Saw this reviewed online. Delicious! Veggies very fresh. We ordered 1/2 sandwiches which was plenty. Bread was soft and almost like sweet Hawaiian bread but not too sweet.

Honestly a really amazing sandwich. It feels like an authentic ran down New York joint and I absolutely love it. I don't know how I missed this place every time I've driven by it but I will certainly be back. The only issue I'd have is it's pretty expensive for a sandwich shop, but judging strictly off of the sandwiches it's delicious.

    Gonna try out these subs

Wow! These subs are so good. Only get the Whole sandwich off you haven't eaten for a couple days lol. That thing is massive! Hubby got the Texas sub and devoured it and I got the half plain turkey and it's the least plain turkey sub I've ever had! Meaning it's mouth watering and so worth the wait. The line can get pretty hectic. The employees are swamped with in store and online to-go orders but they have a well oiled system you can tell. Nice and hard working. Worth the visit!

Decided to head over for lunch today after seeing rave reviews. I was about 12 minutes away but didn't have too much time so decided to call ahead and place my order. When I arrived there wasn't much parking but luckily I was in and out so I just pulled into the neighboring 711. The place has a very unpretentious feel. Very welcoming to all. I am glad I ordered ahead because my lunch hour seemed to be going by pretty fast. Staff was friendly. I had ordered the Italian Beef with peppers and a mango flavored tea by a company called Joe Tea. This came out to 21$ which is a little pricy compared to the other Italian Beefs I've had recently. The sandwich I had was very big in size and definitely had amazing flavor. From the first bite you know this place cares about the quality of their food. It was phenomenal. The heat from the peppers was a little delayed. The bread was very nice and held together well after I poured some au jus over it. Very nice place with a great tasting Italian Beef sandwich. The tea paired very well and was very much needed after the heat from peppers started to come on.

I would give this place 3.5/5 but rounded up. I ordered the pizza sub and the roast beef sub. The roast beef sub was good, but the beef wasn't rare, its was more med well. But I'm glad I found a place with the style of roast beef that I like. I just hope if I try it again, it's the right temperature. Also, the sub roll was strangely sweet. Not terrible but just not the kind of sub roll I'm used to. The pizza sub was good, exactly what it sounds like. I'd definitely try and come back, just hoping the roast beef is cooked better.

New York Sub makes wonderful sandwiches. My favorite is their "Reuben" - big mouthfuls of messy deliciousness of hot pastrami, sauerkraut, pickles, and, Russian dressing inside a toasted white bun! Welcoming and efficient is the service. Fun and family-friendly is the atmosphere. Busy it is at lunchtime and always on weekends. Familiar are the faces for most ordering are repeat customers! CHEERS!

    Best turkey Reuben ever!!

I was in between meetings and wanted to find a quick lunch. Searched sandwiches near me and this place came up. I'm SO HAPPY I tried it. I ordered the turkey Reuben and WOW......the sandwich was so good! Easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Comes with Turkey Pastrami, Sauerkraut, Homemade Pickles, Italian Oregano and Russian dressing. Everything about the flavors were perfect together. The sauerkraut could be a bit more tangy, but the pickles made up for that. I was going to order it without pickles, but I'm so glad I didn't. They were absolutely delicious. The Sprinkle of Oregano worked so well to add a perfect pop of flavor. The bread......the BREAADDD! It was a perfect texture of toasted pillowy goodness. The half size was more than enough. They are not stingy AT ALL with their delicious meat. I had leftovers that I happily ate the next day. I honestly cannot wait to get back and try another sandwich. Great service and food! What more could you ask for?

Number 20 is all meats. Salami pepperoni capicolo pastami beef ham turkey pepper turkey ham etc Whole sub is around 12 inches but it’s handmade bread so we can’t say it’s 12…

By the time the store opened, the line had grown to being over twenty parties long, so plan accordingly if you don't want to be waiting for a while. Between the four in our party, we shared a three meat BBQ plate with bacon burnt ends, brisket, and their house made sausage. For our two sides, we chose their hatch chile mac n cheese and their Mexican street corn. Following the recommendations of many Yelpers, we also ordered two of the brisket tostadas and two of the birria tacos. When we received our plate of meat, I was a bit surprised at how little of each meat there was on the plate, but in hindsight, this ended up being the perfect amount of food, where everyone was able to get a sample of everything. Of the items we ordered, my favorite was definitely the burnt ends. These were melt in your mouth tender, and was insanely rich and decadent. Each of the three pieces in our order had a beautiful bark on the outside that resulted in a satisfying crunch with every bite. The casing to the sausage was snappy and the sausage itself was very juicy. The brisket was fall apart tender. The brisket was a bit light on seasoning, so I ended up using the Aztec Gold BBQ sauce they had sitting at the table with it. The sides that we chose were both delicious. The pasta in the mac n cheese was cooked perfectly and the noodles was generously sauced. The elote was sweet and smokey, and the Cotija cheese added creaminess to the side. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hurtado Barbecue and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit if you're in Texas and are looking for great tasting BBQ.

The brisket and pork ribs were decent, but honestly pretty dry and lacking in flavor when compared to some other BBQ places in DFW. For the price, it's pretty similar to other BBQ in the area. The Texas Twinkie is a jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and brisket and wrapped in bacon. It was my favorite item as the cream cheese and bacon balanced out the spiciness of the jalapeño. The mac n cheese was also delicious with the perfect amount of spice. The service was great too as they made a mistake on my order and quickly corrected it. I like that this place is open daily and for dinner too. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for some BBQ, but if you're a huge fan of BBQ then I recommend going to the other top BBQ places.

Go! The Real Deal!…read moreNow that we have that out of the way, let's explore further. I will start by saying Hurtado was close to scoring a 5 Star review but fell short for one,Major reason. My memories of the farmers market area of Dallas Texas are some of my earliest. Going back decades to when it was an actual farmers market. You know, where farmers load trucks of fresh produce and travel 10s or hundreds of miles in order to sell the fruits of their labor and make a living. Well, starting about 40 years ago, that small farmer ethos started fading and the powers that be implemented a Farmers Market Redevelopment Plan. Bingo, that's where we are today. A popular multiuse, living, working, resturant, shopping district that's self sustaining on the edge of downtown. Enter Hurtado and another startegiclly placed outpost for their award winning Texas BBQ with a twist. Located in a new architecturally pleasing building, the only potential barrier between you and the brisket is parking. On my Tuesday lunch this wasn't a problem but at busier times, keep this in mind. When you enter, the place is bright and clean with staff waiting to make your visit count. The hostess even brought us menues as we looked up at the wall menu choices, nice touch. Before long we decided and slid up the counter to order. Ordering, paying, taking our number and beverage glasses, was easy peasy. In case your inclined, there is a full bar which may entice my return visit . Full array of soft drinks and ice tea is also handy. We took a comfortable booth and only wait ed a few minutes ( long enough for our delicious hand cut fries to cook) before our "El Jeffe" was delivered to our table. After the drooling stopped we dove in sharing, brisket, ribs, hatch Chili Mac n cheese, brisket beans, bread, pulled pork, burnt ends, hand cut fries and Texas Twinkies. The food here is excellent. Made with love as Texas Barbecue has to be. Service with a smile is the deal clincher. I will return for a follow up review and reveal what kept me from serving up the 5 th star! For now I recommend you... Go!
