My filet mignon was perfectly cooked medium rare. The mushrooms were delicious and weren't too oily. Brussels sprouts had a good crunch to it but I could have done without the bacon. I loved the different sauces they had to offer! The tarragon bearnaise was a bit too vinegary for me l but I really enjoyed the red wine bordelaise sauce. The ambience was beautifully lit and perfect for a date night out. Our server was helpful and friendly.

It's been years since I've been here. Came for dinner. We didn't have reservations but they were able to seat us. Same ambience. Mood lighting. We were looking forward to have a really good steak! My husband and I ordered the Tomahawk for Two, a salad and a couple sides. Our server was nice but he rarely checked on us. Only when our salads came, when he cleared the salad plates, and next was when the steak came out. Market little gem lettuce: This isn't your typical green salad. It was more like a coleslaw with a lot of wonton strips. Not my favorite. I was hoping for more greens and less dressing. Tomahawk ribeye for two: Huge. Said it would take 45 min which was fine. We ordered it medium rare but it came out pretty rare in the middle for my liking. Although it came with rows of different salts on the cutting board, the steak itself needed flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad but I was hoping for it to be better. Love me a charred steak that's seared on the outside. Sautéed spinach: The seasoning was okay. But also too much. Truffle Fries: Fries are fries. These weren't worth the $14 price tag. I think their sweet spot is during the week for happy hour. It's also the best deal.

Celebrated an early Mother's Day and had a wonderful time. Ana was our server and she was very attentive and helpful throughout the meal. The food was great and the customer service was even better .

We went to LB Steak in San Ramon to celebrate a birthday. We were promptly greeted and seated by the charming hostess. We ordered oysters, steak tartare, filet mignon, Wagyu burgers, and a huge tomahawk steak, truffle fries and Brussels sprouts. Food was excellent as always, and Maria provided excellent service. The dining room was full but the time we left. Earlier there was a part of 12 ladies celebrating lunar New Year, so it was too lively and hard to carry on a conversation. Bishop Ranch offers a lot of parking in the parking structure, outside ground level too, and there is an option for valet parking. The food and service at both San Ramon and Santana Room were excellent, it's only a matter of choosing which location to go to.

Came over for a date night and we were genuinely impressed by the vibes and food! We arrived at 8:50 to a 9 o'clock reservation and were almost immediately sat down. After looking over the menu we ordered drinks and a bread basket for $7. The bread was definitely unique olive sourdough, regular sourdough, rosemary focaccia. The bread was decent but it didn't taste that fresh. We got our food in less than 20 minutes of ordering. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. Mac and cheese is definitely some of the best I've had from a steakhouse. This was my first time trying LBs and it's one of my favorites. I guess we got lucky with our server and it not being so busy. Everything was to our liking we were not disappointed. Definitely give them a try!!

From happy hour menu - Wagyu Slider : AMERICAN CHEESE, LETTUCE, TOMATO, MUSTARD AÏOLI ~ no longer avail as of Feb2026

Updating my review from last time there is a slight change in the happy hour menu. I've attached a picture as of February 2026. Happy Hour is now Sun to Fri 3 to 6pm. Disappointed the burger isn't on the happy hour menu anymore. The sliders looks like to be the replacement. Not quite the same ( see picture )

I visited LB Steak for a holiday end of the year team lunch. I have been to the Santana Row location years ago, but this time we went to the San Ramon location. We had a group of nine and made our reservation over the phone since the online system would not allow a party that large. We arrived right when they opened at 11:30 on a Monday. We started with appetizers and ordered the calamari and the house bread. The calamari had good texture but definitely needed more sauce. The green sauce on the plate looked nice but was not something you could really dip into. The whipped butter for the bread was very good. For my meal I ordered the boneless ribeye cooked medium with a side of bone marrow. The steak came out cooked correctly and was seasoned well. The quality was good. It was not the best steak I have had, but it was enjoyable and not chewy. The bone marrow was delicious. As a group we shared several sides which included truffle fries, mac and cheese, a loaded potato and brussels sprouts. Everything tasted good. The mac and cheese was just okay since it was a little watery and the flavor was not as rich as I prefer. Our server was polite and efficient but not very personable. He took our orders and checked in when needed but did not really engage with us. Overall LB Steak is a decent choice. It is not my top pick for a steakhouse because there are better options in the Bay Area. My manager chose it since it was centrally located for everyone on our team which worked out well. It was a good meal but not a standout experience.

Our first time visit to LB Steak came the day after Valentines. We sat in the lounge so we could take advantage of the happy hour apps and drinks. We had shrimp cocktail and calamari. Both were very good but small portions. We also ordered the Mai Tai's. For our meal we each had the fillet and our sides were baked potato, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and sauce sampler. All were very good and we enjoyed sampling the different sauces with our steak. My steak was a little overcooked but it was still very tasty. Overall the staff and ambiance were nice. We enjoyed our visit and meal.

