Chicken cobb salad
Motoko D.

I had a chicken cobb salad for $14. The portion was huge, enough for two. It came with a white chocolate cookie. The lake view is so nice. I wish this place was opened on weekends!

$12 for a tri-tip, big portion with 2 sides. Nice. great place to have lunch beside the lake and enjoy the sun. staffs are friendly and quick service.

A-Ok lunch. Still love what they have to offer and the location is great. Staff and service is super friendly. Only down side was my steak was over cooked. Out of all the Roundhouse restaurants, this one is my favorite. Feels fresh and the complimentary cookie is a sweet treat!

I'm shocked at how good this place was. It's tucked in by the Bishop Ranch Lake, at the "Roundhouse". I've walked by many times, but finally came to try today! It's always very busy inside around lunchtime, as employees are on their lunch breaks. Cool that regular passerby can dine in/to go too! There's a huge amount of both indoor and outdoor seating, you'll always find a seat. Ordering process is pretty simple- order at the register, then show your receipt and pay when they call out your name. Our order took less than 5 minutes to prepare. The prices are amazing (for San Ramon, at least). We ordered a tri-tip salad and a tri-tip plate with broccoli and potatoes, with both meals being $12 each. The portion size is very large, and it's plated very gourmet, with a free cookie. The tri-tip was good, but pretty plain. Didn't bother me too much, I enjoyed mine with mustard, and the plate came with a yummy sauce. They didn't ask how we'd like it cooked, and it was pretty inconsistent. My salad's meat was mainly well-done, whereas the plate was more medium. Overall super impressed! The workers were all super nice, the meal was satisfying, and I couldn't be happier with the price and portion size. I'll be back to try the sandwiches!

Steak Plate comes with roasted potatoes and arugula

I've been eating here every day for lunch this summer, and I am still impressed that the Steak Plate is under $10. It definitely tasted like it was more. Most days the steak is cooked to a perfect medium rare. Other days it is over cooked. Overall, it's more hits than misses. I've tried the Teriyaki Chicken plate as well as their Burger, and it's also a hit or miss. Ask for your burger bun toasted and it will taste a million times better. My friends enjoy the Tomato Bisque side soup, while I like the homemade potato chips or roasted potatoes. I find the salad sides too bitter to be enjoyable. The weekly specials are also a huge hit or miss for me. Some weeks I can't even eat it, while other weeks I can't get enough. All in all, Bishop Farms is overall the best choice in Roundhouse Cafe, but inconsistent quality!

The BR1 location just opened yesterday 07/17/19 and their "system" is down. Can't even get a morning coffee. Two thumbs way down.

We shared sliders, truffled fries and crispy calamari plus we each got a Mai Tai. The portions were decent for HH. The drinks were strong even though it was HH pricing. It was a Friday evening, but not busy. We were able to get a table in their HH area right away. We had to flag down our waitress a few times, but maybe that's just HH service. To start on a positive note, our server Mike was attentive and provided good service throughout the evening. However, the food quality did not meet expectations, especially given that our meal was nearly $400. * The sautéed white gulf prawns were average * The salads were fine * The boneless ribeye (ordered medium rare) came out rare and was very fatty/gristly * The hamburger was dry * The petite filet was undercooked (rare instead of medium rare) * The lobster was overcooked and chewy * Sides were acceptable but did not make up for the issues with the main dishes There was also confusion about lobster availability when ordering, which added to the inconsistency of the experience. This was meant to be a meaningful birthday dinner, which made the experience especially disappointing. I did try to contact the restaurant directly through their website form and by calling multiple times but have not received any response. Based on past visits, we expected much better and hope the restaurant improves its quality and consistency.

"Wow, fantastic venue, fantastic beer selection!"…read more It's been quite a while since I've patronized this restaurant and I had to give it another try. We came early Sunday afternoon. Parking is easy and there's plenty of spaces for a disabled person in a wheelchair. Our server, Alex, was especially professional and courteous. She really made this a good meal for us. She was helpful in ordering suggestions and came back often to check on us. A+ service! On a beautiful, cool winter afternoon, my wife and I sat in the dining room; my wife ordered the taco plate and I ordered the pear pomegranate salad. Both were promptly served up and were absolutely delicious. Naturally, I had to order a beer. I ordered the award-winning Brown ale. Absolutely fantastic! Don't tell anyone, but they only charge $6 for pints. Thank you for the great service and great menu. Now if you could only bring back the hops growing on the wall everything would be perfect.

I got the green jacket burger which was a cheeseburger piled high with crispy onion straws, bacon and an ipa bbq sauce. I opted for the spicy sauce that had a nice kick to it! I paired it with their lager beer (since they don't have Coors light) and it made a great lunch paired with some crispy fries!

They take reservations so be sure to take advantage of that when coming. The service across the board was great, the host who worked with me to make our reservation for a larger party was so nice and the staff the day of were incredible. The team worked quick to serve us and make sure we had a wonderful time. On the food front, everything was great. I got their grilled salmon special which I hope becomes a mainstay on their menu, as it was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh and packed with flavors. Their French onion soup was good, and so was their clams appetizer. I'd also recommend saving room for dessert, as all of their pastry items were very tasty too. Overall this is a great spot to check out if you're in the area, the food is great and so is the service!

Came here with friends/compatriots for a dinner after a long day of work. The ambience is great,…read morethe staff very friendly and we were seated quickly. The menu is extensive enough for most tastes, and we did order a variety of foods to test that theory! The ones we ordered and have photos for include: Pear Quesadilla (Pears, brie cheese, flour tortilla, pear chutney); Calamari Fritti; New York White Cheddar Fondue; Bishop Ranch salad (Baby greens, pear, candied walnuts, blue cheese, balsamic vinaigrette); and for dessert: Warm Pear Tart (Puff pastry, vanilla ice cream, caramel), and a Seasonal Bread Pudding. The food came quickly and hot from the kitchen - except the salad and desserts! The food was very tasty, and the pear quesadilla and fondue were favorites for the uniqueness and the taste. The fondue had sliced pears along with the bread, a great change in the usual fondue take. The salad was also liked, fresh and a good variety of tastes and textures. They subbed the dressing for ranch. The desertas were also a hit, being shared. The warm pear tart was best liked, and very sweet and traditional in taste, but the bread pudding was also a close second. The pear tart was new to us, though. The service was great, and Cesar R. took good care of us. Overall, a great time! Can't wait for another excuse to be in the area for dinner.
