Great burger, excellent onion rings, and the fries are good too and fast! Friendly folks here, a neighborhood Jewel, I will be back.

Ate the Marko's Special! This burger comes with your choice of French fries and also a drink if you decide the combo. I came here and ate the Marko's Special asking the lady to see if I was able to finish the sandwich since it's 2 huge hamburger patties. It's a big big burger! I ate so much of the burger that I lost myself in cloud 9. I was just savoring the hamburger meat with the veggies and know this is the burger place to come to when you are starving. The veggies inside the burger that it had was jalapeños, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions I think or maybe It was all that cloud 9 feeling but I just took bite after bite that I ended feeling sleepy even with my Coca Cola.

Loved this burger spot. Strip mall, large plain dining area was clean. Friendly, smiling counter service. This place makes a great burger, the thickness and flavor of the patty, the right amount of veggies and a perfect bun. LOVED the burger. Reasonable prices and locally owned, not a chain. Highly recommend.

We called in an order for curbside pickup. The experience was great, very friendly employees, food was ready in a timely manner, & the food was very good. Definitely would share a combo next time. The burgers are very big & seasoned nicely

One of the best burger spots in Dallas. I've never been disappointed. Also love the poppy seed buns.

    #5 combo, with tater tots.

The absolute best Sunday Afternoon mid-chore burger in Dallas! Great burger, poppy seed bun with a whole slice of onion, great, fresh fries. Great service, they bring the meal to you. Very clean place, real Texas photos on the wall, they keep the restaurant very clean. Very family friendly, plenty of seating and moving tables and chairs around if you really need to is not a big deal.

The neighborhood may continue to change around it, but Chip's remains the same. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Chip's has an old school, nostalgic feel. The restaurant has an iconic sloping roof with a yellow outdoor exterior and a big green sign with its logo. Inside, there are plenty of booths, a bar, and even outdoor seating. Chip's has grown and expanded over the years but to me that adds to the nostalgic charm. 1 Star. Service - Chip's may have invented counter service. Upon entering, you look at the menu posted on the wall and place your order. You'll get a number (or they'll ask for your name), and you grab a table, and when your food is ready it comes out. Fast, efficient, and the staff was super friendly. 1 Star. Food - Chip's is known for its poppy seed hamburger buns. While it's pretty and tasty, the most important part, the patty, is pretty average. Honestly, there are many other great burger joints in Dallas. On the other hand, the fried onion strings are a must order for your side. While I wasn't a fan of the burger, the fried onion strings saved my meal. The Oreo and Fresh Banana shakes were also a nice cold, creamy, sweet ending to my meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I hope Chip's never changes. The restaurant has an iconic look, it's part of Dallas history, and the staff is great. 1 Star.

We ordered the fried mushrooms to start, and they were so hot that one of us severely burned her lower gums on them. Seriously! A prescription from the dentist was sought; mea culpa but damn. Once they were less volcanic, they were good. We split a burger with fried onions, and it was dry. The meat was overbooked, the bun was over toasted, and the whole thing needed plenty of beer to go down smoothly. The fries are fine, and we did appreciate that they had some steamed broccoli on the menu. Our daughter was happy with her kids cheeseburger meal, and she did like the chocolate-caramel malt shake she scored at the end. A main reason that we're landing on three stars is the ice cream situation. One of us ordered a soft serve vanilla, and nobody told her that the machine was down, so what she got instead was a cup of half melted Blue Bell soup...are you kidding! Thanks for the prompt refund, but letting your customer know what the situation is in advance goes a long way. So, we tried it. Add a notch to the Dallas belt. We wish them well, but we won't be returning. There are better burgers in DFW.