To me, Lb Steak had the most appealing Restaurant Week offering on paper, and fortunately the execution did not disappoint. The lobster roll was the best I've had outside Maine. The steak was a ribeye, providing an exceptional value. For appetizers, you can't go wrong with a properly made Caesar salad; however, the clam chowder was forgettable. Although I cannot comment on the regular menu, I was satisfied with the quality of the Restaurant Week special. I also want to mention that out of three places I frequented for Restaurant Week, LB was the only one displaying their special. Kudos to management for taking the promotion seriously and spending the extra time to train staff!

VISIT & RESERVATION: We came here for Restaurant Week. I've dined at LB Steak several times over the last few years and was excited to try their new prix-fixe offering. When I made the reservation online, I noticed that a credit card was required to book for the Restaurant Week option, but not for the standard menu. It made me wonder why that was necessary. Since we were a group of 4, I chose the prix-fixe option since that's what we were all coming here for. When we arrived, the hostess informed me that no booth was available, even though I had requested one in the reservation notes. It seemed to be the first time she saw the note, as she did a double-take before taking us to our table, which told me the request hadn't been reviewed in advance. She gave me the option of sitting at a regular table or a half booth w/2 chairs on the other side. I declined since it would've been weird for our party of 4. We were then seated at a regular table in the main dining room. On top of that, we were only given two prix-fixe menus for our party of 4, which felt like another small oversight since they make you pick your menu in the reservation. SERVICE: Our server, Alejandro, was unfortunately neither welcoming nor attentive. Since this was the first visit for two members of our party, I felt a bit embarrassed by the lack of hospitality. Our drink order took a while to be taken, and throughout the meal, he checked on us only a few times. When he did, the interactions felt unwelcoming, rather than warm. Almost like he dreaded coming to our table and only stopped by to check off a box to say he did. The service was extremely disappointing and not consistent with past experiences here. DRINKS: Hubby loves his old fashioned so he got one of those and their ice cube with the engraving is always so impressive to us. I ordered a mocktail which was good but a tad too sweet, while the other two in our party ordered a glass of wine which they seemed to enjoy. FOOD: We all selected the prix-fixe menu. -Starter: The Caesar salad was excellent, with anchovies that added a nice touch. Someone in our group had the clam chowder, and they thought it was very good. -Entrée: My steak frites was cooked to the requested medium-rare and was tender, but lacked seasoning. In the past, LB Steak presented a tray of assorted salts, which was a nice detail, but this time I was simply given a salt shaker. The bearnaise sauce was cold and goopy. When I asked our server about it, he said it's served like that. I didn't eat it and wasn't needed. -Dessert: I chose the apple pie, which I enjoyed, though it could have been served warmer. Others in the group found it too sweet. One only ate half, and the other barely touched theirs. My husband ordered the lava cake, but it lacked the lava molten center and instead had a static, goopy chocolate filling. While less sweet in flavor compared to the apple pie, the presentation and texture were underwhelming. OVERALL IMPRESSION: Certain parts of the meal stood out, the Caesar salad in particular, but the overall experience was diminished by inattentive service, reservation quirks, and the absence of those special touches that once set LB Steak apart. It also left the impression that, because we chose the prix-fixe menu, we may not have received the same level of attentiveness as guests ordering à la carte. ADDITIONAL NOTES: There were some small but noticeable service misses: -Bread was offered, but we later learned it now carries an extra charge, unlike in past visits. -Coffee was only offered once we were already halfway through dessert, which was too late. -The credit card hold for Restaurant Week felt unnecessary, especially when paired with service that didn't meet expectations. -Earlier in the Summer, I tagged LB Steak in my Instagram stories as my husband and I had gone for Happy Hour, and they replied to my stories saying if I ever made a reservation in the future, to let them know. I did so for this visit w/the reservation details, but the message was left on "seen." LOL. Not a big deal in itself, but it felt inconsistent and odd, especially given the overall lack of attentiveness during our meal.

This is a nice restaurant with nice decor and, for a higher end restaurant, fairly reasonable prices. I ordered the NY strip and asked for medium rare. I received the toughest most overcooked steak I've had in years. Two others in my group ordered the same thing and got the same. The error probably starts from the cut -- at just about every other decent steakhouse the NY strip is a nice thick cut about 1.5 to 2 inches... This was a very thin cut, probably less than an inch thick. I guess they wanted it to look bigger in the plate. But the result is a completely overcooked steak. I didn't want to make a big deal about sending it back and waiting another 20 and ruining the mood so I just ate it. The other two in my party said exactly the same. I don't know how you can pretend to run a nice steakhouse and not know what medium rare looks like. It's not cooked completely through with almost no pink at all! I'm adding 1 star for the service, the side dishes, and desserts, which were all pretty good. Otherwise -- I'm never coming here for steak -- no way.

