Stopped here while I was going back to Houston. We were going to try another restaurant nearby, but the other restaurant was closed. We saw this place nearby and decided to give it a try. There's a huge parking lot so there is no worry about parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entry, the restaurant looked a bit cramped.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated in the middle of the restaurant. Ordering was easy and did not take long. The food was alright. Nothing too crazy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My main issue was cleanliness. While being served the food, the server's fingers went into the soup bowl more than once.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The price of everything was a bit pricy for the portion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After we were done eating, my husband wanted to go use the restroom. The door was locked when he went tried to go. We asked the cashier if we needed a key to go in, and she said no. Apparently someone was in there despite there being only us and another table nearby. We waited for a while, but no one came out and the other table left after checking out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I do not think I would come back.
Been going here for 5 years and it is still the most reliable Viet restaurant in Dallas area. Every dish on the menu is great, regardless of regional cuisines. Pricing is also very affordable. The only tip is: be careful with the Vietnamese coffee here. It is too authentic, it is VERY STRONG the same way in Vietnam.
I was really heart broken when they let know, Banh Mi's are no longer on their menu! This used to be one of my favorite places to grab some grilled pork Banh mi... I am not sure if anything else would ever bring me back
Stopped by La Me in Richardson and decided to try the Hu Tieu Nam--definitely a solid choice! The broth was super flavorful, light but still packed with umami. The mix of pork and seafood was fresh, and the noodles had a nice chew to them. Service was quick and friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place had a cozy, no-frills vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're craving a good bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup, this spot is worth checking out!
Don't go for the customer service LOL. We went on a cold rainy day. Thought it was a good day for some pho. Sad to say that they don't offer chicken options for any of the dishes. This makes it very hard to dine there if you don't or can't eat beef, pork, or shellfish. Anyway, my daughter got the #125 which was a fried chicken appetizer, but it looked like a full meal when they brt it out. It was 1/2 a small chicken fried on a bed of rice and sliced veggies on the side. She was hungry and said it was okay. I got the Bun Cha Thit Nuong without the THK. It wasn't special. The grilled pork was ok. It came with 2 summer rolls. That were pretty good. I got 2 spring rolls that I don't recommend. I'm glad I got to go, but I won't return.
If you REALLY like shrimp this may be the place for you. A lot of the dishes here are shrimp forward, and just filled with it. The vermicelli noodles were good, I was not blown away but still a good. Personally, the Mi Quang noodles just tasted like shrimp paste in water-this could just be a novice opinion. Service was meh, and interior is mildly cute.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. We're from out of town so had quite a few questions about the menu. The food was pretty average. My fave was probably the egg rolls then banh canh and last is the bun bo hue. None of the dishes really threw awed me.
Update: It's sad that the quality of the food here has declined so significantly. We ordered the Mi Quang, a previous favorite and the noodles were over cooked and broken into small pieces, flavor lacking, just salty, and the rice sesame cracker tasted burned. The dry combination hu tieu was still good, which is why they still get the 3-stars. Service was terribly inattentive when there were only four tables seated. Highly disappointed.
La Me is anything but lame. This is in the same complex as Bistro B. Unassuming, hole in the wall spot that gets lots of visitors flowing through. This place is the spot to go if you're craving viet noodles and you're in the Garland area (because let's be honest, why else would you be there?) What we've gotten: - Mi Quang: One of their specialties - tumeric noodles, assortment of seafood. Had to try it, especially if its one of their specialties! Definitely something different, but delicious nonetheless. A winner here - 98B Mi Kho Dac Biet aka house special dried noodle: Another one of the house specials. This is THE dish to get. Dried egg noodles (soup on the side) with an assortment of protein (shrimp, pork, bbq pork, etc.) Deliciousness in a bowl The staff makes sure to get you your orders quick, even though they're busy. This is one of those places that I've experienced a wait on a random weekday late lunch, so be prepared. They make sure to get you your food quick, though!
Coming from Vietnam and California, is this one of the best cơm tấm I ever had in my life. I had the cơm tấm 7 món aka broken rice with 7 topping. Service was also GREAT! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathroom is clean and the restaurant is very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Despite the outdated look of restaurant, the foods taste delicious and authentic. The fried rice is a must-try item. Vietnamese coffee is strong but so good. Prices is lower than other places, but doesn't make food portion less. Thumbs up!
Great place to get some quick Vietnamese food. I love their rice dishes and I was craving bún riêu which is a crab/tomato noodle soup. I probably wouldn't get their bún riêu again it was okay, but I would order their rice dish again. Food was quick and this spring rolls with peanut sauce are good as well.

