Burgers here are so delicious and they have a great variety of appetizers and drinks as well. We had the Shmargatita and it was refreshing! I also had the Pasadena burger and it was so fresh and had great flavor. My husband had the Schmuger and loved it as well. Service here was top notch, super friendly staff. Loved also the decor inside, since it's so different from other burger places. It was also very clean. Can't wait to come back!

BEST SMASH BURGER in Dallas! The hype is real the consistency is even better! This place also has some bomb stuff other than just the burgers which I was surprised! Service has been great everytime. Servers are kind and attentive and were always checking on us! This place is a special one and the owner DAVE I can't say enough great things about him. One of the most humble guys I ever met and is truly passionate about what he does and he is having a great time doing it! Ambiance is awesome. It's an old school retro type of feel. I believe it was mimicked after parts of his grandmothers house. I could be wrong but just ask him he's is such a cool guy! Anyways this is the spot to get a Bomb burger!

I have been a fan of Burger Schmurger before there was a brick and mortar business. The burgers are so delicous. They have so much flaovr and really are teh best in town. We drove all the way from prosper to lakewood and the food was amazing. Be prepared for a bit of a wait on the weekends but it moves quickly. And a must try is the fried mozzarella! It was so cheesy and really good.

This is a darn fine smashburger! So many places say they have them but they just don't have the crispy crunch bits that make a real smashburger a delight. They certainly do here! When we arrived we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was great and incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and very inviting. In addition to the burger we had the fried pickles which are prepared on site and are very tasty. Great spot for your burger fix!

Finally got to try Burger Schmurger, and it definitely lives up to the hype in terms of popularity. The place was packed when we went on a Tuesday night, and we ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a table, so come prepared to wait during peak hours. Food: - Maverick (8/10): The inverted toasted bun was a unique and fun twist that immediately stood out. The smoked bacon jam added a really nice depth of flavor and complemented the burger well. Overall, a very solid burger. - Schmurger (7/10): This is your classic, no-frills smashburger. Simple, clean, and executed well.. but nothing particularly memorable or over-the-top. - Schmurger Fries (8/10): These loaded fries were a pleasant surprise. The fries on their own were a bit salty, but the lemon dill ranch helped balance everything out and tied the dish together nicely. We would definitely come back. Overall, I'd give Burger Schmurger an 8/10. The burgers were well-made and flavorful, and the menu keeps things focused. My only real downside was the portion size, the burgers felt a bit small for the price. At around $12 per burger, I expected something slightly more substantial. That said, given the current economy, it seems like smaller portions are becoming the norm.

Oh My, Love at First Bite, This place was a home run for me! I loved the vibe when I walked in. It was energetic and unpretentious. It had a retro feel to the place, even down to the window curtains. Most of all though, I liked the neighborhood feel to the place. The service was good and friendly. Our server was also helpful, and that was much appreciated on our first-time experience here. I loved the food! I have ordered smash burgers at other places and this place made me realize how poorly executed the cooking technique had been at the other places I have ordered them. This one was perfectly crisped on the edges. The "meat-lace" as they call it was delightful. We also ordered Pretzel Bites. They were served fresh and hot along with Beer Cheese and Spicy Brown Mustard. Along with the burger, I would get them again too!

Was so excited to eat burger schmurger and the burger was good and the fries but everything felt overpriced for what it actually was. The burger sauce was more chiptole than I expected and the fries are overpriced for being shareable. I think there are better smash burgers in Dallas elsewhere but the vibes and atmosphere and service was great.

First time here, looks like they have a ton of beer and burger specials. I like that they have different French fry and onion string options, I tried two of them and built my own cheeseburger plain. Overall really good tasting, I like the strings better than the fries. At least worth coming in if you are in the area.

Fried dill pickles - Puddles of grease from being fried at improper temperature.

Wow this place is so overrated. I can prove that the cooks and servers could care less about the food and drink quality. First we ordered a Coke and a root beer. They don't serve Coke products but something else. They were both flat. The employees never have a soda during the day and say "hey let's fix this, the sodas have no carbonation?" Apparently it's all good to them. We ordered fried pickles. While I give them props for making from scratch instead of out of the Sysco bag, these things are so poorly prepared and greasy - see my photo with puddles of grease. Properly fried foods at the correct temperature are not greasy. You can't tell me that a restaurant doesn't know this. Again the cooks and servers have eyes and think puddles of grease are good to go. We ordered 2 burgers. One with Swiss, mushrooms and bacon and one with blue cheese. American cheese, bacon and onion strings. There are two 2 oz patties per burger so the toppings overwhelm any burger meat. I truly believe that people who are responding that it's the best burger are just experiencing the flavor of the toppings because you cannot taste the burger meat at all. My burger had blue cheese and American cheese which were both melted entirely off the burger leaving a faint white haze. I could not taste either. So the cook thought "yeah I'm proud of that." All I could taste was the bacon which was good and the fistful of onion strings. Also the burgers are thoughtlessly prepared. There is no care putting them together. Just slap that stuff on the bun - I guess it's charming and looks homemade? I also ordered 6 buffalo wings. OMG the worst wings I've ever had! I think the meat was freezer burned but hey in they go into the fryer and served with carrots and celery. The celery was very stringy. Now you might think I'm being overly picky but hear me out. Somebody in the kitchen had to use a vegetable peeler on the carrots and guess what - it's super easy to use the peeler on the celery but I guess that would take a little pride and care in preparation. Bottom line $50 wasted on poorly and carelessly prepared food is never a repeat for us. I would go so far to say "Burger Schmuger, shame on you for pulling one over on the rubes." But it's very typical Dallas isn't it?

