Went in during the middle of the day when it didn't seem too busy. Theres a pretty casual ambiance with the wooden benches, big screen TVs playing World Cup games above the registers, and slightly darker lighting (the bathroom was pretty dark but not in like an unpleasant way and was meant for one person at a time anyways). The service was friendly and somewhat quicker than I was expecting. The burger was really good and actually sold me on adding jalapeños more often. read more

After several disappointing meals nearby, we stumbled upon chop house burger and ordered the Luchador and a side of fries. The food came out quickly and was piping hot, with crispy well seasoned fries. The burger was above average and the whole meal was maybe $14, way less than several places we tried in the area and it packed a lot more flavor. You can order at the counter or from a kiosk at the front and they bring the food to you where you are seated. If I was in the area, I'd go back and try a different burger. read more

We went in very close to closing since our flights were late and man I'm glad that we did! Our group ordered a bit of everything, but the highlight was the milkshakes and fried pickles! The staff were so nice and kind suggesting items and they were so right! If you go here, get the Nutella shake! You won't be disappointed! read more

Best fried pickles I've found. Make sure you get the jalapeño ranch! They have outdoor seating too

Stopped by Chop House Burgers for the first time on a Friday evening around 8:30 PM. Located at the corner of Main Street and Akard, the place was quiet and clean--not sure if that's typical for a Friday night, but it made for a relaxed first impression. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and requested it medium rare. The staff kindly explained that their medium rare tends to come out quite pink, so they recommended medium well instead. I appreciated the transparency and the courteous service. That said, the burger came out fully cooked with no pink at all--more done than I prefer. The flavor was solid, but the doneness took away from the overall experience for me. I also tried the sweet potato fries. They were decent, though I would've liked a bit more crispness. On the flip side, the sweet tea was spot on--refreshing and well-balanced. Overall, I'd give the experience a 7 out of 10. The staff was friendly and helpful, the space was clean and welcoming, and the food was good, though not quite perfect for my taste. I'd consider coming back and trying a different burger or seeing if they can dial in the doneness a bit more precisely. read more

We checked this place out recently for lunch and had a good experience. You can order at a kiosk or with an employee depending on how the line moves. There's seating inside and outside on the patio. We tried the Chop House burger, Hot Chick and the bacon cheeseburger. We also tried the sweet potato fries and the truffle fries. My daughter had the kids grilled cheese with french fries. Everything had great flavor. The burgers tasted fresh and they were juicy. The truffle aioli on the Chop House burger was excellent. We also ordered some on the side to dip our fries into. The truffle fries were the group favorite. There's only one bathroom and the side door to the patio/street is right next to it. We saw several un-housed people occupying the bathroom for a while during our time there. Other than that, we had a good experience. read more

Burgers were good but I don't know about that thing masquerading as a shake. It almost tastes whipped and very light. Definitely not a milk shake. Great service. read more

Chop house. You have my heart. Every week I come and get a wine country burger with goat cheese and it's the best. I sit around and realize I'm eating this food alone and start crying. Whats the only thing that stops the tears? You guessed it, the delicious creamy goat cheese on top of a perfect medium rare patty. I'm a loser but this is the best burger I've ever had. read more

GROSS. I ordered the $10 smash burger lunch combo which came with fries and a drink. I initially thought it to be a good value yet upon receiving and attempting to consume it, my mind was completely CHANGED. The 2 smash patties were small and flavorless, maybe equal to 4 oz of meat total...so disappointing! The bread was huge & thick, unfit for the small meat and mound of veggies dressed atop. The fries were decent yet the place is called chop house burger NOT chop house fries...the service was subpar as well. No one greeted me when I came in, nor did they acknowledge the next guests that followed. The young girl who appeared to be the manager was very short with the next customers who asked simple questions about ordering food on the kiosk screen. She had an earpiece in and yelled to them instructions about ordering and that the drink machines were out, yet they didn't hear her. When they asked her to repeat what are said, she huffed and puffed, removed the earpiece and repeated the instructions brashly. I was disgusted by the food and experience. TRASH! Great sweet potato fries! They can get quite busy during the lunch rush on weekdays. The burger was good and fries were a highlight. This location definitely has a more gourmet feel with a gourmet price to match, but it's a solid burger spot in downtown Dallas. read more

