I'd seen this place advertised on Facebook and it came across as highly recommended. We arrived about 10 minutes early, and if we hadn't had both the address and name of the restaurant, we might have missed it entirely. We were their first customers, and were greated very warmly when we walked in. The restaurant itself is not very big, with just enough lighting and a large screen TV placed just behind the front windows. They have a very large and easily readable menu board above the back wall, with an "L" shaped countertop that's part bar and part ordering/cash register. We tried three types of their tacos, Fajita, Pollo and Fish. All three tasted outstanding, with portions so large you can easily use the second corn tortilla shell to split the toppings into two. The guacamole didn't taste seasoned. Just as if you took the avocado and smashed it. The food is a bit expensive if you ask me. You order at the counter first and then they bring the food to you. The fajita taco was amazing and after adding the salsa verde, it was soo delicious had a lot of flavor to it! I ended up ordering another one because it was so tasty. The food is always good here. Pastor taco is my favorite. Can't really go wrong with anything here. Especially the drinks. 3 stars for the service. The other times I've been here the service was fantastic. We asked for cups of water and they said that they don't do that here. They said we would have to buy bottles of water if we wanted it. The last few times we've been here we got cups of water no problem. The staff just wasn't that friendly this time. Came here on a random night with a group of friends. It was an amazing night - the drinks are so insta-worthy! I cannot remember for the life of me what the drink I ordered is called but you can pretty much order any specialty cocktail here and expect a really cute presentation. One thing that has stuck with me since that first visit is the beef quesadillas. Something about the cheese to grease ratio just resonated with me and has lived in my mind rent free ever since. Stumbled on this place by happenstance. We were in the area and were looking for something to eat. Saw that they had good ratings so we decided to give 'em a try. Was not disappointed! Food was delicious and service was great. We ordered a variety of tacos but, I was really impressed by the tripa tacos. You chose the degree of cooking; soft, medium, or crispy. I chose crispy and they were delicious. Salsas were very good. Very good variety on the menu. It was a little small but nicely decorated. Might want to get your food to go if you go during peak hours. It is a little pricey and the tacos are small( 2 biters) but definitely recommend them if you are looking for a delicious taco. read more

An elevated taqueria that feels more like flash than substance from the hit and miss items I tried. One of my biggest complaints is how expensive these tacos are. I understand the presentation is more sophisticated and this is not a hole in the wall, but they are quite proud of their products based on their prices. My total ended up being over 50 dollars, which is double what youd pay at any other taqueria. And what they are serving doesn't match the price. Texas Taco was the closest thing you could get to a gringo taco but it was also quite tasty! I probably should have ordered this with a flour tortilla, but it was still good was corn. I ordered crèma on top and made it even more delicious and creamy. The lengua taco was ok, but they could have cooked this meat longer. Ive also never seen lengua served like a single fillet cut. Biting into this. It wasn't super tender and did require some tearing apart so you didn't have the while piece of lengua in your mouth. The flavor though was beefy enough to where it was still a decent experience. The campechano taco barely had any flavor. I wasn't even sure what I was eating till I looked closer. The longaniza had a little more flavor than the campechano, but not by much. The Chips and guac are satisfying. The chips themselves seem to be fried fresh. Based on their color and texture, they could be fried a little bit longer in my opinion. Definitely salt these to taste, which I prefer anyways, since I can control the salt level. Horchata was good, but it also wasn't anything amazing. If anything, there was a balanced feeling to all the ingredients in this one. They premake the horchata and store them in cups in the fridge. I wonder if someone else makes the horchata in the back? Perhaps, but that also seems impractical to have someone deliver horchata? The tres leche is one big slice that's also precut and stored in the fridge. This makes a little more sense as tres leche has to be stored cold. This may look dry, but its actually quite moist. This may have also been the sturdiest piece of tres leche cake I have encountered. I could have ate this thing while off roading and not spilt a crumble. By no means is this a complaint, but rather an amusing observation. Flavor wise, its strongest flavor is milk and vanilla. I like that its not overwhelmingly sweet, but I also couldn't help feeling this could have had more flavor. I feel some cinnamon, fruit, or even some drizzled dulce de leche would have kicked it up a notch. Sugar wise, this is not cloying or over the top, so it a much lighter dessert than expected. I wouldn't race back over here, but if Im in the area, or I have friends that insist on coming here, then this place is alright. read more

The pastor was really dry so I don't know if it was old or they had leftovers which they used in our tacos. They only had 2 salsa choices-roja and tomatillo. They were both ok. Sadly this was the better of the 2 places we had Mexican/Tex mex food. I also ordered a flan and it was def was not flan. More like a cake? I'm not sure what it was, but wasn't flan. We are originally from Houston and visited Dallas for a day. Based on a TikTok review, my family and I decided to dine at El Come Taco. The establishment appeared pleasant and welcoming. However, the tortillas were a letdown, as each taco was served with two tortillas, one of which was undercooked. I brought this to the attention of the cashier, who responded that this was their standard practice. Furthermore, the meat serving size was small considering the cost of each taco. This is by far one of the best not only in Dallas, but anywhere in the Southwest in my opinion. It is a quaint location that is family owned and operated, and the taco style is central Mexican, so it is more traditional. Very friendly and accommodating. All the meats are fantastic. I highly recommend the brisket, however the chicken and beef are great as well. They are served on very good corn tortillas with cilantro, onion, and lime. All of their salsas are fresh with no preservatives. They also have a small bar with Mexican liquors and beers. I definitely understand why people would love to come here and drink and eat because the setting is very nice. Not all taco places sell drinks so that's a plus. Once again, I find myself in the city of Dallas, with my middle daughter in tow, visiting my mom who has lived here for 15 years. When in Texas, I have to eat tacos and there are so many places it can be a bit dizzying but I didn't want "the usual" so I did a search and found this good spot. We ordered the street tacos...chicken, pork and brisket. Delicious. The margs were good too! I usually only take mine on the rocks but I sort of liked my mom's frozen one a bit better. The guacamole was creamy and didn't need salt (yay!). The churros were delicious! The place is small but a fun place to eat a meal. The soccer game was on the big screen TV and there was cheering. I thought it added to the festive atmosphere, my mom thought it was too loud but I'm one to go for festive over quiet. Really good food, friendly service and delicious tacos. From a San Diegan: The tilapia ceviche was more like pico de gallo with avocado and a few small pieces of fish - and possibly no salt. Not much of anything, certainly not for $10. The fish taco was good! The fish was fried nicely, maybe even a little too fried. But it was simple, just the way I like it. Marinada was tasty, I liked the added potato, and I enjoyed the mixed brisket and chorizo street taco as well. The corn tortillas were delicious. The Jamaica was stored in styrofoam cups in a fridge, which is fine. But because it wasn't kept in a frequently moving space, there was a bunch of gritty sediment at the bottom. Plus I had to ask for ice to make it cold. Overall, it took out my craving for the kind of Mexican food that I want and miss from San Diego, but it wasn't up to par.
