PLS BEWARE A HUGE GRISTLE IN the burrito - glad I ate it in the restaurant. Called for the manager. I felt like I was talking to a newbie, no accountability he said it's part of the process some gristle gets through. Picture the palm of your hand and about an inch thick. Can't tell me the chef or whomever packed the burrito didn't feel this. Manager needs more tutoring because I can't believe his skills are who to par. Eduardo. Really wanted to try a healthy and fresh option near the convention center, so I chose this over McDonald's. I ordered this when I was starving and the first few bites, I didn't notice, but after I wasn't starving anymore, I noticed how poorly the meat was cooked. It was overcooked so bad that I had to pull some pieces out of my mouth because I couldn't chew and swallow them, there was oil dripping down into the tray from the burrito. The fries taste like they come out of the freezer. I ate the whole burrito and I don't feel too great, big regrets. I don't get how this place has such good reviews. It's is located downtown and easy to find. The have street parking right out front and parking lot to the side. It can be busy some nights but patience is required but not a long wait. All of their meats are cooked on the spit and you can watch them slicing and dicing and preparing your tacos which are amazing! I forgot to take pics but trust me as it is delish! I loved getting to try out the Tex Mex at this spot! I started out with the guac and chips which came with a very generous portion of chips. They included some salsa along with their guac. I was getting full before the rest of the meal! I had their 5 taco plate and tried a variety of the tacos they had on their menu. I loved getting to sample their different proteins and options here. The only thing I'd change is that the tacos were single tortilla instead of double like some street taco places, which made it easy for some of the filling to slide off. read more

Great spot. Walked here from the hotel and they had an actual trompo spinning (always a good sign). The prices are fair and the ambience is nice. I appreciate the windows into the cooking area as I enjoy seeing the process. The staff is helpful and friendly. Ordered Al Pastor (of course) and they did not disappoint. They offered two salsa - one mild (green) and one hot (orange). Both were tasty and as spicy as advertised. I'll be up front about my personal bias here - tacos Al pastor tacos are my favorite thing. Most tender meat I've had in a taco! I got their 3 taco plate with Barbacoa and Al Pastor and both were very tender. It comes with a good amount of onion and lime which I like and both their ranch sauce and salad verde are super tasty. Good amount of rice and beans. Craving tacos, I didn't feel like driving somewhere so Doordash was my option. I decided on the 3 taco plate with the carnitas, steak, and barbacoa options. Also did a pair of lengua tacos and a breakfast chorizo/egg taco. The delivery kept getting pushed back until around the 45 minute mark when the bag was delivered to the front desk. Digging in, the barbacoa and lengua were my favorite. The carnitas and steak were dry so the verde salsa and lime squeeze went to the rescue and lifted it up. The verde salsa has a kick and compliments the tacos well. As for the breakfast taco, that never arrived as the restaurant doesn't serve those after breakfast hours. They probably should make that clear on the app when ordering. The rice and beans that came with the order were alright. The rice was ok, the beans had some flavor but very runny. I mixed both together to eat since they were mid on their own; much better when mixed. This seems to be a convenient and easy option when in a quick need of tacos. Hopefully next time I'll get to try the breakfast tacos. But I'll probably venture elsewhere for tacos unless I'm in a pinch. read more

Apparently, one driver stole my food, so every other driver was told there was no order to pick up. By ordering through the restaurant website, I couldn't dispute this with Uber Eats, since my account didn't reflect an order. However, the restaurant staff was VERY NICE in helping to issue a refund. I recommend the staff, not the delivery aspect. 2 hours later, and I wound up going to get a new order myself... even though I was feeling sick, which defeated the purpose of the delivery in the first place. The elote came in a bowl that was too small and when I mixed it up corn went all over the table. There was a lot of water on the bottom too. There didn't seem to be enough cream for as much corn as I was given. The corn screamed for salt. The hot sauce used on the corn was good and seemed to be throughout the corn. The tacos were good. I had a steak and a al pastor. Both needed some salt, and I really wish that the pastor had some pineapple on it. Overall the tacos weren't that bad. There are a lot of taco places in the metroplex. Restaurant is pretty large for a downtown spot. You can see the cooks making your tacos through a glass window. When we were there, there was what seemed to be a larger crowd of homeless around the area, but the restaurant made sure patrons felt safe inside and kept the premises clean. Food came out quickly. Veggie quesadilla got a little messy with all the veggies and melted cheese, but was still good.
