THEN, when I got home and open the bag of drinks I saw that my 4 cups of coffee were actually only about half way filled up. As seen in the pictures, they were sealed and not opened yet. So I waited and paid for 4 drinks and got this instead. So sad because I was really forward to going to this place. I would recommend to maybe call ahead to avoid the wait and to definitely check your drinks when you get them. $20 for 4 full drinks is not bad, but $20 for this is HORRIBLE. I will call on Wednesday to talk to someone about this.

I ordered the spicy half chicken with creamy corn, white cheddar mac & cheese, biscuit, Mike's sauce and ranch. I also tried the Mike's sandwich with fries and added cheese, plus the 4-piece spicy chicken tenders with fries, mac & cheese, biscuit and Mike's Buffalo sauce. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful inside, and I really liked that it was served fresh and hot. They cook the chicken to order, so it took around 25 minutes for our food to be ready. Honestly, I don't mind waiting a little when the chicken is freshly cooked. The creamy corn and white cheddar mac & cheese were good, and the biscuit was fresh. I also liked the sauces, especially Mike's sauce. The tenders were crispy without being overly greasy. The only things I think they could improve are the fries, which were a little soggy, and the fountain drinks are quite expensive for a casual chicken place. Overall, Mike's Chicken is definitely a good halal option around Plano/Richardson. Fresh, crispy and flavorful chicken, with a good variety of sides and sauces.

I'm a coconut shrimp addict and tried this place with my wife when we were in the area. Very happy with the result as the meals included a great combo of shrimp, rice and salad. The coconut shrimp on my order were medium sized with a coating that was not too thick and had good coconut flavor. My wife had the sampler with a combination of coconut and sweet/spicy which she liked. The rice had a buttery flavor with a hint of coconut which made me wish I was not too full to finish the entire portion. Highly recommended and I hope they open one in my area.

They're in a food truck parked at a gas station right on the Garland/Richardson border, and it's easy to spot thanks to the Egyptian flag proudly displayed out front. The customer service is next level. I asked for a salata, but they were missing a few ingredients... and they literally went on a quick grocery run to make it happen. Worth the wait. The spicy version of the tomato + cucumber salad was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I wanted. My only real feedback: the menu is pretty limited. I'd love to see a few more options, especially something lighter like a non-bread/non-carb koshary option (even just sauce + grilled meat over the salad), or a couple appetizers/small bites. That said -- if you want legit koshary without spending hours cooking lentils at home, this is the spot. I'll definitely be back.
