The veggies and tofu were perfectly cooked--not mushy at all!! The soups came with lots of noodles and we were able to take half of our portions home for another meal. I went on a Saturday morning around 11:30am and was the only customer in there besides a uber driver picking up. I ordered the spicy seafood soup for $20 and a sweet tea for $4. When my food arrived, my table had no napkins, and the waitress disappeared, so I took some from another table. The sweet tea tasted like sugar water. The soup was not tasty at all. Nothing tasted spoiled, it just didn't taste good due to bad flavoring. Thinking I'd add some Siracha to spice it up, well the bottle at my table was empty. The worst pho I've ever had. Poor service. There's one guy working and doesn't acknowledge customers as they walk in. We ordered waters and beef pho and it took 20min to get our waters after the pho came. My husbands spicy pho broth tasted straight like water. My noodles were still hard. Vegan review- there is plenty of space as this restaurant is in a strip of other businesses. We were instantly greeted and asked to sit where we pleased. The dining area is pretty standard, not much decoration. It didn't sale long to get our orders placed, either. It did take a while to get our food, but it's understandable. I got the vegan pho in mushroom broth. It wasn't the best but it was a meal to have. It was just a little plain to the taste, nothing exciting about it. There weren't many vegetables or a variety of vegetables, it was like they just cut them and threw them in at the last minute. Come here every few months for take out to get the pork bahn mi's. The flavor of the actual meat is 10/10 and it also has a nice spicy kick to it with jalapeños (which can be taken out if the spice scares you) and pickled veggies. My only complaint is that the bread is a little dry but still tasty. The spring rolls are also a standout. The peanut sauce is good but I prefer to mix it a little with a pepper flake sauce to give it a little spice and not be too sweet. The pho is pretty standard, broth can be a little bit more on the bland side. Still always a good order tho! The banh mi are great, and I always get a few extra to-go. I got used to their great team work and happy atmosphere over the past 3 years in Dallas. This "PHO" restaurant put the noodles in the broth for a TO-GO order. I have never seen this in any other Pho restaurant across the country. If you don't know the problem with this, you probably have never had pho before. The banh mi bread was stale, made from what I can only assume is deconstructed cardboard baked into a loaf shape. It also was not connected on one side which means it is very hard to dip into the pho broth. There were no servers at all at the front desk even after waiting 5 minutes. The person that eventually did come to give me my order was rude, waved me over from the other side of the restaurant without a greeting or smile, and did not seem to know what they were doing. I would honestly be fine with any attitude, even getting yelled at, if the food was good. However, this was the worst pho experience I have had in years in terms of taste. I will be going down the street to the more expensive but significantly better LaVui restaurant from now on. The pho is good, and it was a fave because I love the egg noodle option, but I am giving them a 3 star overall due to service. Twice now I have went and it seems that when my food is brought to my table, the servers disappear. One time it was busy but on the most recent time, it was an empty restaurant. Took me a minute to find a good pho spot in Dallas I'm happy to say Pho Vietz is one of my favs ! It's a cozy and clean spot l, owners seem very nice and they are always attentive . I have probably been here four times in the past month . My favorite order is the pho bo , Vietnamese coffee, and shrimp and pork egg rolls. I'm from Houston, so I'm not sure what the pho scene in DFW is like, but based off of this experience, I feel very spoiled. I'm pretty critical because I have consistent perfection back home. If you're a casual pho eater, this place is good enough. The service was nice, and the broth and portions are good. Now for my criticisms: I don't eat at pho places that use eye of round beef because I think it's a horrible cut that's dry, thin, and unpleasant to chew. So I only go to places that use "rare steak" or filet mignon meat (it sounds bougie, but it's not uncommon in Houston and not more expensive at all). I saw that this place used "rare beef" and just assumed they meant "rare steak" because I've never seen any restaurant say "rare beef" lol well, they use eye of round. So I guess "rare beef" was accurate. I haven't had eye of round pho in probably over