We chose Ngon for a birthday dinner and unfortunately left disappointed. The atmosphere was nice, but the food lacked seasoning and flavor, which made the meal underwhelming. We were hoping for a more memorable experience for a special occasion.
Wow. So good. For 5 years I've had a specific place be my favorite curry and nothing comes close and I have been very picky about my curry. I took one bite of the shrimp curry here and immediately it became my favorite BY FAR. And was half the price of my old favorite. The curry was also served with butterfly pea flower rice which didn't change the flavor but was super fun. The fried rice was really good but nothing crazy. Next time I plan to get their pho as that seemed like the most popular item. The drinks were also phenomenal and a perfect sweet but not too sweet and super fresh mixture. Super nice people too and not crazily priced. Will be going back!
Really cute Vietnamese restaurant tucked in lower Greenville. Super clean and nicely decorated. The nice thing about this place is they have great portions for the price. The food itself is a solid 4/5. Definitely more catered to the American palette. Flavors aren't as strong (fish sauce) as other Vietnamese restaurants, but overall the essence is still there. Service was pretty good and food came out fast. Would go again for the ambiance and drinks.
I came straight from airport for an early dinner. I was met with a very friendly staff member who consistently checked up on me and refilled my water. Decor is beautiful and spacious. Food was delicious. The wings were good but I've had better Vietnamese wings. The pho was also very good. Broth was solid, noodles were a bit too done due to the piping hot soup. The highlight was the summer rolls, this is the first time I enjoyed the summer roll above anything else. It had a unique crunch to it that added a great texture and it also didn't have vermicelli inside which was unique but I didn't miss it! They are franchising to nyc and we'll see if they bring the same menu.
We were just walking around the area and stumbled across this Michelin bib pho restaurant. I was visiting from southern California and have had tons of great pho there so I had to try this out. Pho is $20 definitely a bit pricey, but wow. I devoured this bowl. The broth tastes so clean but deep in flavor. The beef I usually eat in pho is dry and pretty fatty but at Ngon it was thick and tender with a lot of it. I forgot what the other dish with the vermicelli noodles is called but sooo good. Fish sauce is delicious and the meat was juicy and grilled to perfection. I can't wait to come back to Texas just for this restaurant
Tried due to positive reviews from multiple locals. Larger restaurant with plenty of seating. The staff is pleasant as well. The food is not bad but not great. The staff really warned on how spicy the bun bo hue was. It delivered but was not spicy at all - it was sweeter than usual if anything. Several dishes are not the most authentic, but not bad tasting.
We were very excited to try Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen. We stopped in for our reservation and were seated right away. Our server was quick to greet us but the overall service felt rushed. She was friendly when she stopped by the table. The restaurant itself was attractive and inviting. The food overall was very good. Some of the dishes had standout ingredients like the Grilled Pork and the delicious broth while others remained similar level to other restaurants. I certainly do not regret visiting, but when the prices are considered in balance with the food i am not sure it is elevated enough to justify the pricing differences. Your mileage may vary and i absolutely encourage you to stop in and prove me wrong!
My friend recommended us to come here since we were in town. The street it is located on has a lot of other restaurants nearby. All the lights up during the holiday season really brings a welcoming mood. Once we entered, they were still really busy even though they were closing in an hour. We had to wait until a table was cleaned and then we were quickly seated. Someone got our drink and food orders in a timely manner. I got the pho since the cold weather is perfect for the hot broth. There was a lot of meat which I could not finish. The broth is good and well seasoned. I like how they presented the bean sprouts, lime, jalapeños, etc in a tray for each person. I am used to those being shared for a table. The interior was very modern looking. However, the table we were seated at had very minimal lighting. Felt like we were sitting in the dark. I believe there was outdoor seating as well, but it was cold and dark that evening so I could not see clearly. The service was good. All the staff was very friendly.
The dishes were extremely flavorful and filling. The restaurant has a 'neighborhood restaurant' vibe. I fell in love with the Mango Salad and Chilean Seabass. It's a great place to catch up with friends or a social night on the town.

Visited because of the Michelin buzz but it was a bit of a letdown. * Papaya Salad: Tasted okay but the sauce color and beef jerky visual were unappealing. * Beef Roll: Standard and decent. * Beef Pho: The best dish of the night. Very flavorful. * Duck Curry: The duck was cooked perfectly but the sauce was way too sweet. I could only take one bite. Overall, the dishes here are much sweeter than average Vietnamese food imo. If you don't mind the extra sweetness, you might like it but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me.
Last time I was here, I ordered the Bun Bò Hue (BBH) and of course, I couldn't skip out on getting their Nuoc Mam Wings because it's one of my absolute favorite appetizers. The BBH comes with vermicelli noodles and spicy lemongrass beef broth with beef shank, pork roll and crab balls. It was actually spicy which I loved and tasted so good. The lemon it came with cut down the spice level a little but definitely added to the overall flavor. Nuoc Mam Wings come with five crispy chicken wings, caramelized in fish sauce and garlic. It has a nice, crisp exterior and is extremely flavorful. Without a doubt, it's the one starter I get every single time I go - that's how delicious it is! This spot is definitely one of my favorites in Lower Greenville and I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area. Customer service is excellent and food is always fresh and so tasty.

