My gosh this place is the best! What have I been missing out on! Just one meal here and I'm a huge Fan now. Decked out western style theme, what a cool setting. Service was incredible and thoughtful and so kind The FOOD! The meat! The very big meat cuts! Goodness we are in heaven having a feast. Got the 2 lb sirloin and the rustler ribeye steak. Ribeye was a lot softer and easier to chew. Sirloin was tough. 2 lbs of meat - wow where else can you order such a massive piece of steak?! Even if you don't finish it, it was a ton of fun, just pack it to go Sides- Artichoke Sourdough bread and butter Baked potato with everything on it Beans Unlimited salad!!!!!!! I would love to come back and bring a big party for a celebration! My cowboy and I walked out of here super happy. Thanks for an incredible night in the Wild West

I came to Cattlemen's because my hotel had one of their ads and they were close. I wasn't in the mood for steak but I'd make do with something. At 505pm on a weekday, I was seated immediately with no wait and quickly greeted by an affable server (Molly). Throughout my stay she was attentive without being intrusive and the supporting service was efficient in the way good restaurants are. I got my drinks and breadstick right away, got my appetizer with a pause long enough to enjoy every bite and then my main...clearly they know what they're doing here. My order of Brussels sprouts were delicious; firm with some resistance and well seasoned. I ordered a Cesar salad with steak which was cooked to order...a very satisfying and filling meal. I love a restaurant that embodies their ethos! This is a steakhouse and in every way it shows. Ultimately, the food I ordered was great and if I'm in the area, I'll comeback with my friends and really enjoy the menu selection and service.

We came here on friday night after hitting the gym and arrived around 7pm. We specifically wanted to visit for the happy hour specials we've seen. It's mon-fri 4-10pm at the bar area. We honestly were pleasantly surprised at how many people were there. My bf took advantage of the $4 beer special, and I got two of the pendleton sour for $6. He originally wanted the prime rib sandwich for $10 but they were out...so we ended up with the pete's special steak. It felt a lot like prime rib. it also comes with a complimentary drink (beer). The rodeo burger was honestly pretty good, the fries had a good outer crispy texture. The pickle was soggy in a bad way. I think we'll be coming back more to try other items.

The food was good overall and price was affordable for what I ordered. Steak had good flavor and was tender with a good sear and tender middle part. I was not a huge fan of the fried onion strings, seemed as they were not freshly fried, in my opinion grilled onions or mushrooms would pair better. Potatoe skins with cheese and bacon were amazing. And cheeseburger was moist and flavorful. Hate to nitpick but service is what was lacking during my first time here. Took a while for us to be seated , greeted and our order taken. I'd still come back though and try again.

Came here with my family to celebrate my dad's birthday. While waiting for the rest of my party to arrive, I sat at the bar and ordered a drink. I noticed they had a pretty solid happy hour menu, so I went with a margarita and the lamb lollipops. The margarita was decent, but the lamb lollipops really stood out--very flavorful and tender. Our party arrived a bit earlier than our 7 PM reservation, but we were seated right away. We ordered three appetizers to share: mozzarella sticks, fried onions, and bacon-wrapped shrimp. Everyone enjoyed them, and they also brought out warm bread with butter, which was a nice touch. For our main courses, we ordered the Cowboy ribeyes and beef ribs. The portions were generous and easily shareable. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Overall, this is a solid spot to enjoy good steak in the Livermore area.

I've been here twice and am always happy with my meal. It's so delicious and service is always good. I love that they offer salad with your entree and it's always fresh! Cattle's man's is 1000% better than Texas Road House. They are also way priced decent for the serving sizes you get as well as the sides they offer. It tends to get busy so try to there early or call ahead.

Saw this place when driving to the hotel. Have eaten at other Cattlemen's and have great experiences. Decided to walk here. Ordered the small cut of prime rib. Salad came out quick, though it was blue cheese vs. ranch. Jade offered to replace it. Small cut looked sizable. Great that they get it sizzling right at the table. Great that they do military discounts. I'd come back again.

Cattlemens Livermore did not disappoint. Cody our waiter is awesome. Great suggestions from him, like adding sage butter steak topper $2 and mushrooms $6 that I didn't know about. Cody knew the list of light beers by memory. Very impressive. We had the 20 oz porterhouse $55, 8oz steak & lobster $49, 14oz rustler rib eye steak $40, grilled artichoke $12, tumbleweed onions $14, couple of Coors lights $6 each and a coke $4. Everything tasted great. We didn't have to wait long for the food to come out. Loved the western feel of the restaurant. Thank you for a great dinner Cattlemens Livermore. Exceptional job everyone.

