Visited Burger Schmurger for the first time and overall, it was a really solid experience. Tucked inside the High Five bar, the vibe was super casual and laid-back--perfect for a quick bite or a hang with friends. The staff was friendly, and service was prompt even with the bar scene going on around it. I ordered one of their signature burgers, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The bun was fresh and held everything together without getting soggy. Fries were crispy and well-seasoned--a great sidekick to the main event. Now, the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5: the full menu wasn't available during my visit. I was looking forward to trying the wings, but I learned they're only cooked during what they call "Sunday Funday," which wasn't made super clear within the online menu. A little disappointing, but not a dealbreaker. I'll definitely be back--especially on a Sunday--to see what the full menu's about. If the wings are anywhere near as good as the burgers, it'll be worth the return trip. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Just check ahead if you're hoping to try something specific!

This burger place is in a cool dive bar in east Dallas with a great welcoming atmosphere. The staff was quick and friendly definitely a place to have a few beers on a hot sunny weekend. The burger was very tasty and meaty. I wish the pickles were a little thicker so you would get a better balance to the meaty Cheesy patty.

I was really excited to finally try Burger Schmurger after seeing so much hype. While this location doesn't have the same wait times as the new brick and mortar one, the menu is severely limited. When we went, they had the Schmurger but were not offering fries and most of the other menu items. The Schmurger was made really well and one of the better smash burgers I have had; however, it was disappointing not having the whole meal. Because of the menu limitations, I will probably not come back to this location but would be excited to go to the brick and mortar shop.

August 2024 2ish pm Located inside High Fives Parking : we found two spots. It's a shaded, small/tight parking lot. We saw it's shared with businesses across the street too. The whippersnapper and Plomo Quesadillas are neighboring businesses. Inside: it's a small dive bar. You order at the bar with the bartender and pay in advance and take a number. It was hot in there- the fans were blowing but it's Texas so it felt like there was actually no AC. Pretty clean- they clean the tables as the customers get up. Staff- that were friendly to me... I have read reviews about the bar that made me skeptical to go inside..... but I went for it because I'm looking for the BEST burgers in DFW.... I did not feel uncomfortable and everyone I met was friendly. Pricing- no drink. Two OG burgers and a fry basket was almost $40. Maybe the $36/37 mark. Wait time- burgers were done in less than 12 min but the crowd had left when we did so our order was worked on promptly. Burgers - seasoned very well. Good flavor. One star off because of the size. I really wish the burgers were bigger. They're so good. Fries- seasoned well- nothing I would have to have a la carte. The basket of fries was $1 extra than having two separate orders. It comes with like 4-5 SMALL sauces. I would opt for the small fries over the basket. There were only 2 sauces I liked. I wasn't a fan of their house ranch. Too strong. Honey mustard (I think) wasn't good. There was a bbq tasting one that I liked and some other my friend liked. The last sauce was too " mayonnaisey " Overall- I would return. Bigger burgers, AC, and maybe a couple of drinks in on that price would've made it a 5 star for me.

I was under the impression that Burger Schmurger is a burger joint, but Burger Schmurger is served at the bar of another bar called High Fives. Which I thought is a bit weird, but whatever works for thr business, I guess! Now let's talk about the burger.. omg!! And the fries!? Omg omg!! I could eat this everyday of my life and be happy! It's a bit of a drive for me, 35-40 mins, but I'll gladly visit many more times hopefully. It's a chill bar vibe. The servers are great too!

Dare I say, THIS IS THE BEST BURGER SPOT IN DFW! Yes I said it. The Maverick was my favorite. The burgers are a good size and a decent price. This restaurant is part of the bar called High Fives. I'm not too sure how busy it gets at night but you may want to keep in mind that it is a bar. I came on an early Saturday afternoon and it was not busy.

I had no idea that Burger Schmurger was inside High Fives and was connected Whippersnapper! It's been a while since we have been down to lower Greenville so it was a very pleasant surprise! My favorite burgers on planet earth are those being served out of dive bars! They just make the best burgers hands down! The vibe and ambiance in this place is a little dumpy but I say that with total affection. You don't come here for 15 dollar beers if you catch my drift. I ordered the OG. And man was that the crispiest beef patty I ever had, I think so! I mean the crust on this thing was just unreal. Epic smash! And the ooey gooey cheesiness helped mellow out the crispy edged patty in such a way that it all worked together. The grilled onions were nice and charred. The thinly sliced homemade pickles were delicious and the perfect balance of acid this burger needed. The burger sauce was also really good because you could taste that it was mustard based. My only call for improvement would be the meat and cheese to bun ratio. The burger felt a little light and small in my hand. No worries. Next time I'm gonna add an extra cheese patty with extra grilled onions, pickles, and sauce. That should do the trick. If you're gluten free, try their Schmurger fries. It's basically the OG without the bun on top of fries. My wife absolutely loved it. The fries were thick but hella crispy and perfectly seasoned, and by perfectly I mean heavily! Dave the chef/owner was super friendly and chatted us up while we enjoyed our lunch. Super nice guy! All in all, can't wait to come back and try my new additions to the burger, the hot dog, and the side chick! Hopefully sooner than later!

this was our second visit to Burger Shmurger and it really missed the mark. we had such high expectations because everything was so perfect the first visit, and we even got to the chat to the owner who seemed like a passionate guy. the fried chicken in the chicken sandwich was practically falling apart because of the amount of breading, and it killed the overall flavor profile. the fries ended up being too salty for our tastes, but they didn't skimp on the toppings. the original shmurger was delicious, although there still was a touch too much salt.