We asked for medium and medium rare burgers and we got well done. The burgers were maybe the worst we have had and we're thinking McDonalds would have been a better stop. Fries were mediocre, but a bit soggy and not crisp. Informed staff about the burgers, no apology or offer to recook them. Terrible food & terrible service. Needless to say, we will not be back! read more

Most things downtown are closed by 8 pm, so stopped by here out of desperation since they were open. Wanted to be a little healthy, so ordered the white truffle Caesar, with a beef patty added, lol. Took the order to go and imagine my disappointment when I opened my bag back at my hotel and found a Cobb salad. It did have the burger patty packed separately. The meat was undercooked and raw in the center. I eat burgers medium rare, but this one was still raw. The place was empty and I was the only customer. No utensils packed to go either. How do you get so much wrong with a single order when there are no other customers? read more

Very easy going place! Have 2 tvs going but music playing but overall it's a chill vibe for a quick bite! The entire staff was extremely friendly and made this a great spur of the moment decision to stop and eat! The food was on point the patties are 4oz I believe but the bacon cheeseburger is awesome 4.7 out of 5! The hot chick punched me in the mouth and didn't finish it 3.9 out of 5! This place is nothing like what it once was. It used to be such a great farm to table experience. Chop House Burger was dry and overcooked despite the truffle mayo, and the fries are no longer fresh hand-cut. They seem to be frozen, thicker fries and despite the truffle Parm treatment, they were dry and gross. Huge disappointment from what used to be my favorite burger and fries in DFW. read more

This was a really good cheese burger; I got the bacon cheeseburger that had jalapeños and grilled onions. I got all the sauces and condiments on the side because I wasn't going to eat the burger immediately and I didn't want it to be soggy. I ate the burger about a hour or so after getting it (it was room temp). That burger was so good, I was halfway through eating it before I realized I didn't have any condiments on it ahah. So I immediately added some mustard and finished it on up. I also got fries. Now, I am not a fan of cold fries. I ate these fries a hour or so after purchasing them, they were room temperature AND THEY WERE STILL GOOD. I was so surprised. SO SURPRISED. Definitely recommend. read more

We had two burger and shared fries. The burgers sound good however have no flavor at all. I meat had no seasoning on it. The fires also lacked flavor. Too many other places in the area to eat. Would not recommend eating here. read more

I loved the sweet workers there! The food was amazing. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger with Guacamole and jalapeños. Visiting Dallas and was looking for something walkable from my hotel (Sheraton). You really can't go wrong with a burger and fries, so I decided to walk over and give it a go. Overall I thought it was a good meal, with a good quality meat/bacon and a brioche bun that was soft and buttery. Fries were just a plain shoestring but were hot and a good serving size! The service was friendly while I looked over the menu. I probably should've grabbed a shake but I didn't want to spoil the dinner activities and it was already kind of late in the afternoon. If I'm in the area I would come by here again! read more

Ordered the Chop House Burger and added Gouda cheese, with fried pickles on the side. Overall it's a good burger. It's overpriced for the quality, but a pretty good price for being downtown. The fried pickles were really good and I loved the sauce that came with it. I'm visiting from Utah and fried pickles are rare and not well done there, so it was nice to have some tasty ones! Service was good and the workers were friendly. My coworker even forgot his wallet and they had it waiting behind the counter when we came back. Street parking will be difficult. read more

Solid burgers top self ingredients, sleeper items like the wings and buttermilk chicken bites. Not to mention the made to order burgers and daily specials. .......BUT.........The service sucks, I would like to blame it on the lunch rush but I've stopped by enough to see clearly they rush to serve who they want and the wait time/service reflects it. WE have so many other burger options downtown to accept the quality of service. Clearly they don't GAF & since they ignored me waiting at the counter. I doubt I'm going back... read more

