I had gotten a number 5 special, a grilled cheese and tater tot's with cheese for a quick snack, everything was delicious and came out fast, the service was awesome, definitely coming back many times after this!!

Was in the area and saw this place had good reviews so I stopped by for the usual combo - burger, fries and shake. I was greeted within a few minutes and the waitress was very accommodating, no complaints there. The retro vibe was a nice touch as well. The interesting thing with this place is that the food is pretty mediocre while being extremely cheap. You can get a whole meal for less than $10 so I'd say there is good value here. But prices aside, I'd rather have a burger from a fast food joint. The quality just wasn't there for me. If you want extra bang for your buck, this is the place! Just don't expect anything fancy!

Apparently this was the first drive in burger restaurant! You stay in your car when you drive up, and a staff member comes up to you to take your order (pretty quickly). You aren't allowed to bring lawn chairs, but you can sit in your trunk to eat if you don't want to sit in the car. I was surprised to see that the prices are still quite cheap, $5 ish for one burger. The burger was quite large and filling and the fries and tots were very crispy. FYI- you can sub your raw onions for grilled onions for free. I would come again!

Keller's delivers a classic drive-in experience that's hard to find these days. Covered parking keeps your car shaded, and the staff is attentive to every vehicle that pulls up. As soon as I parked, a server came right over to take my order, and just a few minutes later, she returned with my cheeseburger and fries, friendly service all around. I ordered my cheeseburger "all the way" with grilled onions. While the burger was just average and the fries were decent (smaller portion size which is what I was hoping for), the price point is excellent, and the nostalgic drive-in experience more than makes up for it. Being able to order a beer right to your car is pretty awesome and adds to the fun vibe. Definitely worth a visit for the classic experience!

I really wanted to like Keller's, especially with all the nostalgia and hype surrounding it -- but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The burger was the biggest disappointment. The patty was so thin it barely registered as meat, and what little I could taste had absolutely no flavor. It was dry, bland, and felt more like a topping than the main part of the burger. The bun was basic and didn't do anything to elevate the experience, and the cheese (if you can call it that) added nothing but an oily texture. I expected something classic and crave-worthy, but it just felt like a cafeteria burger that somehow cost more than it should have. For all the talk about Keller's being "cheap and old-school," I was surprised that it wasn't even that affordable. Whataburger, which is often brushed off as "fast food," is actually way better -- more flavor, more substance, and at least you know what you're getting. The atmosphere felt outdated, but not in a charming or retro way -- just run-down. Maybe it's a place people love for sentimental reasons, but if you're going for the food alone, it's not worth the trip. I wouldn't go back. There are way better burger spots in DFW.

Love it!! It's the retro Sonic-meets-Cars(the movie) for adults! You pull into one of the parking spots, and the waiter comes to you to your car and order!! Amazing concept. Fast service even with many cars in the parking lot. First time here and it was a relaxed experience, food was filling. Did the double meat* burger with fries and lemonade. Would come back for a comfort, American meal!

Retro drive thru burger joint. Cheap, chill, & yummy! A great classic burger but I wish there was some seasoning on the sides

One of the best burgers in DFW! Everything is made to order and comes out hot/fresh. It also has a nostalgic feel with an old school drive up system. It's always a 10/10 whenever we come with the friendliest staff! Definitely a must try in the Dallas area!! Bonus points for being affordable as well :)

SUCH. A. GREAT. PLACE. I've been visiting Keller's for a long time-- it's just a staple in Dallas. The burgers are so good (& reasonably priced-they're pretty cheap in my opinion) served on a poppyseed bun (the best way) & the service from the waitresses is always great & they are always so so nice. The spot is such a vibe-- even though you're sitting in your car, the place has such an old school vibe it's great. I have a Miata & they have little Miata meets every Wednesday night which is a plus! Might wanna check if you have an old school vintage car-- they might have meet ups there! Great place. I always come back.

Keller's is iconic in Dallas since it is one of the oldest drive in restaurants around. They have been around forever and are still pretty popular today. You just park at an empty spot under the shade, flash blinkers for service or whenever you're ready to order, and someone will come out to take your order. I got the #5 special which has double meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and special dressing. I also added grilled onions be for a side of tater tots with cheese. The burger itself was just ok to me. The special sauce is good and the burger was juicy, but the meat itself was a bit bland to me. I also tried their lemonade and it was a bit diluted. This place is probably the cheapest burger spot I've been to but I don't think it's worth the drive for me

I ordered the "best" burger with two extra patties and it was delicious. The fries and tater tots were fresh and crispy. The corn dog was decent. The customer service was excellent, the bathroom was spotless, and there was plenty of parking available.

No. They can make a veggie burger with just veggies (no meat)

Can I order ahead by calling?

No ! You need to be there. For us, almost took two hours to wait, order, wait and eat.

I do not have a car and want to visit. Is there any indoor seating? Can I get a burger to go?

There is no where to sit inside.

    Do they serve regular buns?

Yes you can ask for bums without poppy seeds. See the picture I posted of the menu board today

Nope, they only serve meat burgers.

This unassuming restaurant tucked in a corner of nondescript row of stores has stood the test of time. My first review of the place was in 2013. Here it is 13 years later then it is still going strong. I went for lunch with the family on a snow day. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. No numbers, they just remember who you are. I always get combo number 1 and add sweet potato fries. The prices are great and not much more than McDonalds but the difference in value is significant. The burgers are not thick but this time I noticed the double burger (#2) is just a couple of bucks more than the the single patty in #1. Note to self for next time. Although the patty is thin, the flavors work. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard. No ketchup, you add that yourself. The bun with sesame seeds always comes out piping hot. Sweet potato fries are crispy and not greasy. The combo comes with a drink for $10.99. That's a deal. I hope they stay in business another 13 years!

The neighborhood may continue to change around it, but Chip's remains the same. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Chip's has an old school, nostalgic feel. The restaurant has an iconic sloping roof with a yellow outdoor exterior and a big green sign with its logo. Inside, there are plenty of booths, a bar, and even outdoor seating. Chip's has grown and expanded over the years but to me that adds to the nostalgic charm. 1 Star. Service - Chip's may have invented counter service. Upon entering, you look at the menu posted on the wall and place your order. You'll get a number (or they'll ask for your name), and you grab a table, and when your food is ready it comes out. Fast, efficient, and the staff was super friendly. 1 Star. Food - Chip's is known for its poppy seed hamburger buns. While it's pretty and tasty, the most important part, the patty, is pretty average. Honestly, there are many other great burger joints in Dallas. On the other hand, the fried onion strings are a must order for your side. While I wasn't a fan of the burger, the fried onion strings saved my meal. The Oreo and Fresh Banana shakes were also a nice cold, creamy, sweet ending to my meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I hope Chip's never changes.
