Cava never disappoints me. They're the young love everyone craves to have in high school, the peanut butter to my jelly, the avocado to my toast, the creme de la creme. Food is great, but SERVICE is better. MARY and MERON are the best! I like to come in for a quick healthy option after my evening gym session and, I confess, I am "that guy" who shows up 5 minutes before close. But Mary and Meron are always so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They often put their closing-duties on hold, put their gloves back on and take care of me all while having a smile on their faces. There's actually another Cava on my way home from the gym but they always make it known that I'm not welcome even though they're technically still open. The is the best CAVA in the area with quick, friendly service and great food. I've never gotten anything that was less than fantastic, but my favorite are the mini pitas with chicken. Cava Chain Bridge Road is outstanding! All of their employees are good, but one in particular its great - she remembers my order by heart, and is always consistently efficient and professional. If you see Kayla at Cava McLean, you know you will be getting great service! In addition, the establishment is well run, clean and organized. When I was first invited to try Cava I almost declined because Mediterranean food isn't very high on my list of favorites. Thank goodness I changed my mind and decided to go. This place has been put into regular rotation of places to eat in McLean. I've always liked the whole assembly line concept: get what you like, as much as you like, and skip what you don't. What's not to love? I've tried out a few things on their menu before writing this review: chicken, falafel, super greens, romaine, rice, and almost all of their toppings (and don't forget the complimentary mini pita with your greens and/or grains bowl. Everything is delicious, I am especially a fan of their sriracha yogurt dressing and drink selection. This place gets CROWDED at lunch time, and even at certain evening hours. I've seen lines that wind around to the door. So time your visit wisely or order online. Speaking of online, I have placed an order and gone to pick it up. This was the only hiccup I ever experienced. I ordered around noon on a Sunday using the Cava app (they offer small rewards, and it's worth the download if you want to order ahead) and went to pick up my order around 1pm. I usually give a five minute grace period before I go in and get annoyed if it's not ready, because I'm a sane person and I know sometimes things get busy. At 1:07 the order wasn't ready. Actually, it wasn't even made. The line wasn't long and the place was half empty, so I was slightly annoyed. But then I was given a free large drink and offered any cookie or item up front by the register as an apology while they got my order together. I was extremely impressed with their quick response and attempt to remedy the situation. My order was made quickly and I was out the door and in my car by 1:12. If they hadn't apologized or made such a generous effort, I would have deducted a star, but they made sure everything was right before I left the store. Cava has undoubtedly stolen the fast casual, "build your own" crown from Chipotle for me. Great flavors. And a solid choice for lunch or dinner. read more

I love CAVA and am happy there is a new-ish location near me in McLean. This locations has all the same elements that make this chain a winner -- fresh, healthy food at a reasonable price. The drinks are always interesting, too. My only beef with this location is the staff. Have been here 5 or six times and think generally they could be more friendly and accommodating. On my most recent visit I was having trouble with my CAVA App (used to pay) and the cashier was pretty impatient with me and not too willing to assist. Still, overall a great find for those looking for something healthy and interesting. read more

Stopped here today for lunch during lunch rush hours and it was pretty busy here but the line went super quick and the staff was all very nice. I love Cava, if you haven't tried it you need to. I've eaten here 4 times since I tried it for the first time 2 weeks ago. I was a bit intimidated the first time because of all the choices but the staff is always very helpful and will let you try things to see what you like. I think everything here tastes good, so don't be afraid to mix and match things... every time I come I make a point to try something new and haven't disliked anything. So glad this location is right near my job ill definitely be returning.... probably before the week is over. read more

The dining room was filthy. There was food from previous diners on most tables. The floors needed to be swept as well. The employees obviously noticed that we were looking for a clean table. It took at least 15 minutes for an employee to come out and half heartedly clean some of the tables.....not all tables and he left food on the seats of the chairs. We were the only 2 diners in the restaurant. Clearly they were not overwhelmed with customersThis is unacceptable under normal circumstances. I just want to say that I LOVE THE MANAGERS AND STAFF at this location. The food is always fresh and yummy, and the restaurant is always clean and tidy. Beatrice is so sweet. My sister is obsessed with this place - and after always hearing her rave about it, I finally tried it! It was good - like Chipotle, but generic Mediterranean. I had a salad bowl with veggies, falafel, and assorted toppings and sauces - it tasted good (though the falafel looked a bit weird - very chunky). If you get a salad and load it up with tons of toppings like I did, I recommend asking for an extra to-go bowl, which you can use to mix the salad without making a huge mess. Walked into Mclean CAVA, lady behind the counter was completely ignoring me, did not greet or ask for my order. Thought may be she is busy preparing the order for another client, waited. Chipotle was once a staple in our household but Cava has replaced it in our hearts when it started opening up stores like crazy in Northern VA. I really used to like going to Cava but today the woman who was adding the spreads to the bowl put the wrong spread in the bowl. When I pointed that out, shelooked at me, took her gloved hand, reached in my bowl, and with her hand scooped it out! I didn't even know what to say--these gloves are worn as they handle the utensils, clean up the counters, everything. It seems like this would be against health codes or something. So this is the second time that I've left frustrated!! First they do not acknowledge the pick up order customers AT ALL! I stood there for about 5 minutes until another customer told me that they now leave the pick up orders over to the side where it is not monitored on a shelf on the wall!!! Im in the medical field and believe me you do not want your food sitting out far away from staff for strangers to touch and breathe all over not even at the least in a bag! Yes-- the wait is short here and they have quality ingredients but this particular location does not live up to the hype. I've been here 3 times in the past month or so and every time I go: the food looks like it's been sitting there all day and it's always semi-warm/not hot food. I came in around 830 tonight and the lentils were dried/crunchy, also the falafel was dry and extremely salty. Further, the vegetable blend was not a blend... it just consisted of squash... oh yeah and i found one piece of brussel sprout in there. As much as I love the Cava franchise, their fresh ingredients, and amazing flavors... this branch is not cutting it. If I want Cava, I'll be driving out to Tysons from now on. read more

I love this place! Friendly staff and the food is perfect every time. I order my food online ahead of time and it's always ready waiting for me. There's always enough seating (even at peak hours) and the restaurant is kept very clean.
