I think this may have been my favorite cup of coffee in a LONG time. I got the iced strawberry pistachio latte and it was the most delicious thing ever. It's been several weeks since I've had it, and it has not left my mind. I highly recommend you add this coffee shop and this drink to your "must try" coffee shop list. I also love the vibe at the uptown location - two levels, plenty of places to work, not too quiet or loud, had a nice outdoor area... long lines but quick service. I love Dallas. I love walking around and finding unique streets, neat architectural clusters, and I especially love when those things occur near a good coffee shop. White Rhino was perfect for all of these things. Complete with tree lined streets amidst attractive modern and historic style homes and store fronts made walking to this cafe a real treat. The staff was great, didn't make me feel rushed, they looked like they enjoyed being there, and all that makes a difference for sure. The coffee (Iced Latte) was also real nice. Not sure what milk they used, but it was almost sweet. The espresso was subtle and very refreshing. I also got a breakfast sandwich that was tasty, and not messy (a major factor when walking round and eating!) 10/10 will be going back on my next trip to Dallas. read more

We came across White Rhino Coffee on the Yelp app after discovering that a different coffee place that we planned to go to was closing early for the evening. We weren't familiar with this chain prior to visiting, but they have 13 locations all around DFW. We parked on a neighborhood street and walked a couple of blocks. Luckily the weather was nice that day, so the walk was pleasant. The coffee shop is two stories and looks like it a house that was converted into a coffee shop. The vibe was very homey. It's the type of place where you meet up with an old friend and catch up over a cup of Joe. I ordered an Iced Toasted Coconut with coconut milk. The coconut and hazelnut flavors were really good and it was the perfect afternoon pick me up that I needed for the long drive back to Houston. We didn't order any food, but they have pastries and breakfast items like breakfast tacos and sandwiches as well as grab and go items like parfaits. White Rhino came through in the clutch for our drive back. I'm not in DFW that often, but I'll definitely keep them in mind the next time I'm in town. read more

Honestly, extremely mid coffee for its price and long wait times. I've been here twice- each time it's slightly watered down and hard to taste the espresso. The service is super friendly but very slow. We got a latte and had to wait 25 mins. The man besides me waited 20 mins for one shot of espresso. I got the ice snickerdoodle latte ($6.50) and the flavor was there, it just wasnt bold. We also got a muffin that was slightly stale- we came in the morning so maybe it was a leftover from the previous night. White Rhino Coffee is a chain of coffee shops in the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. This particular location is located in Uptown and bonus points for being on the street named after me! On a little day trip to Dallas, we needed a little pick me up for the drive home. Our first option was closed for some reason and the trusty Yelp app led us here. It was a quick drive over but parking was not ideal in this area full of apartments and townhomes. We parked at the first spot we saw which also happened to be blocks away. It was a nice walk though. This location looks like a house turned coffee house. The place looked like the local favorite hangout spot as there were people hanging out inside and out, upstairs and downstairs. There was plenty of tabletop seating as well as comfy couches spread throughout. They do have a nice selection of grab and go options like juice, yogurt, salads, etc. They also have what looked like fresh baked good. Not sure if it was baked in house or elsewhere. You also have nice variety of hot, quick bites as well. Coffee was my objective and coffee is what I got. I went with The Sebastian which is one of their signature items. It wasn't my first choice as they were out of a few things we inquired about. It turned out to be an ok problem because The Sebastian was pretty tasty. It had flavors I love such caramel and white chocolate. They turned it up a notch with a little Irish Cream and not one, but two shots of espresso. This drink not only tasted great, but it also kept me nice and wired for the drive back to Houston. This location's is not the most convenient to get to, but I would stop in again if in the area. After seeing decent reviews and since they're in the neighborhood, my gf and I decided to walk over for brunch. When we arrived there were quite a few people waiting who appeared to have already ordered. We saw a lady at register and asked if we should order at the counter or kiosk. She was nice and said that we could order with her or at the kiosk. Since the kiosk seemed to be convenient, we started to place our order there. However, once we started to select our items, we noticed that the full food menu was not available; only quick bites. Ultimately, we ended up ordering at the register anyway. We ordered the traditional breakfast with bacon, two lattes and French toast with a side of bacon. We received a buzzer and went outside of the patio to grab a table while we waited. About 15 mins went by and I wondered if our coffee might be done prior to the food. My gf decided to go in and check to find that they were. We were eating in so I expected to get an actual mug (as I did see a few people with them inside) but instead we received paper cups but no biggie. We grabbed our lattes and sat outside to enjoy the sun. Sad to say, while the lattes had a great taste, they were luke warm. I didn't expect it to be piping hot but certainly hotter than lukewarm. After waiting another 15 mins or so, the buzzer rang and our food was ready. While presentation was beautiful and portions were great, the food was not hot which we couldn't understand because it literally had just come out of the kitchen. After waiting 30 mins, we dared not send it back so we attempted to eat the lukewarm food. I will say that the food was flavorful. However, since it was now cold we couldn't really enjoy it and ended up getting a to-go box and leaving. We figured heating it up at home would be better than sending it back, waiting another 30-40 mins for a remake. We had high expectations based on reviews but unfortunately we were disappointed and will not be back. read more