I love great Vietnamese food. This place is good. The flavors are there and the dishes were fresh. We've been many times for the eggrolls. They taste like the eggrolls my Vietnamese neighbor used to give us way back in the day. I'm going to buy some to give my mom so she can enjoy the nostalgia. The rice stick bundles were good. I don't have any complaints, but felt it was lacking one or two elements to be great. Not sure what those would be; crumbled peanuts, shredded pork skin. Idk, not my restaurant. I loved the bowl of water for your rice paper wraps. Diy is my favorite and Vietnamese is known for that. This place is a true local gem. The taste was good, recommended. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean and fresh.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was friendly and respectful One thing I was uncomfortable was the price. The portion of noodle included was pretty small. They charged me 3 bucks for an extra one which I found expensive. read more

Great place to get some quick Vietnamese food. I love their rice dishes and I was craving bún riêu which is a crab/tomato noodle soup. The pho here is one of the best I've had. That's saying a lot in the Richardson/Garland area given all the great pho places around here. Their Bánh hỏi thịt nướng is pretty amazing too. Highly recommend this place if you're a Vietnamese food snob. read more
The service is good and the place is clean. I had the seafood fried rice and my mom had the shrimp pho. I wish the rice portion was a bit bigger, but it was flavorful and had about two of each (shrimp, scallops and calamari). The pho was a bit fishy in smell, but was good in flavor. They give you a small dessert drink. read more
La Me is a hole in the wall restaurant. The prices for the Pho / Hu Tieu are reasonable at ~$8-9 a dish. The broths for both soups were flavorful. The Hu Tieu came with both egg/rice noodles. The amount of additions to the soups were plentiful with the amount of noodles. The staff were friendly and patient while we scanned our options. They were attentive and responded in a timely manner if we needed anything. Overall, I would definitely come back read more
I was so excited to take mom to La Me on a Sunday morning. It was one of the few authentic VN restaurants I wanted mom to try during her visit from Louisiana. Wow, never have I seen a restaurant do a 180 for the worst after new management. Every single soup-based dish we ordered were bland. Even hoisin sauce, sriracha, nor fish sauce could help salvage our meal. Also, the peanut sauce that goes with the spring rolls were watered down. It was flavorless water. Nowhere close to the rich, thick, peanut sauce it was meant to be. Honestly, it couldn't get any worse. I don't think this place will be able to make a comeback. Once all the regulars have come and go, they will not be returning, us included. read more
They've take. Away the personal club soda that goes with soda chanh muoi. Hands down was the best soda chanh muoi in town but now they use a big liter bottle and it was flat because I got the last bit of it. Don't recommend unless you're the first pour. Prices have gone up as well so check your menu. I ordered the bo luc lac several times and always overcooked. You have to remind them mr. I feel like the portions have gotten smaller again. We came here because of the food reviews but we were very underwhelmed and disappointed. The only dishes we liked were the egg rolls and the rice dish with grilled pork. The spring rolls were small and the veggies in it were yellow and old tasting. The rest of us ordered noodle broths and they were all too bland. The bun Bo hue needed satay and the hieu thieu and banh canh looked so sad with their lack of toppings. They didn't even come with the advertised crab. The banh canh was also very fishy. read more
Heard great things about La Me so I had to try this place myself. Authentic vietnamese restaurant and one of my top vietnamese restaurants in DFW so far. Ordered the following: Mi Quang - vietnamese tumeric noodles from Quang Nam, comes with sesame rice crackers on the side Bun Cha Ha Noi - Hanoi style vermicelli and grilled pork patties Cha Goi - Egg rolls, Mung Bean Smoothie - it's not really a smoothie, more like mung bean milk juice with lots of ice... they put too much ice and not enough liquid. ask them to reduce the ice so they can fill it up more (not sure if they will but doesn't hurt to try) The place was pretty packed during peak lunch hour, almost to full capacity. Restaurant did not space the tables 6 feet apart.... which was concerning. Luckily my girlfriend and I got a corner area, kept our masks on at all times until our food came out and put it back on when we were done. (-1 star for that) read more