Best steak house in the bay and that's that... I could go on but look at the pictures... the Tomahawk is amazing, a Waygu washed old fashioned... like who is even doing that??? The service was utterly amazing, they were always on top of everything. The place is clean and classy... I can't wait to go back. 10/10 will come back.

Super dissatisfied and disappointed. Was so looking forward to trying LB as we have been wishing to for a long time now. Pros: filet cooked as requested. Cons: super small filet (better quality and larger at other places--RC) and frankly Costco. Lobster Mac n cheese with pork belly was good however lacked lobster and pork--it did have a lobster shell that almost broke my tooth. Wine was also meh. Cannot recommend and bill for 1 app, 1 glass of wine, 1 filet and Mac = $168.73!!! Yeah - NO!

A family member came from out of town, and while she was here we decided it was a good time to celebrate our mother's 94th birthday which is right around the corner. We made our reservation for 4 at 5:45p in order to get mom home before dark--being out after dark makes her anxious. This meal was especially bittersweet as mom has terminal cancer, and we all know she doesn't have many good outings left in her. Alas, it took them over 2 hours to get our entrees to us. We saw other tables sat, serve and leave before our entrees ever made it to our table. When we inquired where our food was, our waitress while friendly and pleasant, offered a vague excuse and dashed off. I couldn't tell if she forgot to load our order into the system after our salads or if the kitchen goofed up, but we were aggravated. When the food finally arrived after 8pm, one of the steaks was well done when it should have been medium rare. We asked for it be re-fired and it came back mere moments later. Great. But why in the heck did it take so long for our steaks to take so long in the first place then? We didn't dally eating our meal when it finally arrived and we left the restaurant at 8:30, well after dark. Mom was definitely anxious. We will not be back. Should this discourage you? Maybe not. This may have been a unique error. Honestly over the years of service for us, as I have said, is in the B/B- range. But consistency is key, and they have lost my trust. For the $500 we spent, we'll find other nice steak houses to spend our money at.

I was impressed that the wonderful server asked me how I wanted the salmon, as if it were a steak. My kind of place! Nothing is worse than overcooked King salmon OR a well done filet mignon! So impressive they cook fish to preference. My friend had the Black Cod and she loved her dish as well. Classy joint! Definitely going back, even though it's a bit of a drive. Worth it!

There were plenty of tables available for a Sunday afternoon, which made everything feel relaxed. Our server brought menus and thoughtfully went over a few off-menu specials. While they sounded great, we decided to start with the burrata appetizer, followed by the steak sandwich and steak frites. The burrata was incredibly fresh and flavorful--a perfect way to begin the meal. The steak frites were excellent. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the fries were topped with garlic, essentially making them delicious garlic fries. While I would have preferred the fries a bit crispier, they paired very well with the steak and were still thoroughly enjoyable. My wife loved her steak sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by how light the bread was. It held up well without feeling heavy and soaked up the steak juices nicely, especially with the table mayo. This place is definitely on the pricier side, but we don't mind paying a bit more when the food and experience deliver--and they certainly did here. We would absolutely return.

What started as simple random dinners turned into my and my husband's standing Friday night tradition at the bar with Z - and that's entirely because of the people at Revel. First things first, the food is consistently delicious. The service is unmatched. But what makes this place extraordinary is that the service doesn't stay transactional. It turns into something much more personal. It turns into family. The team has taken the time to get to know us and more importantly, they've shown genuine love and care toward our daughters. From the moment you're greeted by Lauren or Coco, you know you're in for a great experience. They are warm, welcoming, and effortlessly kind. Sidney and Daniel are truly special. They are incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and genuine in a way that cannot be taught. Our daughters, especially our youngest, absolutely adore them and ask for them by name. That kind of connection speaks volumes. And then there's Z. Our Friday nights at the Revel bar simply would not be the same without him. Z IS THE reason this became our tradition. What started as great service turned into a friendship, and now feels like family. Z has an incredibly kind heart. He is attentive, intuitive, and deeply cares about the people he serves. He notices everything, looks out for his patrons, and goes out of his way to make everyone feel safe, seen, and valued. We truly cannot say enough about him. He, too, has gotten to know our girls and makes them feel special on days we have dinner as a family. Z: you are one of a kind!!! While this review highlights a few individuals, the entire team deserves recognition. Dylan, David (our favorite lunch bartender), Giovani, Kyle, Michael (Mikey), and Kevin all contribute to making Revel such a special place.

