The food does take a moment to come out, but I don't mind the wait. It takes time for freshness. Our first time trying banh xeo and it was crispy and huge and delicious. The com ga goi is a staple everytime I visit.

Arrived at 6pm on opening week (Thursday) and expected a long wait, but we were surprisingly the 3rd table to be sat. Their menu is HUGE. Way more options than I was expecting. We ordered the chicken rice with dark meat (CG3), vermicelli bamboo shoot noodle (B1), udon noodle soup (BC1) and chicken rice with cabbage salad (CG6). The food literally came out in under 10 minutes! It was fresh, hot and delicious! Their chicken was super tender and juicy. I loved dipping it in their fish sauce with the pickle peppers. The only minor con was they let us order the bamboo shoot noodles and then brought it out and said they ran out of bamboo, which defeats the purpose of that dish, but they just opened so no big deal. Highly recommend going for early dinner because by 6:45pm the restaurant was completely packed and they were getting slammed with phone orders too. Overall loved their fast service & delicious chicken. We would definitely dine here again and try their other specialty dishes next!

Food and service are good. The restaurant is clean. They are known for their chicken and banh xeo which I will try next.

Vietnamese chicken & rice is the ultimate comfort dish. It's very simple but if done well is a perfect balance of comfort and flavor. My husband and I would make trips to Houston just for com ga. I would pick up shifts in the Arlington area just to have an excuse to order takeout from the Arlington location. I am super ecstatic that Com Ga Houston is now in Garland. The chicken is tender and moist and the rice cooked just right. I'm telling y'all, it doesn't like much if you're not Vietnamese but chicken & rice is just a satisfying and wholesome meal and they do it well here. Even the broth that came on the side was a 5/5.

I was craving Vietnamese chicken rice and Com Ga really delivered! The restaurant had a very clean, simple aesthetic. We were a party of 10 who came in on a Sunday a little before the lunch rush and were quickly seated and served. There were plenty of options to choose from. I went with the classic com ga and shared the goi ga bap cai and goi ga bap chuoi with the rest of my table. The rice was flavorful and complemented the chicken and sides very well. It also came with a side of clear broth which tasted very clean. The fish sauce that came with every order was a good balance of sweet, sour, and salty and great to dip the chicken in. The portion sizes were huge so come extra hungry or be prepared to bring home leftovers. Overall I would definitely recommend Com Ga if you are in the area!

The options are limited to dishes with predominantly chicken, however, what they do offer is done well. Everything was very delishes and flavorful. Very basic and natural ingredients, at least taste wise. Comparable to home cooked meals on a Sunday, or even better depending on your home cook, ha. Once they drop off your food and get your order that's about all you'll see from the servers, so order whatever you want up front. Pay at the counter. Out of the way for me to come here, but I will absolutely come back and I highly recommend if you like Vietnamese. Also, there is plenty of parking lot as this is in a shopping center.

Tried out a new Vietnamese restaurant called Com Ga Houston but located in Garland. All they serve are chicken dishes. This is Mi Ga Thit Den (Dark Meat Chicken Egg Noddle Soup). I thought it was good. Not the best I've ever had but still good. The place is new and packed. Service was very slow though.

Amazing new spot! The com ga was delicious, and the fish sauce had the perfect flavor balance. Portions were generous, and the prices were very fair for the quality and amount of food. The place was clean. My second time here. It gets pretty packed since they opened, but the wait is worth it! Definitely recommending this place to everyone, especially việt people.

Ordered chicken rice soup to go. For the price, they give just a few pieces of thin chicken strips. The rice soup is awful!

After carefully studying the menu, I went with the Three Delight Dry Beef Noodle and M went with Pork Chop Noodle. We had no idea what to expect for the noodle portion of the Pork Chop Noodle but we were really excited to try the pork chop so we went with it. Other reviewers are correct that it takes a while to get the food. We patiently waited for our number as the number increased slowly. Finally, our number was called. To our pleasant surprise, the Pork Chop Noodle came with a noodle soup in addition to the fried pork chop. The noodle soup was ok. The broth was pretty simple and a tad bland (easy to doctor up), but a nice companion to the pork chop. The pork chop was my single favorite item of the meal. Really great flavor and so crispy! Lastly, my dry noodle. The beef was so tender and the tendons so melt-in-your-mouth silky. The tripe? (I think that's what the meat was on the bottom of the photo) was just ok and normally I love tripe. The overall flavor was pretty good, although I thought it was made superior by adding some chili oil and soy sauce. It was also a LOT of noodles. Omg let's talk about the noodles. The noodles that were in my dry beef noodle were so good. Think and chewy in the best way. Keep in mind that the noodle soup that came in the pork chop noodle was a different, thinner kind. I have to come back and try the beef stew noodle soup because I think that comes with this same thicker noodle. Ambiance was ok and sometimes it was tricky to navigate around all the tables, but unlike what another reviewer said, the chili oil was available in a little condiment station. I did have to ask specifically for the pickles, however. Overall, a positive experience and I can't wait to go back!

After waiting, I was handed a milky drink and told I had ordered "milk iced tea," which I absolutely did not. When I pointed out the mistake, the employee argued with me and refused to exchange or refund it. This is basic customer service -- acknowledge the mistake and fix it. Instead, I was told to take the drink I didn't order. The food itself was good, but the service was bad enough that I won't be returning. Excellent service despite having no reason to, since we ordered through a qr code located on the tables. I don't write about customer service unless it was genuinely something that was worth telling people. He gave us a good rundown of the situation of the restaurant and provided an in-depth explanation of the menu for my first time there. He gave us plenty of options to choose from and explained what consisted in each of the dishes. Which helped us ultimately make our choices and I enjoyed every single dish. The interior was well decorated with modern/futuristic reflective aesthetics. A great touch that made me love it even more was the dimming bags put over the spotlights adorned around the ceiling to help cut down on glare and make it a bit more comfortable to enjoy the atmosphere. The mixed vegetable salad was a very pleasant blend of sweet, savory, and Sichuan spice. I originally was going for the cucumber but I was interested in more variety and opted to try more of what they had to offer. It still hit as a refreshing appetizer to complement our other dishes. 9/10 The black pepper noodles were actually amazing with how it balanced out a lot of strong, potentially overwhelming flavors. The black pepper was perfectly seasoning the fiery stir fried bell pepper and noodles. The beef played a great supporting role to elevate the dish without making it all about itself. 8.5/10 The Number 1 rice noodles in soup was powerful without being indulgent. The flavors hit hot and hard but still savory and tastefully diverse. Jin recommended it as the noodles have a very pleasant chew and had a diverse plating with bok choy, pickled mustard, and an egg to top it off. 8.5/10 Overall I enjoyed this place completely and will 100% return when I come back to Texas.