It was just superior on every level. We ordered the mixed beef pho, the bun cha with pork patties and grilled pork, the bun bowl with tender beef, crispy fried rolls, soft rolls with the most Smokey charred tender pork I've ever had with the perfect crispy roll inside and the shrimp paste and pork rolls. We forgot to take a photo of the pho but the broth was decadent and rich. You could tell from the color and "thickness" that it was the real deal. It was wonderful and satisfying! The service was excellent and the food was superb. Well worth the drive to Dallas!
I've ordered takeout once and came for happy hour at Ngon; and both times were amazing. This is first time I've dined in and I love it even more! Our server was fantastic, ambiance beautiful, drinks perfection and food amazing! I'll just let the pictures do the talking!
Came back again, what's up! I got two of their butterfly pea lemonade (so delicious and balanced), fried chicken (also very nice) and the beef vegetable bowl with butterfly pea rice as well! Rating: 4.4/5 My 2nd visit was better than my 1st! I tried the bun bo hue this time and found the portion size to be bigger than it looked. They're generous with the meat, which is nice. The imperial rolls were good, a classic egg roll. Great service though and enjoyed the night. read more
This is a Michelin Bib Gourmand Vietnamese restaurant that is also opening up a new location in NYC. We made a reservation for a Tuesday night at 7:30pm but it wasn't really necessary because it wasn't that busy. The inside is bright with plenty of seating available with a mixture of regular tables and high tops. The food itself was excellent. The wings were so good that we got a second round. Everything was really fresh and flavorful. If I'm in Dallas again I would absolutely go again! It was also very reasonably priced. read more

It was a cold and rainy day so we wanted pho. We tried this place out and it was super cute on the interior, and right off lower Greenville. Prices are moderate.. but normal for the area. We got the pho Bo (regular) and then the spicy version of the pho Bo. Both were good! Service was prompt as well. The refilled our waters when it got low, and food came out quick. read more
Well to start... this place was awarded a prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand in the inaugural 2024 Texas Guide, not a Michelin Star. Means it's a runner up. The Bib Gourmand was two years ago as well. Service = terrible. We were seated and waited 25 mins for anyone to approach our table let alone acknowledge we were even there. We got water five mins after arriving but had to flag someone down to get service. After begging someone to serve us, we ordered two lavender martinis and the Nước Mắm Wings. We also ordered the beef Pho. The wings were ok. Sweet and sour sauce you can get at any Asian fusion restaurant. Low on fish sauce. Nothing special. They came before our drinks came. The beef pho was good. Good broth, meat was tender. I enjoyed the bowl. I just can't understand how poor the service was. 2 for service and three for food. I'd skip read more

First time here at the Michelin awarded pho place in Dallas. I really like the meaning behind the name of this restaurant and the food just made it even better. Welcoming was warm and attentive, very quick with service. The menu was through a QR code, which is awesome but for more accessibility for maybe those who don't own a phone or have a hard time navigating to get a clearer glance of the menu maybe a short and simple menu to have on the table would of been just great. The ambience was so pretty, I felt like I was in a different city. I got the chicken spring rolls- best top spring rolls I've had. The beef pho-which I can see where the hype is about since I didn't use much hoision sauce or hot sauce. That's a first for me, since I've learned recently that in (Vietnamese tradition) it isnt respectful to put too much extra sauce or seasoning into the pho presented. I will say the meat had a bit more fat than I like. To top it off I ordered the green Thai tea, which has more of a perfume flavor but very settle. The classic yellow one is more milky so if you're someone who enjoys tea drinks you should give it a go! read more
The food was on spot! We had several plates and drank water. I will say no one in my party complained about the food. The price was up there but the portions were well worth it. As for the service well that was a miss. We had a young man servicing us and he took our appetizer order and drinks and then never came back I had to flag him down after what seemed like 20 min to take our actual food order then again he didn't come back to check on us or refill our drinks. So yeah. As for the ambiance it was a bit too active for my liking but if you like a fun, young, and live crowd this would be ideal! read more