a decade and it's just as I remember it, unfortunately. And for the beef rib, it was good and fatty, but was hard to get off the bone. I don't feel like I got enough meat off of it to justify the cost, but it made up for the eye of round, I guess. For a pho restaurant, their pho options are shockingly limited. The pho bo only had 3 types of meat. Where's the well-done flank, skirt flank, tendon, and tripe? The selection of meat is the smallest I've ever seen for a restaurant that has pho in the name. The sriracha and hoisin sauce at our table were basically out. We had to get some from another table. Our table didn't have napkins, also had to get them from another table. Our table didn't have any spoons either. Got 'em from another table. They were out of Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee during lunch on a Saturday. And the server dropped our check off early without us asking for it, if you care about that. Now for the pricing, wow. Is it because of the area? Why is it so expensive? I can get a perfect bowl of pho in Houston for under $14. It's only a few dollars, but in the world of pho, with so many competitors providing essentially the same product, a few dollars makes a huge difference. And considering what Pho Vietz is providing, a large bowl here should be $12, not $16. read more

The food was very good! I really enjoyed the banh mi. It had everything, the crunch and the flavor was all there. It was delicious. The pho was good, the broth was on the sweeter side, but it was still beefy. The oil makes it more sweet, recommend not adding unless you like your pho sweet. Pho Vietz is BACK AND BETTER! This is quite literally my favorite pho spot in the north west Dallas area! Not only have they moved locations, but they revamped! They now have a larger menu and a full service bar and space that is equipped with large TVs, music, and space! Of course my favorite is the Pho Bo, I got a large but next time I will for sure get a medium because when they say large they mean it! We also enjoyed some fried egg-rolls that were crispy to perfection. We did get some frozen cocktails and were shocked by how great they were! One of the things missing from the medical district is some good pho and authentic Vietnamese dishes. The first time I tried this place, I ordered pork chop over rice because I needed to get takeout. The marinade on the pork is so tasty and goes really well with the rice and pickled veggies it comes with. The pork is a little overcooked but overall it's still a very satisfying meal. The next time, I went to eat in the restaurant and decided to go all out with the Pho bo with short rib special. The portion was so large that I felt like the noodles never ended despite how much I ate! The short rib, though quite impressive and tender, was not my favorite because it lacked flavor. Very easy up front parking makes driving to this place convenient. I was cheerfully greeted and allowed to select my table for lunch service. Several types of 4 top tables on main dining room plus more up the mezzanine. There are also dining counters by the front windows facing Maple Ave. Seems like this restaurant is a new business in a location previously occupied as a Japanese noodle place. Decor is sparse save a painted mural in the main dining area. Ambiance is open concept with casual contemporary American music playing on the speakers. They have a wine & beer bar up front. Also several selections of Vietnamese coffees. Lunch menu is two pages of classic Vietnamese dishes including Bahn mi sandwiches, various appetizers. Prices can be just over $12 per main dish and about $5 for egg rolls. I enjoyed two crispy pork egg rolls with nicely crisped skin and dipping sauce. My medium bowl of beef pho was more than enough to satisfy my hunger. It was served with fresh bean sprouts, lime, jalapeño, and basil leaves for garnish. The pho had good flavor with lots of five spice and peppered meatball pieces. All hot foods were served at proper temperature and were brought to my table quickly. Juan, my server was always smiling, cheerful and considerate. He made my first visit to Pho Vietz very pleasant. The only negative finding was the men's restroom which needed cleaning. Finally found a good pho restaurant that is very close to uptown! I've always had to drive way up north to get good pho. The pho broth is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spices. The noodles are perfectly cooked, and the meats are tender and flavorful. The side of fresh herbs given adds a nice touch of freshness. I also tried the grilled pork rice plate at Pho, and it was equally delicious. The pork was cooked perfectly, and was not chewy. Half of the rice was a little overcooked, the other half was fine.
