I'll be blunt- this was one of the worst cheeseburgers I've ever had. Big thick raw onion was most of my first bite. Overkill of mayo smeared on the bun. Patty smaLL and totally overshadowed by toppings, barely remember beef being in there at all. Props to them for being original with the bun choice (sort of poppy seed soft bagel style) Not made with TLC, very disappointing. I like trying divey, dicey places, but ya that burger was a let down! Killers is a staple and deservedly so, while I'll always recommend the drive in location for the old school feel, this one ain't too bad either. For some reason two cheeseburgers were added on to our order and by the time we made it to the window the lady at the window was obviously pissed off. One huge tall mexican guy by the name of Roberto G. (from the receipt) came to the window and took over the register. He gave me the total of 78.00 and I informed him that the was the same price that the lady had given me and that the two cheeseburgers needed to be taken off. His response was "I'm pretty sure she took the two cheeseburgers off", and he took my card and went to swipe it. At that time, my mother and my girlfriend joined in telling him that the 78.00 is incorrect. He finally found that the cheeseburgers were not removed and he gave me my correct total of 69.34 after like 5mins of trying to explain to the girl. Overall the staff is rude and the guy needs to be fired and will end up getting himself hurt with his disrespectful attitude. I will never give a dime to this location even though I have been giving my businesses to Kellers before these jokers even knew about this place. This place should invest in a digital screen so that we can read as the orders in the drive thru. I just moved to Dallas today and this is the first dinner I had as a new Dallas resident. It did NOT disappoint! I went through the drive through and it was easy and pain free. I got the number 5 which was delicious. On my burgers I normally go for only meat and cheese, but I branched out and am so glad I did. It tasted homemade and was perfect for my picky eater self. Loved the thousand island dressing! I also got a side of fries and they were very good, needed a ton of salt though. For a drive through burger option, it is great. Tastes so much more fresh than Whataburger and other burger options. My only complaint is the side of ranch is Kraft ranch packets. I bet they could make some mean homemade ranch!! I've been doing some research online in regards to finding a great burger in the north Texas area. Keller's name came up a lot in various places, so I decided to give them a try. Apparently there are three locations, and I went to the one on Garland Rd in Dallas. This was on a Saturday afternoon, so I expected it to be somewhat busy. Upon pulling into the parking lot I saw a couple of cars in line, but not a single person eating in the dining area inside or at the large outdoor area. Maybe that should have been my first clue. I placed an order for the #1 burger, but asked for no cheese, and an order of fries along with a vanilla shake. The people working there all seemed very nice, but upon looking around the indoor dining area I was rather surprised that it looked like a dump. Every single booth had rips and large chunks torn out of the seats, the floor was dirty, although someone started sweeping it but stopped for about 10 minutes and left a pile of dirt/trash right smack in the middle of the walking area. Eventually it was cleaned up. The food came out about 10 minutes later, they forgot my shake so I had to ask for it. And the food ... well, again I can overlook an unsightly and somewhat dirty decor if the food is great, and after reading so many glowing reviews about Keller's I figured that's where the real magic is, the food. Wrong. The burger, even though apparently it was just cooked, was only what I'd call warm. Not sure why that was, but that's how it was served to me. The taste? I honestly can't say it was any better than your standard Whatburger, if even that good. In fact it had some sort of an off taste that I can't describe, but it wasn't pleasant. Maybe the grill needed a good cleaning or something. The fries were just ok, nothing more. At least they were piping hot and crispy. The "shake", I'll have to put in parenthesis, because really all it was was nothing more than vanilla soft serve ice cream. Overall it just seemed like no real thought was put into serving the best possible food to their customers or doing so in a nice environment. Needless to say I was rather disappointed in my visit to Keller's. Perhaps the other Keller's locations are better representative of their food and ambiance. Since you can't give half stars I'll begrudgingly give them a 3, but think it's really closer to a 2 1/2. I don't like giving negative reviews, but I have to call 'em as I see 'em, and my visit here was a real letdown. read more

Every time I'm back in Dallas I make sure to eat at Keller's, a restaurant that has been a family favorite since the 1960s. This location is the sit-down place, not the drive-in. I had the No. 3 cheeseburger and added jalapeños and grilled onions. The ingredients were fresh, the meat perfectly cooked and the signature poppy seed bun as good as always. I know this place is a Dallas institution but it hasn't been good the last several times I tried it. Looooong wait at the drive with no cars in front of me and no crowd inside. Received an overcooked burger on a bun that was partially soggy bun accompanied by cold fries, all for $11. The place is in an obvious state of decline and disrepair and the all-around optics don't bode well for those that can spot red flags. I have loved Keller's since I was little. I hadn't been here in years but was in the area so we stopped by. This is definitely the place to go for a good burger. I got a regular cheeseburger. It had a great flavor and it wasn't overly greasy. My son got the junior burger and it definitely wasn't junior! That burger was still huge. He loved every bit of it. Their tots are still my absolute favorite. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I definitely recommend stopping in here for a good burger! read more

Ordered my soda light ice, it was full of ice. Burger was bland, fries were wrapped on paper and then placed on paper tray. Fries were not salted. This location is slowly going downhill. I was there last Friday and ordered #5 with tots. First I don't remember the #5 having onions, it came with a huge onion. Second the burger was super cold, it tasted like it was two days old. The tots were the only thing that was edible. I would have went back had I not been late for an appointment.