This is a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. I adored the fresh spring rolls and the kind greeting. My friend showed me this place and had made a reservation. With all the Dallas traffic; they were accommodating and allowed us our seat still. The vibe was very elegant yet still very comfortable and the service was very kind. We got sat in a booth and the fresh orchid was a beautiful touch to the table. Our server was very kind as well. The host that greeted us brought our waters with citrus already in the water. The metal cups with paper straws were nice. As that was completed we had decided to order spring rolls to start. They were fresh and the peanut sauce was crunchy with freshly chopped peanuts and carrots on top. For my entree I chose a broken rice dish with pork. The pork portion was generous and the freshly pickled veggies with a wonderful sunny side up egg and crack sauce was delicious. The rice was perfectly cooked with a texture that was satisfying to the palate. I adored the water refill with citrus and the attentiveness of the staff. The beef pho looked delicious. I saved the peanut sauce and placed some in my broken rice. It was even more better somehow. 10/10, I truly loved this restaurant. It's located next to alot of wonderful places to grab dessert or even just walk around. I'm grateful my friend showed me this place. read more
Ngon has the BEST Shaking Beef (Bò Lúc Lắc) dish I have tasted in DFW Metroplex. I believe there are two reasons for this: they use higher quality beef and know how to prepare it better than the other Vietnamese restaurants. The beef comes out way more tender and flavorful than the competition. While some of their dishes leans towards "Americanized" version, I think this works for them considering the area they're in and the diners they're trying to attract. Also due to catering to more diverse customers, it compels them to make the presentation of the dishes and the restaurant itself nicer. All of what I stated above does lead you to pay more than you would typically do for Vietnamese food. Due to being in the Lower Greenville area, traffic and parking can be an issue. read more

This was the perfect spot for fresh, authentic Vietnamese food. We tried out Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen after finding it on the Michelin guide. My wife and I really enjoy Vietnamese food, so both of us were eager to try this spot out and see if it was worth the hype. The vibes were calming. We placed reservation online and promptly seated once we arrived. I tried the spicy beef pho, which was rich in beefy flavor. It had the right savory complexity and the right level of heat for me. The aromatics were pleasant. We also tried the vegetarian curry, which was incredibly creamy and packed with fresh vegetables. This also had the perfect balance of heat and flavor. Finally found our new favorite Vietnamese spot! read more

Nom nom! I was back again last night and ordered the same thing. Also got spring rolls. Everything was delicious as before. Loved the crunchy peanut dipping sauce. I ordered the Sakura drink but it didn't have much alcohol, which was a bummer. Overall, great place to eat tasty and fresh Vietnamese food! read more

Very fresh, authentic Vietnamese food. I had just come from surgery but had a craving for Vietnamese food and this place did not disappoint. Everything was so yummy. I ended up taking half of it home and enjoying it the next day. You won't be disappointed. read more
This is my go to spot whenever I am hosting friends in Dallas or showing people lower Greenville. They have an amazing selection of food highlighting several different Vietnamese cuisines from rice dishes, vermicelli bowls, to soup noodles. The vegetarian options here are also top tier!!! The tofu shaken beef option and the eggplant curry are both amazing. For cocktails, you can't go wrong with the Vietnamese coffee martini or the lychee martini. The vibe of the restaurant is casual but elevated and it's perfect for a date night or a group meal. read more
Understanding that Michelin is regarding the food, I'm keeping my love of the food at a 5 and agree it deserves its Michelin recognition. However, service and cleanliness go a long way. Especially if you've received such a high honor for your food. Michelin is a big deal. As such, the service should compliment the recognition. I went for the second time and the service was slow and the lamps on the wall at the table have pho juice residue from prior customers that is visible. Hoping the staff see this. When cleaning tables, be sure to clean the walls and lamps. No one wants to dine looking at pho drops from someone else read more
The Nuoc Nam Wings are legit. Would definitely recommend getting these for a starter every time (as long as you're a fan of crispy wings). The other dishes we ordered were relatively average. The entrees we had were the Bo Luc Lac (shaking beef), Bun Cha, Mi Go, and Broken Rice with Grilled Pork. The standout was the Bun Cha. The meats were well flavored and enjoyed it. But it didn't have bean sprouts. The Shaking Beef or the Broken Rice with Grilled Pork were probably the next best things and last would be Mi Go. I would like to come back to try their Curry Duck. Keep in mind, we've eaten at various places in Vietnam, as well as some well known cities in North America, with also fusion takes and appreciate both traditional and modern takes -- Toronto in Canada, and San Jose and Westminster (LA) in California. read more

Yeah, this place definitely lives up to its hype and recognitions. For sure. The food is absolutely delicious. The place was wonderfully decorated. The servers took a little while to get our orders and our bills but overall the service was pretty good! read more
Went for a late lunch yesterday, Wed 11/12/25, around 2:00PM. Waited over 5 minutes for water and was about to leave because of the wait to place our order. We ordered regular spring rolls which were standard fare, as expected. The wings which I didn't care for, way over cooked and swimming in sauce (see pic) but my 90 year old mom ate them. We split a grilled chicken rice bowl which was a VERY small portion (see pic) and the chicken was way too dry and tasted nasty. Had the waitress come back to check, I would've sent it back. The restaurant wasn't busy, there were only a couple other tables occupied and it seemed more than enough staff. The two waitresses were more interested in chatting and eating, what appeared to be, a communal meal than checking with their guests. I needed a water refill and never got any. While this is a cool looking, trendy spot in a hip neighborhood, it was more than disappointing. I get a dish can be "off" but to not check back with a table so it can be addressed/corrected or refill an empty water glass is inexcusable for a $53 lunch. We ate very little of the entree and weren't offered a to go box, at which time I would've pointed out the dish was bad. Waitress drops the check without a word. I won't be returning, there are way better choices in the area for $50 lunches that taste good and decent wait staff who refill your water. read more
