Overhyped and Disappointing - Not Even Close to "World's Best" I tried Bad Chicken on Ross Ave because they claim to have the world's best (or at least Dallas's best) Chicken Caesar Wrap. It wasn't even close. I wouldn't call it the best in Dallas, and honestly, it barely qualifies as a proper Chicken Caesar Wrap. What arrived was more like a chicken lettuce wrap with some Parmesan cheese dusted on the outside of the tortilla. There was hardly any creamy Caesar dressing, no good flavor balance, and it felt skimpy on the classic elements. The chicken was okay but nothing special. I also got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap for comparison. The chicken had buffalo sauce, but it lacked real taste, just wet and saucy with plain romaine. Nothing impressive or memorable. The service made it worse. The person taking my order was rude and totally disengaged. She took a personal phone call right then, tucked her phone into her bra strap, and kept talking on speaker while dealing with me. It was awkward and unprofessional. Nothing about the food or experience makes me want to return. They push the "best" hype hard (probably why lines are long), but it's nowhere near that level. Mine was loaded with fried chicken bites and bacon--a meat lover's dream--but if you're looking for a more balanced Caesar wrap with a higher lettuce-to-meat ratio, this isn't it. This was also the only warm Caesar wrap I've ever had. Most Caesar wraps I've tried are served cold, which is more in line with the standard. Have come here several times now and can definitely say this place is worth a trip if you're ever in the area! They have a good amount of options to pick from, especially being a hot chicken joint. I feel like a lot of places that sell Nashville type hot chicken often have a limited menu, but this place is definitely different. Recently, I got their smash burger fries, which were definitely worth the wait and tasted just like the renown smash burger that's being served individually at participating restaurants like this one. The staff is friendly and eccentric too. The ambiance is great as well. I've actually been coming here some to watch the stars play lately. GO STARS!! My only complaint really would be the wait, because when there is one, you're definitely going to be waiting for sometime. 4 all day. We got the chicken wrap and the classic sandwich. Both were fire. The seasoning and breading on the chicken was so well done and had a flavorful crunch. The wrap had a nice tangy dressing and a hefty amount of filling. I do wish the bacon and croutons were more fresh you could tell they weren't made to order but they were still delicious. The sandwich had nice fresh veggies a decent amount of mayo and an amazing brioche bun to hold it all together. Only change I'd make would be more veggies. What keeps this place from a 5 is the cleanliness and AC. All the tables were dirty, the bathrooms were out of order, the floor is sticky and covered with crumbs, and the AC was on its last leg. Was the chicken bad? Nope, I liked it. But the customer service was horrible. Pros: Wide selection of wing flavors. I personally tried the buffalo lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan. Prices are a little higher than other wing places but the size of the wings are much bigger so the value matches the price. Cons: The drive through person asked me to wait twice before ordering. Though she was very cordial and apologetic it was just annoying. She said one of those time she had to take food out to people. So I assumed she was there by herself. As I finally was able to make it through the long wait in the drive through there at least 5 staff members in the background standing around looking. If you know there is a wait to make food please just have people pull forward and off to the side. My total wait time was about 30 minutes. Also, when asked to pull to the side I opted to come inside because I was tired of idling my car. Inside other patrons also complained of the wait and not getting their food. The Mac and cheese is horrible. It looks like they make it with green chilli queso and though it wasn't bad it wasn't what I asked for. Nor does the menu say that's what it was and the picture doesn't indicate that either on the menu. So I was surprised when I saw big green chunks in my cup. The curly fries are meh. Overcooked and no seasoning. I've come here a number of times. This place has its pros and cons. I personally have enjoyed the chicken caesar wrap each time. The queso and chips have always been a staple that I get and honestly, it's a hit or miss as sometimes it's been really good, other times the chips have been stale a couple times and once the queso had huge chunks of jalapenos in it like someone just hurried to roughly chop them up. It definitely wasn't consistent with the other many times I have had the queso. Today the queso texture is better but again the chips are stale. Also the wait time is aggravating at times. The people in the drive-through were actually Avenue, which made it very difficult to even get into the lot. It probably would have been more palatable if they could've gotten us some cocktails to sip on while we waited, but that was a long wait as well. Wanted to try a place called Bad Chicken, but the name fits because the service was trash. Walked in and wasn't greeted at all. Tables were dirty and sticky, and when we got to the counter, Katherine just stared at us like we were invisible until we started ordering. Straight nasty attitude like she hated her job and took it out on customers. We asked for ranch and she didn't even add it. I don't mind paying extra, but get the damn order right. Had to get back in line, and then she goes to the back to make vodka drinks for someone else and never brings the ranch just leaves me standing there looking stupid. No apology, no explanation, nothing. If you hate your job that much, quit or get fired because that behavior is unacceptable. The place itself was disgusting.