If I could just go for the bread, salad, and chocolate cake, I would give this place 5 stars. Other than the long wait for our food, The service was outstanding, It wasn't the server's fault, it's just so busy. I do love the old western style of the restaurant, but the food is just okay, nothing special. The complimentary ice cream for my niece's birthday was thoughtful and appreciated.

Update for my last review; the last 2 occasions my bf and I have come to cattlemen's for dinner, they have been absolutely delightful thanks to our new favorite waitress Christine! She is a timely, efficient respectful server with the best jokes! Thank you very much Christine for being such a wonderful waitress. Given my last review, since that point I've noticed an influx of servers who are excellently suitable for cattlemen's busy nights!! The food is delicious as always (:

My wife and I were seated promptly, in the bar where we chose to sit (game was on there we wanted to watch). We ordered a mojito for her and a large iced milk for me. We went on to do the Original Steak Dinner for Two approach, a Tumbleweed, and two BBQ ribs with sweet potato, and shared an apple for dessert. The service From Nicole and her colleagues was spot on, friendly, prompt and attentive. The food was nicely done, no complaints but lots of compliments for the quality of the fare. It all hit the spot after a long day of traveling in from Ashland by way of Medford to SFO. My only observation for area of improvement would be the men's bathroom which looked like it could use a bit of attention (see picture). I give this experience a solid 4 out of 5.

A decent steakhouse where we had excellent service. Special shout out to our server, Benny C, who was phenomenal; warm and friendly demeanor, attentive, and helpful. I would also like to thank the staff for keeping my credit card safe after I left it behind to rush to a movie! While the service was 5/5, the food was 4/5. I ordered one of the beef & reef combos, the 8 oz. sirloin and steamed 1/2 lb. Dungeness crab. The crab was a bit dry for my liking. The steak was better, and I liked the baked potato with all the fixins. I also liked my blackberry lemonade (4/5). The bread and salad that come with the meal were fine. We sat in a comfortable booth. The ambiance of the restaurant fits the theme appropriately. It's a good place for groups and family dinners! Definitely recommend making a reservation. Thanks again to the Benny and the team for the wonderful service.

This photo is representing the empty plates of all you can eat.

Service is horrible, I asked for a re-fill of bread and never got it. We had all you can eat salad which would be nice if you actually can get a refill. This place needs help!!!!!

They happily accommodated. Given our table map, the room was a bit cozy for forty but no problem for the waitstaff. The room itself is private, lots of windows, big buffet table and wine area, so it was all good. Waitstaff and venue were great, but what made the event special was the very high quality of the food: gourmet shrimp appetizer, flatbread, salad, chicken kabob, filet mignon kabob (no exaggeration), and Oasis salmon, plus rice, asparagus, mashed potatoes, chocolate mousse cake for dessert, coffee, tea, sodas. AND... they sent our family home with the leftover food, quite a lot that we've polished off since. Charge was $69 per person, three kids counted as one person for a special pizza, 20% service, tax, poured wines from a reasonably priced wine list. Total bill came to $4,000. So... Five stars. When making the reservation, I specifically noted that this was a birthday celebration and selected covered outdoor patio seating through the reservation system. When we arrived on time, we were told there were no tables available in the area your reservation platform had offered us. To make matters worse, after a staff member asked us which available table we preferred, we pointed one out, only for another waiter to immediately give that exact table away to a smaller party while we stood there as a party of six. That set the tone for the evening. Service throughout the night lacked professionalism and hospitality. One male waiter, approximately in his 40s with slicked-back hair, was consistently rude, dismissive, sharp in tone, and visibly uninterested in helping our table. His behavior affected our entire party and made us feel unwelcome. Management should seriously address his service etiquette and overall conduct toward guests. The most disappointing part was the complete lack of acknowledgment of my wife's birthday. Throughout dinner, we watched several other tables celebrating birthdays receive desserts and recognition from staff, while our table received absolutely nothing despite the restaurant being informed ahead of time. At the end of dinner, we were simply handed the bill with no acknowledgment whatsoever. My wife even turned to me and asked, 'What about my birthday?' and honestly I had no answer for her. The evening felt careless, disorganized, and poorly managed. We did not receive the seating we reserved, experienced rude service, and the special occasion we communicated in advance was completely ignored. Overall, it was a poor dining experience and not somewhere I would currently recommend."