Just stepping in lifts your spirit and creates joy. The thoughtful decor and beautiful design immediately stand out, creating a special atmosphere, even if you are simply meeting friends for lunch on a weekday. I never expected to find such a stunning restaurant tucked into a shopping strip in the heart of San Ramon. One Hour Bistro is truly a delightfull find. The same attention to detail reflected in the decor is also evident in the quality of the ingredients and the incredible flavors of each dish. Crystal glasses in a Thai restaurant? YES! They also offer mocktails which I wish I had time to try and savor. I ordered the Kao Soi Braised Short Ribs, and it was absolutely stunning; beautifully presented, generously portioned, and deeply comforting. The rich broth, tender bone-in ribs, and flavorful noodles made every bite memorable. I couldn't even finish the entire dish because I wanted to savore it slowly. The Pad See Ew was a silky, heavenly treat. The rice noodles were succulent, the vegetables were fresh, and everything was coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. If your driving through San Ramon, this is a MUST try. If you live in the area, lucky you!

Came here with friends/compatriots for a dinner after a long day of work. The ambience is great,…read morethe staff very friendly and we were seated quickly. The menu is extensive enough for most tastes, and we did order a variety of foods to test that theory! The ones we ordered and have photos for include: Pear Quesadilla (Pears, brie cheese, flour tortilla, pear chutney); Calamari Fritti; New York White Cheddar Fondue; Bishop Ranch salad (Baby greens, pear, candied walnuts, blue cheese, balsamic vinaigrette); and for dessert: Warm Pear Tart (Puff pastry, vanilla ice cream, caramel), and a Seasonal Bread Pudding. The food came quickly and hot from the kitchen - except the salad and desserts! The food was very tasty, and the pear quesadilla and fondue were favorites for the uniqueness and the taste. The fondue had sliced pears along with the bread, a great change in the usual fondue take. The salad was also liked, fresh and a good variety of tastes and textures. They subbed the dressing for ranch. The desertas were also a hit, being shared. The warm pear tart was best liked, and very sweet and traditional in taste, but the bread pudding was also a close second. The pear tart was new to us, though. The service was great, and Cesar R. took good care of us. Overall, a great time! Can't wait for another excuse to be in the area for dinner.

We came late on a Saturday evening. I tried to French onion soup and lamb shank. Both were ok but seemed to be lacking something. The servers were really friendly and I will come back again. Their wine list is reasonably priced and heavily dominant with Wagner family wines. If Belle Glos, Caymus, and friends are your jam, this is the place for you.

I learned a lesson- go with your first choice - I've been trying to practice that - I find when I do t do that- I wish I got what I wanted first . I was wanting more - and my guest got the Superfood salad with chicken- that's a huge win- it was so good - my first choice was the braised short ribs- mmmmmmmmmmmmm. I like the place. As my husband and I are both movie nerds, it was only fitting to make a reservation at the restaurant featured in the movie. Don't judge us, ha ha. The restaurant is described as a restaurant with Asian influence, and the interior reflects this. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and dimly lit, perfect for a date night. It has definitely been revamped since "Mrs. Doubtfire," but the date night aesthetic seen in the movie still remains. For drinks, I ordered the peach Bellini and my husband ordered the old fashioned. The peach Bellini was warm and sweet in a good way. My husband said his old fashioned "tasted off." For the appetizer, we ordered the charcuterie board. This is the best charcuterie we have had! The bread was toasted nicely. The brie, gouda, and manchego cheeses, as cheeses typically are ha ha, were very addicting. The apricot jam and truffle honey added nice flavors to the bread. The coppa and prosciutto meats were tender and not too salty. For our entrees, I ordered the Bridges burger medium well. It comes with herb aioli, LTO, and melted Havarti cheese, all between a toasted brioche bun. This is one of the best and juiciest burgers I've ever had! It was cooked to perfection, the cheese perfectly melted, and the bun both crispy and fluffy. The herb aioli was not overpowering and added just the right amount of "herbiness." My husband ordered the grilled pork chop, which comes with an apple chutney, applewood smoked bacon, collard greens, parmesan cheese grits, and a red wine demi glace. I tried his entree. As someone who doesn't really care for pork chops in general, I loved this one. It was very tender and juicy and the apply chutney was a delicious accompaniment. The cheese grits were well-cooked and seasoned, which pleased this Southern girl's heart. The red wine sauce was thick and a nice touch to the pork. For dessert, we ordered the molten chocolate cake. Unfortunately, there was no "lava" in the center, but the cake itself was very gooey and rich and the vanilla gelato offered by our waitress added an extra layer of creaminess and decadence! Our waitress was super nice and kept smiling the entire time, adding to this incredible dining experience. The other wait staff that assisted us were no different. As fans of the movie "Mrs. Doubtfire," we thank you for a delicious and wonderful dining experience! It was worth the 1+ hour drive!!!
