    Greens and grain bowl
    Mitch S.

Cava always hits. I think the best option is the green and grain bowl which is the perfect combination of rice and lettuce (arugula is my favorite). The honey chicken is my favorite protein to order. And the tzatziki, feta, and hummus are easily the three best dips to include in a bowl. In terms of portion I am always pleased with the size. I think they switched up the pita. You used to get one pita slice that was warm and soft. Now you get 5-6 large pita crisp like chips to dip in the bowl. They were extra salty but good. Not sure if they are extra cost, it did seem a bit pricier than usual. Nonetheless, a solid lunch option.

Sometimes fast casual is the only realistic option for dinner. For that reason I'm overjoyed that McLean has CAVA now! My husband and I both indulged in chicken grain bowls and both devoured them. I love the Mediterranean concept, the spreads and various toppings are delicious and really enhance the dish. We had a great experience, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. P.S. Don't forget to ask for complimentary pita bread to accompany your bowl!

I came to this location for the very first time tonight right around 6:30pm. My guess is that there were about four other groups of people already seated and enjoying their meal. I decided to maintain my healthy decorum today, so I went for the Greek salad with grilled chicken. This thing included all kinds of wonderful ingredients like humus, kalomato olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. It took literally seconds for the three employees behind the counter eto prepare a the salad, and soon enough I was seated and eating the way that I should! It tasted wonderful. My only complaint about my visit here tonight was that the air conditioner was blasting freezing cold air, on a day when it wasn't even that cold at all! It was definitely frigid!

I love love love CAVA! The best way for me to describe CAVA is the chipotle of Mediterranean food. My go to order is a grain bowl (ask for pita on the side too) with half chicken/half braised lamb and toppings galore. With your bowl you get your choice of three dips and then additional toppings/dressings. You should definitely go for the traditional tzatziki sauce, crazy feta, and eggplant + red pepper for your dips. For dressings my top two are the yogurt dill and Sriracha Greek yogurt. I'm not big on spice but the Sriracha Greek yogurt is a milder dressing that goes great in almost everything! I really love CAVA and get excited with each new storefront they open up! If you're like me and plan on frequenting CAVA be sure to download their app as you get $ back/rewards after you spend a certain amount paying through the app!

Great food but the 5 stars are for the friendly, helpful staff from the start of the order all the way to the smiling cashier at the end.

New halal spots pique my curiosity, unlike the average restaurant. It's almost impossible for them…read moreto be both overpriced and bad. At worst, it is one of the two (with exceptions). This establishment seems to be Egyptian owned, as the walls claim that Egyptians created bread, cupcakes and falafel. The service was fine, though the tables could have been cleaner. I appreciate that they allow you to substitute some of the rice portion for lettuce/spring mix although the spring mix was wet. They also offered both spicy and regular options for rice and chicken. I got spicy rice with spicy chicken, and for my toppings I got Mediterranean salad, hummus, and tzaziki. I didn't realize you could also get white sauce, green sauce, etc, so I probably wouldn't get tzaziki and get olives or something else next time. The chicken and rice combo was a bit overly spicy for me and upset my stomach slightly. I'd probably get regular for both the next time. I also got tiramisu which they recommended over all the other "cupcakes" which they claim (via the wall) is Egyptian. The tiramisu was surprisingly good. There was soft music that seems Arabic-speaking. They have fountain drinks as well as bottled beverages. They also include a service charge - it was like $0.42 for me. I don't regret stopping by, but I wish my stomach was more settled. I just came from a restorative yoga class and I was thoroughly at peace.

Well, this time we actually tried it. I'm a simple caveman - we've got a bowl with basmati rice, chicken AND lamb/beef gyro, tahini, and hummus. Hits the damn spot. Fountain drinks, combo options, cups for water, and bottled drinks. You go down the line, say what you want (like every fast casual these days), and end up at the register. Fast operation. Plenty of seating indoors.

I've had their bulgolgi sandwich, steak and cheese as well as their chicken pita (my favorite). They don't have an online option (which for me is something they can work on) but I usually place a phone order and in 15 minutes my food is out hot for pick up. Super casual restaurant with a parking lot. Totally worth a visit. They also have a frequent flyer program with loyalty stamps.

They have a variety of snacks and drinks to choose from along with their sandwiches and breakfast. You can tell that this place is part of the community with all the photos of local schools and people and celebrities with the owner, David. Service 5/5 The service here is excellent. All the staff here is so friendly. This is a family establishment and you can feel like everyone treats you specially and not like another random customer. The owner, David, is so nice and once you start coming a few times he'll remember you. Steak & Cheese ($12.49) 3.5/5 A simple but good sandwich. The bread is light and crispy. The meat is tender and chewy and the cheese brings the the whole sandwich together and is so stretchy. The veggies are fresh and add a bit of crunch. It's a bit pricey and the sandwich isn't the biggest but it's a solid sandwich to get once in a while.

Once we found the RollBär kiosk after shuttling from the parking lot to Shipgarten, we ordered online at the nearby digital ordering pads and found ample seating on the picnic benches nearby. Service-wise, everything was self-served. However, the wait was reasonable and the team at the kiosk were warm and friendly. In terms of the quality and taste of the food, we loved everything -- especially the avocado salad! The salmon + veggies were fresh and copious and paired well with the dressing. Definitely my top pick of the bunch. We also enjoyed the loaded tots with crabmeat, shrimp + tots waffle, and sushi waffle. Everything ordered from Roll Bär was on point -- super fresh with great flavor -- and with creative presentation. Best Bets: - Avocado Salad with Salmon - Loaded Tots - Sushi Waffle We enjoyed our food on the outdoor picnic tables which had a nice view of the urban landscape -- perfect for those warm, summer evenings. The music, string lights, and fences gave off a cozy backyard vibe that felt relaxing and family-friendly with the kids play area, dog area, and entertainment area nearby. Overall, RollBär offers a fun experience over a variety of memorable foods + drinks and is a great place to hang out with friends and see all the neighborhood dogs. So. Many. Cute. Doggos.