Stopped in on a Thursday night around 630 and it was pretty empty which surprised me for it being such a nice night in downtown Dallas. I went with the classic burger and loved the truffle sauce. However I ordered medium rare and it was a lot closer to well done.... My daughter and I also enjoyed fried pickles. You order at a counter then find your own table, and your food is brought to you. We stopped by for a quick bite to eat. "The Green burger" was very good! Great vegan option. I could barely finish it because it was thick but the flavors were really good. This burger with the cheese and grilled onions on the super buttery Texas toast was so delicious. Simply made but so complex and cooked just how I ordered. This burger is so good that you wish you had room for a second. They don't put a stack a napkins on the table for nothing as this lovely buttery sandwich will make you either need napkins or be licking those fingers like crazy. I did a little of both. Now for the truffle fries. I loved them. So flavorful and crispy as they are a skinny cut fries. These also are so good you want more even though your so full and by all means get your own and don't share. The place had business guys coming in left and right and we all know most guys know where to get a good burger. This place is the bomb and I definitely would return for another on my next visit to Dallas. read more

The restaurant is a fast casual spot in the heart of downtown Dallas on Main St. When you enter the establishment, it is very open. There are picnic table style tables im the interior and an outside patio to enjoy food. As far as the service, we werent greeted. As we waited for the cashier to finish taking someones order, the lady sitting ontop of the counter told us to use the self checkout kiosk to order instead of waiting. The menu offers al la carte items. I found the beverages to be extremely expensive for the establishment. Once you order, you will get a number and someone will look to find your seat and deliver your order to you once ready. My order did come fast! The truffle fries were a waste of money in my opinion and was extremely cold after 2 minutes. I can tell the freshest ingredients were used for the fries and just have opted for the regular fries instead. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger without jalapenos. The burgers here are not smashburgers so expect a thick patty. it was cooked to my temparature. The burger patty lacked basic seasoning and needed a sauce accompanied with it. I do find this place to be very overrated. The food is mediocre and I was expecting much more from it due to the attention on social media. The food is good but not special, I prefer going to Shake Shack in all honestly where I can spend less money too. read more

Though the restaurant is fast casual, the food is definitely top notch. There is plenty of advertising inside and outside the restaurant about their food sources and the end product definitely reflects the quality of their food. The cookies and cream shake is very creamy with just the right amount of sweetness and a consistency that gets just the right amount of flavor on your tongue without overpowering the senses. The hot chick is excellently executed throughout with a tender and crispy piece of buttermilk fried chicken with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. It's a bit large to eat in one bite, but somehow you get the right mix of buffalo and blue cheese sauce with each bite. The chop house burger is a very unassuming, but well constructed burger. The key here is really in the quality of the beef in the burger combined with excellent execution on the cooking to get just the right level of juiciness. I liked the milder white truffle sauce as it didn't distract from the enjoyment of the meat. The sweet potato fries were also prepared well with a good mix of soft and crispy elements and a good firmness. Overall, great value considering how good the food is here. I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Dallas. read more

Not usually one that likes tight seating situations but luckily it wasn't to busy during my visit. The staff was helpful when placing our orders and throughout our dinning. I was looking for a veggie burger but completely satisfied with the falafel burger I ordered. The food was good and satisfied our cravings for a burger and fries. My only complaint is that after a visit to the bathroom I realized there was no soap. Great location in downtown Dallas. The service was quick the wait for a salad was a bit longer than for a burger, I got the Cobb salad added a meat patty to it cost and a Fiji water for $21.65 get a burger instead It's cheaper. Salad was ok location is good patty didn't have much flavor the bowl it's served on sucks because it moves around when you try mixing it all up. Nice place with small patio seating outside. Service was friendly. I got the Chop House burger which comes with a yummy truffle sauce. They cook the meat to your liking. I did mine medium well and they got it right. Wifey got the Ricky Bobby "melt" and said it was really good but would substitute Texas Toast for Burger Bun next time if allowed. Another person got the "Green" New Deal which is a vegetarian option with a falafel patty.