ambiance was good service was ojay not not most bubbly personnel burger was good i got the claremont burger hood tasting though i am not much into smash burgers but tasty. the fries however not impressed nice taste but uhh salty beer was good pricing is very tricky apparently fries are not part of burger they are an extra 5.00 so my burger went from 12.00 to 20.00 since i ask extra patty 3.00 more well as they say chalk this place to experience

Burger Schmurger is hands down the best smash burger in DFW. The staff is always the BEST, the burgers are the BEST, the poutine is the BEST, the fried pickles are the BEST! Be prepared to wait a little bit, especially during busier times. It's worth it!

On a recent trip to Dallas, I stumbled upon Burger Schmurger and had one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Juicy, insanely flavorful, with butter-toasted buns that make all the difference. The onion strings and variety of sauces elevate the entire experience. OMG--this place is a must.

There is some confusion on Yelp about this place. There is a random location marked "closed" that never actually existed, so ignore that nonsense and come here. We rolled in around noon on a Tuesday and the place was only about one third full. Our waiter Joe deserves a medal. He was enthusiastic, knew the menu inside and out, and talked up the specials like a pro. Bonus points for energy, Joe. I had high hopes for the mozzarella sticks. They came out as melty cheese triangles, which I fully support. Sadly, the breading was too thick for my liking. The flavor was good, and I appreciated the dill ranch and warm marinara. For our shared entrée, we went with the blue cheese and bacon burger. Rookie mistake. The blue cheese was delicious but completely dominated the whole burger. This was on us. Next time I am sticking to a no-frills cheeseburger so I can judge the actual beef. Oh, and a heads up, burgers here are doubles by default. Don't be the fool who pays to "add" a patty you already get. The beef tallow fries were decent, but they could have been hotter, and they had an unnecessary seasoning salt on them... Just give me the beefy fry glory straight up next time please. And there is a bit of misogyny going on with the bathrooms that I really didn't enjoy - Dudes and Dudettes. How about Cowgirl and "not cowgirl"? or gals and galettes?

When can I go when there is not 500 people in there? Always seems like is too busy and I bail out.

Try Saturday between 3pm and 5.pm. I was just there this past Saturday. No wait, became almost empty at around 4:30pm. Good luck!

This unassuming restaurant tucked in a corner of nondescript row of stores has stood the test of time. My first review of the place was in 2013. Here it is 13 years later then it is still going strong. I went for lunch with the family on a snow day. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. No numbers, they just remember who you are. I always get combo number 1 and add sweet potato fries. The prices are great and not much more than McDonalds but the difference in value is significant. The burgers are not thick but this time I noticed the double burger (#2) is just a couple of bucks more than the the single patty in #1. Note to self for next time. Although the patty is thin, the flavors work. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard. No ketchup, you add that yourself. The bun with sesame seeds always comes out piping hot. Sweet potato fries are crispy and not greasy. The combo comes with a drink for $10.99. That's a deal. I hope they stay in business another 13 years!

The neighborhood may continue to change around it, but Chip's remains the same. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Chip's has an old school, nostalgic feel. The restaurant has an iconic sloping roof with a yellow outdoor exterior and a big green sign with its logo. Inside, there are plenty of booths, a bar, and even outdoor seating. Chip's has grown and expanded over the years but to me that adds to the nostalgic charm. 1 Star. Service - Chip's may have invented counter service. Upon entering, you look at the menu posted on the wall and place your order. You'll get a number (or they'll ask for your name), and you grab a table, and when your food is ready it comes out. Fast, efficient, and the staff was super friendly. 1 Star. Food - Chip's is known for its poppy seed hamburger buns. While it's pretty and tasty, the most important part, the patty, is pretty average. Honestly, there are many other great burger joints in Dallas. On the other hand, the fried onion strings are a must order for your side. While I wasn't a fan of the burger, the fried onion strings saved my meal. The Oreo and Fresh Banana shakes were also a nice cold, creamy, sweet ending to my meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I hope Chip's never changes.
