Pork rib, pulled pork taco, Mac and cheese, corn slaw, cole slaw

My husband and I placed an order to go and it was simply amazing! The inside was super cute and the people working there were very nice. My husband and I ordered a few items and split them as we wanted to try a few different things. They were sadly out of the brisket, so we split the pork ribs and the pulled pork tacos. The pork ribs were super tender and delicious but the pulled pork tacos were SO delicious, I was absolutely blown away. We got corn slaw, coleslaw, corn bread & mac and cheese as our sides. Everything was great except I felt like the Cole slaw was a little too vinegary and not sweet enough for my liking. This place is seriously 10/10!

The food slaps every-time. We have never had a bad experience there and have tried multiple different menu items and daily specials.

Amazing bbq in Bow WA! The staff is super friendly. The food comes out fast and the tacos are well prepared. Ample seating and a really fun place.

Now, this is real BBQ. As you drive up, the building screams "BBQ". I mean , rustic timber building with large front porch, smoke billowing from the large smoker sitting outside. I have been to hundreds of BBQ places that look like this (OK, maybe only 57). It made my heart race (gastronomically speaking of course). What a great start! The brisket was very good, pleasantly charred and still moist. The pork ribs were great... nice smoke ring with pink inside. The meat pulled perfectly off the bone when slight tugged. I was a little disappointed with the Mac & cheese though. It was too dry (not creamy at all) and I wasn't a fan of the cheese used. And the macaronies were too large, which resulted in too much Mac and not enough cheese. One item they should offer is brewed iced tea. If you look up the definition of "BBQ", it clearly states that real iced tea is to be offered. With a handful of minor refinements, this place could be stellar. Of course I will be back.

We've only been there twice, with mixed reviews. I like it. That said, some stuff has been delicious, other stuff has been "meh". Brando's has been a name here in the valley for several years now and is a typical BBQ joint without all of the peanut shells all over the floor. Small, but nicely done interior, super clean, country music. Decent menu covers most of the BBQ joint basics with plates, sides, sandwiches, good selection of drinks, and daily specials. Staff are super friendly and helpful. To-go style plating and silverware so you can dump all your stuff in the trash when you're heading out, the trash bin is located right next to the door. Don't leave your stuff all over the tables when you leave, that's just rude to the staff and when it's busy, other guests have to stand and wait while the table is bussed and wiped down. I'd love to give them another star, but so far, much of the food is "meh" by my own standards of BBQ. Wagyu Cheeseburger? Excellent. Wagyu ground beef, tender and juicy, perfect medium/medium well, melty cheese, and a delicious tangy sauce . Brisket? Beautiful smoke ring, juicy, tender, surprisingly little smoke flavor, slightly overcooked so it tasted like pot roast. Not much seasoning or bark. The plates with a slice of white bread is something you don't see much around here. I love it! Mac and cheese? Tasty, made with penne and good cheese flavor. The only downside is it gets cold quickly and everything sticks together, but that's Mac and cheese for ya... Beans? Delicious. Tangy BBQ sauce flavor, firm beans, and IIRC, some bits of bacon. Chicken? Pretty good, nice and tender. Loaded baked potato is pretty good. BBQ sauce with the brisket was WAY too sweet, the Alabama white sauce was good. The sauce on the Wagyu cheeseburger was the best. I don't know if they have other options for the plates. *burp*

Everything was good, but the ribs and pulled pork loaded mac and cheese were at the very tippy top epsilon of BBQ I've had spanning from Texas, North Carolina or anywhere in between! 5 star service, very family feeling. Really excited to see how they expand and refine their interior!

Still on my BBQ tour of western Washington, was told about Brando's out on Chuckanut in Bow. This place won't disappoint, ordered a variety of items. Great brisket, tender and juicy not over cooked. Ribs had a great smoke flavor, rub is awesome. The sides were amazing as well, mac-n-cheese, beans, the slaw, take your pick. I live close, this will be a regular stop for me.

What a great place for lunch or dinner. Food was amazing. Staff super friendly and welcoming. This will definitely be a place we frequent often. Even has hubby's favorite beers!! Some of the best BBQ meat we have ever had!!

Best bbq ribs ever. Brisket was perfect. Our favorite side was Mac and cheese but we only tried two of several. Go there.

Excellent brisket sandwich and great homemade side dishes. Sauce was not straight Bbq sauce and it didn't give me heartburn!

We hit this casino restaurant before seeing a concert here. It's just OK. Limited seating. It's…read moresmack dab in the center of the casino so don't expect solitude. Walk up order and to get your food so no service. The carne asada fries were probably the best of what we ordered. They are a massive serving! The taco plate was a little under whelming. The chicken salad came in a huge fried tortilla bowl, so again very massive, but the taste was very, not sure how best to describe, American? I think the processed cheese on it and how the chicken was cooked and prepared (shredded meat). Probably not the best dinner but if you are there several hours and hungry it will do the job. Oh and the $1 charge for salsa is off putting.

I was hiking up above Lake Samish got back to the car and needed something to eat. So, onto Yelp…read moreand found this place 8 minutes south. Reviews seemed promising so,I hit the freeway and cruised down. Pulled into the parking lot. It's in a casino, so be prepared to have your senses assaulted when you walk in...especially after a peaceful hike thru the forest. Made my way back, looked at the menu and decided to do the street tacos with the asada upgrade. Paid the admittedly not cheap price, I declined the SIX DOLLAR chips and $1 hot sauce...I have home made salsa verde waiting. The tacos arrived reasonably quickly and I made my escape from the cacophony of lights and sounds assaulting my brain. Glanced at the tacos ensconced in my take out box and sure enough.. 3 street tacos...and headed back home to Bellingham. Upon arrival home the tacos were removed and plated. Another reviewer mentioned they were very generous with the meat and they were not kidding...they were utterly stuffed to overflowing with steak. Accompanying them was fresh jalapeños, some lime wedges, and some sliced radishes. It looked really promising. On with the home made salsa verde and the consumption began...and so did the disappointment. The tortillas...good...the veggies...good and fresh...the meat...plentiful...and...tasteless. Yeah, as much meat as there was, and it was somewhat decently prepared, at least it wasn't tough. But, it was also not juicy...just utterly, disappointingly bland. It's like somebody made the meat but completely forgot to season it. No butter, no salt, no pepper, no sauce...just...pretty much tasteless meat. I didn't pay $16 to get utility protein. What a disappointment. This could be epic...it could be THE go to place for post hike tacos. It could be the street taco pilgrimage spot. But all I got was...meh. Just a little change in the way they cook the asada and I'll make the drive and pay the price...well, not $6 for chips...but I'd pay the asking it the steak was good. Frankly, Chipotle is better and that's not saying much. I really had high hopes. But as of now, sorry, until somebody learns how to cook steak, cannot recommend.
