Our party of three visited for lunch at noon on a Thursday. Since we had a reservation, we were seated immediately at a lovely table right by the window. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were incredibly courteous and friendly throughout our meal. We initially thought about starting with some small plates, but we were so eager for seafood that we jumped straight into the entrees. We weren't disappointed: Bouillabaisse: This was our first time trying this dish, and it was the highlight for us. It was incredibly flavorful--exactly what we were craving. Spicy Prawn Mac and Cheese: It definitely lived up to its name! It wasn't "blow-your-head-off" hot, but it had a perfect, noticeable kick that really elevated the dish. Blackened Cod Tacos: These were fantastic. The cod was perfectly prepared and worked so well with the rest of the taco ingredients. We also enjoyed a couple of non-alcoholic drinks that hit the spot, though I'll admit that since I'm writing this a couple of weeks later, I forgot to snag photos or the specific names of the drinks! They also have a really nice patio area if you prefer dining outdoors. Whether you're a seafood lover or just looking for a great meal with a view, this place is a must-visit!

For the nature of the restaurant, we had hoped for our waitress to be more friendly and genuine. However, it felt like they just wanted to fulfill our order and be done. I ordered the South Sound Clams and Snapper Sandwich. Bathing in an umami-packed and rich Thai curry broth, the clams were tender and fresh with a bit of brine. Very good and shareable with one other person. The snapper sandwich wowed me! The bright escovitch and creamy avocado paired wonderfully with the snapper. Every bite was delightful. The house-made potato chips, however, were disappointing. They were thin, not crispy, and sticking to my teeth. If you can, substitute for fries or salad. Despite our subpar service, the delicious, well-priced food and beautiful scenery still make this the perfect date spot.

I'm from Texas (so I know good BBQ) and my wife is from Georgia. When we heard there was a Southern…read moreBBQ place on this island while we were visiting we had to check it out. Food: Very good food. I ordered the brisket plate with creamed corn (brisket 9/10. Good flavor, good ring on it and flavorful + it wiggles which a good brisket slice should. Corn was pretty sweet but good). My only issue as a Southern spot it please include a slice of bread (white or texas toast + pickles with the meat plates.) the bbq is a homemade bbq sauce thats sooo darn good! Id buy a bottle or two! My wife ordered a brisket sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The brisket sandwhich was of course good with a buttery bun. The coleslaw (was lacking good flavor; not a fan personally). The fries were frozen fries and descent. We also had hush puppies; pretty good. Service: AMAZING service from Mia. Such a sweetheart and gem. She helped us make good picks from the menu. Ambiance: a very large building! When we went it was empty and during early day. Very clean, clean bathrooms and music playing. The look/feel gives more "country" vs southern. I was expecting to hear southern soul vibes on the music, and photos or items throughout that gave "southern bbq vibes". A dope touch would be dope photos of black or southern cowboys, and etc. lots of opportunity for a real down south vibe to be created. Overall- very pleased. I hope they have another 50+ years of business while stay true to their southern roots. Love love lovee

We also ordered the peach cobbler and didn't find out until after picking it up that it was sold out but was still charged for it. I also requested utensils and there weren't any included in either bag. The food was good, the pulled pork had good flavor especially with the pickles and onions and bbq sauce. The beans were sweet, the mac n cheese needed a little salt, the potato casserole was good, the hush puppies were dry and the quesadilla was good when dropped in the bbq sauce.

Pulling up the front of the restaurant, the smell of that wood burning made my mouth water. I…read morereally wanted this to be THE BBQ spot. Unfortunately, it fell a little short. that wood smell really didn't translate into the flavor of the meat. Looking at the menu, I always want to go to some 2 or 3 meat combo so I can taste all the good options. Unfortunately, that option didnt exist. So the wife and I were going to go with three meals. With 3 meals @ $20 a pop, I was expecting to bring some home, but that wasn't the case. Went up to the counter where you need to oder, and got brisket with bbq beans, pulled pork with Mac salad, and rib....wait what's this...pork belly rib for $12.50....yea please let's go with that instead of the ribs. Getting the pork belly was the best decision we made. In fact if I ordered right now again I would order 3 orders of pork belly and nothing else. Yes, part of the reason is that the pork belly was good (reason for 3 instead of 1 or 2 stars). The other reason is that the other food was not all that great. The brisket was a little dry, I have had a lot worse, but for some fatty cuts, it shouldn't have been as dry as it was. My wife loves pulled pork, but she didn't really eat much of this one. It was moist, but artificially so....to the extreme...it wasn't the nature juices and maybe that dilluted the smoke flavor. It was like mush. The sides? Well go to any store deli and you will know what they taste like...sure seems these came out of those big plastic tubs.

It took 10 minutes to be noticed at the front checkout counter we ordered and then we waited 25 minutes at the front checkout counter rather than in our car because we weren't told it would be that long, and then we got our food and opened it up and it was cold . $85 for 2 . Didnt want to tip , but I did. Not going back .