The seasonings we nice but the frys were soggy.

I realllllly wanted to like it. I was excited when they announced this location. Went on 5/21/25 and it was crowded with families, cool, but kids were running around all over the place unsupervised. Sat at the bar, must say the female bar tenders are the BOMB! Happy hour $4 ice cold drafts were nice. My friend and I split the regular burger and fries. I was shocked at how small the burger was, like,... kid size small. Halved it and went in for a bite...it smelled like rancid grill grease and old fish. The bun was also soaked with grease and totally flat. The fries were soggy and grease heavy. So sad! Might try another happy hour for the beer but ...not the burgers. Bummer.

This is one of my favorite burger joints in the area! You can't go wrong with the cheeseburger and fries. The drinks are also very good and the service was pretty friendly. The parking may be a little difficult but well worth it!

Schmurger Burger was amazing!!!! My hubs and I ordered the OG the Schmurger with a basket of French fries with 5 sauces. Everything's was incredible. I love the garlic aioli sauce with my fries. My husband had a mimosa and I enjoyed a bloody marry with Tito's. I can't wait to come back to this place.

It's not often that you get a burger that makes you stop eating to leave a 5 star review. I heard Burger Schmurger had the best burger in dallas and after having one I'm wiling to argue with anyone who says otherwise. Yes, if you're wondering it's located inside of High Fives which is a bar but the customer service is second to none and the place is clean. Instantly upon walking in we were greeted and handed menus. We went with the Schmurger which is the OG. It came with two patties, homemade dill pickles, special sauce and the best grilled onions I've ever had. The fries were hot and fresh and seasoned to perfection. They also come with a ton of sauces but my favorite was the aioli I asked for more lol. My husband tried the frozen margarita which he said was good and affordable it was only $11. We sat on the patio and enjoyed some people watching but this place is spacious with seating and parking. If you're looking to try the best burger in Dallas hands down then you should come here. They are very filling and cooked to perfection. I can't wait until our next visit to try the chicken sandwich which is only available on Sunday. The server made it sound amazing but we were so full we couldn't take another bite.

No numbers, they just remember who you are. I always get combo number 1 and add sweet potato fries. The prices are great and not much more than McDonalds but the difference in value is significant. The burgers are not thick but this time I noticed the double burger (#2) is just a couple of bucks more than the the single patty in #1. Note to self for next time. Although the patty is thin, the flavors work. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard. No ketchup, you add that yourself. The bun with sesame seeds always comes out piping hot. Sweet potato fries are crispy and not greasy. The combo comes with a drink for $10.99. That's a deal. I hope they stay in business another 13 years!

The neighborhood may continue to change around it, but Chip's remains the same. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Chip's has an old school, nostalgic feel. The restaurant has an iconic sloping roof with a yellow outdoor exterior and a big green sign with its logo. Inside, there are plenty of booths, a bar, and even outdoor seating. Chip's has grown and expanded over the years but to me that adds to the nostalgic charm. 1 Star. Service - Chip's may have invented counter service. Upon entering, you look at the menu posted on the wall and place your order. You'll get a number (or they'll ask for your name), and you grab a table, and when your food is ready it comes out. While it's pretty and tasty, the most important part, the patty, is pretty average. Honestly, there are many other great burger joints in Dallas. On the other hand, the fried onion strings are a must order for your side. While I wasn't a fan of the burger, the fried onion strings saved my meal. The Oreo and Fresh Banana shakes were also a nice cold, creamy, sweet ending to my meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I hope Chip's never changes. Once they were less volcanic, they were good. We split a burger with fried onions, and it was dry. The meat was overbooked, the bun was over toasted, and the whole thing needed plenty of beer to go down smoothly. The fries are fine, and we did appreciate that they had some steamed broccoli on the menu. Our daughter was happy with her kids cheeseburger meal, and she did like the chocolate-caramel malt shake she scored at the end. A main reason that we're landing on three stars is the ice cream situation. One of us ordered a soft serve vanilla, and nobody told her that the machine was down, so what she got instead was a cup of half melted Blue Bell soup...are you kidding! Thanks for the prompt refund, but letting your customer know what the situation is in advance goes a long way. So, we tried it. Add a notch to the Dallas belt.
