number of drinks and Korean hot dogs. The cashier was friendly and nice. The place looked clean inside. I ordered the churro, regular, taro, strawberry, coffee, and chocolate. My dad really enjoyed these and liked the chocolate one as it has chocolate pebbles cereal on it for a nice crunch. I don't completely remember what the inside looked like because we were rushing to get to another place, but from I can remember, I thought it was cute. I had to jump in here and compliment the bathroom specifically. For a donut shop, it is so immaculate. They have a split menu behind the scenes. The boba is through the Daboba vendor. Their bobas are always on point. The Korean hotdogs are on point. For the price of the donuts, Id pass and go to another "artesian donut" place for half the cost, and twice the batter. I've been to their location in Plano, but this location also has Daboba along with their classic Mochinut drinks (although they didn't have the cans when we went). I got the Fruity Party but replaced the coconut jelly with boba. It was refreshing and I liked the fruit pieces in it, but I think the plastic bear top is a waste of plastic, even if it's cute. I also got their potato mozzarella cheese dog, which was also good, although I wish it had sugar (I didn't ask and they didn't mention anything so I forgot). That said, they open at 11am daily and haven't cared to update their hours on either yelp or google. Came during their soft opening week. The store is very cute and clean! They didn't have their full menu available but I came for the mochi donuts anyways. These are sold in boxes of 3, 6 or 12 (no singles unfortunately) I opted to try the funnel cake raspberry, chocolate almond, and strawberry. It was still a little warm when I got ate them and had a light crispiness which is great. It's not as chewy as the other places I've had but it's still good over all! I could barely taste the raspberry sauce, not the most special flavor Chocolate almond: 5/5 surprisingly loved this one a lot cause there were also bits of toffee or something in addition to the almond. It was very tasty and not too sweet Strawberry: 4/5 a little bit artificial on the strawberry flavor, I wish it was a bit more tart but still a good and safe flavor. To be fair this is their soft opening and the ratings are feedback from my daughters. Was disappointed they didn't have the hot dogs/ corn dogs. There's 6 flavors and we tried them all. There was one labeled mango, but it looked and tasted like chocolate. The donuts was soft/good and had the same consistency. The only difference was the toppings. We tried 3 drinks and the only complaint my girls had was it was hard to get the boba out. We would try this again when they have the hotdogs. It is a bit pricey.