I've been craving some hu tieu since the weather these days have been a bit rainy and I have been getting tired of pho so me and a friend decided to check this place out since it seems to be popular for not just pho but the hu tieu. I came and it's a medium sized place resturant that feels kinda cozy inside. Workers greet you and seat you down and give you the menu and take your drink order like normal. I was looking at the menu and these turmeric noodles looked really really good.. I was so tempted and since it's a new place I decided to try it. Oh man it looked and smelled amazing as it came out. It also came with fried sesame seed rice paper and 2 thai chili peppers. Those peppers are SPICY... do not just bite into it without caution.. Anyways back to the noodles.. man it was so good.. I realized there was a BED of bean sprouts under the noodles and it was ALOT. I think next time I'll ask for the bean sprouts on the side cause it was wayy too much for me. But pretty good because I like my bean sprouts kinda cooked and it cooked well with the broth under the noodles. Definitely will be back if I am in the area. I wish it was closer cause I would come often haha. read more

Despite experiencing slow service, we remain loyal to the restaurant for their delicious food. My go-to dish is the Mi Quang, although the noodles were undercooked during our last visit. Nonetheless, the broth was still enjoyable. We also ordered a coconut drink, which was good, but it had lots ice so it didn't take long to finish. read more
My brother took me here and I absolutely love this joint! Authentic Vietnamese food and reasonable prices! As with many Vietnamese restaurants, the menu here is robust! I loved the variety but my brother ordered for us as he's a regular here & said not everything is good lol We had the shaking beef, bun bo hue and a pork dish with grilled shrimp that we made into a spring roll. I definitely love it here and have every intention of coming back! read more
My lovely spouse treats me to a pedicure about once a month. I got to chatting with my Vietnamese technician about this and that. The topic of food came up and I admitted a particular joy in Pho--Pho Tai to be exact. We both agreed that one famous Vietnamese restaurant in Richardson was a go to. Luckily, Jun came up with La Me as a good alternate. Cutting to chase; she was absolutely correct. A couple of things stood out upon our arrival. The immediate attention to setting us and taking our drink order. They gave us a chance to peruse the extensive menu--the pix are not all the pages of the menu. I already knew what I wanted. I still got caught up in studying my options. We ordered and within a very short amount of time we were served with all the accouterments. My first taste sealed the deal. Because of a very restrictive diet where I lost 60 lbs (yes, I'm bragging), I had not enjoyed a pho for some time. There was only one size to choose from. I didn't finish all the soup but everything else was scarfed up like it was my last meal. The egg rolls were delicious as well. We really didn't need the rolls but I'm very glad we ordered them. Quick, easy, and painless plus excellent pho. Put La Me on your "gotta try" list. It may not be as grand as the restaurant I eluded to earlier but the food was in the running. Our favorite vietnamese restaurant in DFW, which is saying a lot. They are known for their rice and rice noodle dishes. It's packed every weekend and with good reason. I usually go for the #39 or #48. The menu is big but really most of it is just variations of the same dish. What really sets them apart is the quality of the toppings. The shrimp cake, egg roll, shrimp, grilled meats, everything is awesome and comes out fresh. Service is pretty efficient and attentive for how busy it is read more

Poor customer service. Rude. I called to order to go. The owner hung up on me twice. I drove to them 20+ min away to be told I could only order soup and spring rolls as they were closing in 15 min. The spring rolls were miniature and didn't even have noodles in them. I ordered beef broth and it tasted like sweet chicken broth. What happened to customer service and satisfaction? Most restaurants serve until closing and THEN they clean up and shut things down. NOT this place. If I was witty enough I would have let them prepare my food and treat him the way he treated me and said "no thanks....I don't want it now" but I'm much too kind to do that read more
I'm new to the neighborhood and I'm looking for a great restaurant that serves pho. Of course I had to try this place since it has "great reviews". I was sadly disappointed. From the beginning of placing my order over the phone, they basically were out of almost everything I wanted. I wanted chicken pho, Thai tea with boba, and spring rolls. They were out of chicken pho & boba. So I settled for raw beef pho, Thai tea without boba, & spring rolls. Upon arrival my order wasn't ready and the place definitely is a "hole in the wall", it even looks like it would have health violations. Needless to say I won't be going back. There are too many competitors around that I would rather try, then to waste my time & money at this place again. read more
