Authentic much? If so then this is your spot. They have everything you don't traditionally see at a Vietnamese restaurant. Some of the highlights that were recommended by my gf that I would have to name off are the Com Tam and Hu Tieu. They were both SO good that I have been going back over and over for these two dishes and I have zero regrets every time. Some side notes are : The staff don't speak English so give them some grace and be patient. Their yogurt is really really good. If you go during dinner time it will be busy and service will be a little slow service. Make sure to pour some of the fish sauce over the broken rice, break the yolk, and try a bite. Bep Que stands out amongst all the Vietnamese restaurants in the area by serving something other than the usual pho and bun (vermicelli). My husband and I have been here 3 times already in the last month because their menu has so many different dishes that we want to try. I love Bep Que for being different. They also have a large condiment tray with fresh, sliced peppers and give out free iced tea which is already a win for me. The first two times we came here, we tried to order the banh beo but they said they didn't have any which was a little weird to us because if it's on the menu...why don't you have any during prime weekend lunch hour? We finally got it on our 3rd visit but thought it was just okay -- a little too chewy for banh beo but the taste was good. When it comes to appetizers I really like the banh bot loc (this is also the only thing we have ordered more than once). The xoi chien (fried sticky rice) is really interesting too -- I enjoy the crunch and it's not too oily. My only complaint with Bep Que is that during every visit, we always try to order something that they do not have available but it's fine because it gives us a chance to come back another time. My husband likes the com ga nha trang (rice dish with shredded chicken), bun dau mam tom (vermicelli noodle with fried tofu & shrimp paste) and the xoi ga xa xiu (sticky rice with roasted chicken and BBQ pork). I have tried the com dac biet (suon, bi, cha and lap xuong), bun cha ca, and hu tieu nuoc and thought they were all pretty decent. read more

Absolutely amazing menu options! I had the Bun Dau Mam Tom which was a huge portion with delicious fermented fish sauce. I brought home the Bun Mam, one of the best I have ever had. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere and set up was like a Vietnamese country Kitchen, just like the name. There's a huge visible stock pot with soup going and an assembly area. However, every single time I come.. they're out of something that I wanted to eat!! I've come here probably about five times now and 3/5 times they were out of banh beo, some stuff for the chao long, bánh bột lọc.. I wish they kept a bigger supply of food items so that they don't run out 3/5 times that I go. Other than that, this place is great! The banh beo is probably the best in town. The bun rieu is okay, I've had better. I do like the canh bún, bánh canh cua, hú tiếu khô and cháo lòng. The cháo lòng is a bit on the watery side, if you like it thick I wouldn't get it. This was my first time trying Canh Bun, and it was so so good! The broth was so flavorful and rich, and there was plenty of snail and water spinach to enjoy as well :) You can customize your bowl with the different sauces and pickled jalapeños and garlic they have at each table. It satisfied my needs for a good bowl of noodle soup with offerings aside from the typical Pho. I ordered the bún bò soup. (Not Hue style, but intestine). It was subtle, and tasty. For $14, I'd consider this good value. The service was good, attentive and nice servers and waiters. The restaurant wasn't that busy (I went at 5p dinner) but the wait was longer than expected. I would have to give this restaurant a 3.5. I liked how it was open, welcoming, and clean! I know authentic places don't always keep up with the decor, cleanliness, etc. but this place was really clean. I ordered the soup they are best known for, the hu tieu, and it was pretty decent. However, I think they added to many extras meats and other items that changed the soup to make it taste like something else. It was not bad by any means. but if you're looking for the authentic soup I don't think this is the one. The staff was overall helpful and service was quick. The menu here has a different selection than your normal vietnamese place. I have never heard/tried bun dau mam tom before and so glad I got it here! My husband got a traditional rice platter but he said the fish sauce was the best one he ever had. They have a large selection of condiment at each table and even served pandan ice tea like how street vendors do in VN! We will be back to try other menu items! read more

We're just coming here for friend reunion in Dallas..we're stopped by for lunch before we're heading to the airport..the reason we give to 1 star because all our orders were so bad taste..our bun bo Huế was so sweet and no taste of bun bo Huế at all..and we didn't like their services..we ordered com tam Bo suon and asked for a knife..it took 15mins to give it to us but it's a plastic knife..how come they gave us a plastic knife...it wasn't for to go..and took about 30mins for porridge...took a long time if you ask for something..we definitely won't coming back and not recommend for anyone..hopefully the owner will be better read more

I came here with my child. We sat and waited for 20 minutes, but no one came to greet us or bring a menu. The restaurant was almost empty, yet the two staff members (the female employee might be the manager or the owner) were just standing around, laughing and chatting. Only when I asked did the male staff member finally bring us a menu. When the female employee brought our food, she had an extremely unpleasant attitude. I came here to eat and pay properly, not to beg for food. The food quality is inconsistent--sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's bad. But the service attitude is absolutely terrible. My sister's order (bun rieu) came out fairly quickly (about 10min). I waited...and waited...and waited. Other tables around us were getting their food, finishing, and leaving. 45min passed and my sister finished her food. At this point I was getting upset because I saw another table that had gotten there 20min after us get their order of banh beo. We went up to the counter and told them the issue and to just cancel the rest of our order. There was no apology or even offer to rectify the problem. Service was horrible. Bun bo hue was too sweet and bun rieu had no bun rieu flavor at all. It seems like it was an old batch and the noodles have been soaked in the bun rieu for a while. The vermicelli noodles in the bun rieu were orange. Noodles don't turn orange from sitting in the broth for a few minutes. Banh bot loc was not hot and fresh like before.