This cafe is the perfect spot for studying or working remotely. I visited on a Friday around noon, and despite a few people already settled in with their laptops or on calls, there were still plenty of open seats. I appreciated how many of the seats had outlets nearby, and the music was at just the right volume. The service was excellent too. After placing my order, they brought the coffee directly to my table which was really nice. I ordered the Sebastian Iced Latte. While it was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the syrups had a slightly artificial flavor, the constant flow of people into the shop made me want to definitely give this place anotehr shot and try a different drink next time. read more

A little disappointed in this find :( To start, parking was a little difficult to find because it's all street or residential parking. The ordering process was smooth and I got my Cold Brew out within a minute. However, my friend ordered a Snickerdoodle Latte and although there were 6 people behind the counter and no line, it took a while to get the drink made. I also came here during November while the outside was very cold, and it seemed like the heater was barely on. The place was freezing inside. As for the atmosphere, it was really cute inside and there was 2 stories with a good amount of seating - we just came on a busy saturday. The surrounding area was also really nice and pretty! I ordered a Cold Brew with room for cream and sugar and it was great as always and good for the price! The strong ratings being about ambiance and their couches and few to none being about the end product (coffee) tells you everything you need to know. The staff isn't very pleasant (regardless of who's working) and their skill level screams 'amateur' across the board. Regularly a tedious process for ordering. Basic asks turn into discussions. I understand asking for clarity sometimes, but some things don't need to be a two way conversation. (I.e. "An iced cortado? What's that?" "So just a cortado, but with ice :) " "oh we don't usually make that" "okay I'm sorry?" etc etc etc). The other day I respectfully asked if they could heat up their dry, stiff as a board croissant, and the worker literally refused bc "it messes with the lamination". I've eaten firewood softer than that croissant. Then proceeded to hand over a glass of iced milk as a 'latte'. And then charged $4 for 'double shot of espresso' so that the latte would taste like a latte, which was probably 10ml of espresso. I rarely to ever get chippy with service workers, but I had to ask them what 'double espresso' meant to them, because I felt like I was missing something. Amazing location and lovely design, but as a State Thomas resident who goes to coffee shops to get..coffee..this place is always a let down. Dallas has a competitive coffee scene, and given their consistent low quality, without the location and design, they'd be DOA. After all, bottom line you're a coffee shop, not a WeWork. Such a cute, trendy little spot in downtown Dallas for the public to sip, eat, & enjoy at! We got two customized coffees - both were great with specialty brewing. Also ordered a quick bite (grilled cheese & avocado toast) and it was perfect to hold us over for the afternoon! Observed the sweetest occurrence while dining where a woman brought a sweet homeless man inside for a hearty breakfast sandwich, coffee, and water refill. Once she left the man to eat, he went and asked the barista a number of questions and to refill his water. This guy was absolutely wonderful, so accommodating and polite to him. I would give this place a million stars if I could because I love it so much. The service is amazing here, no notes! So. Much. Seating. I hate going to a coffee shop and they have no seating but this place has PLENTY. Ambiance is great, not too fluorescent, not too dark. The coffee does run sweet so I personally get it half sweet which is perfect! I have also had their pastries and breakfast bowls, again, they were all amazing and they give large portions in the bowl so it's very filling. All in all 10/10 place, the coffee and food could suck and I would still go there. read more

I ordered the avocado toast before 8 am, and received it after 8:31 am. There were only two people behind the counter.

First, the staff's service was amazing. The drinks, both hot and iced were spot on. We ordered two different breakfast items and were happy with the food. The barista even made a suggestion as to doing a double toast which was very much appreciated on the breakfast sandwich We visited the location in Garland that hasn't been open just too long. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the store really needs to be addressed and was horrendous. Dead bugs on the floor, a THICK layer of dust and grime on all the shelves The floor were so incredibly dirty that piles of debris collected in all the corners. The store looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks or longer. This was not the "missed a weekend cleaning kind of dirty. With the great service, friendly baristas and good food, it makes me sad that we have to question what the back food prep area is like. Hopefully, the owners will see this and can check on the upkeep of the store. If so, we're definitely willing to give it another try. read more

Everyone here is studying or working away! $7 coffee before tip. I got the Hug in a cup made with caramel and irish cream. Good cup of coffee. Nothing worldly for me just a good cup, a little expensive for myself but its location was excellent. There were tons and tons of space for maybe 60+ people inside, and another 30 on the balcony with a fantastic view, charging ports and chairs. The indoors chairs had a huge range of ones to try out. On a friday afternoon, they were fairly packed in the morning until 1pm. Around 3pm things started to die down. I was outside, was kinda hard to do any kinds of calls or meetings as different cars might be reving and causing the neighborhood to get disturbed every 20 minutes. I can see myself becoming a regular. \\ french silk latte - chocolate and vanilla tones enrich the texture - the foam is so smooth and creamy, even with low fat milk There are so many outlets throughout the little house. The wifi was quick, even though it was packed with people on their laptops on a sunny weekday afternoon. This place is probably extra popular because of the tasty meal and snack offerings in addition to coffee--with that and the welcoming staff, you could truly stay all day if you were in a productive zone. Street parking in this gorgeous neighborhood isn't too hard to come by, either. Of the many White Rhino locations, this one's camouflaged itself well as a local State Thomas gem. read more
