You order at the register when you enter and they deliver food to your table. Fixings (onion slices, pickles, bbq sauces, etc) available by the self serve fountain drinks. We had a brisket grilled cheese (came with fries and slaw) and a pulled pork sandwich. The fries weren't too crispy but good. Coleslaw was ok... The dressing flavor was different than I've had elsewhere in slaw. And the pork was juicy and barely needed sauce. Original sauce was my fave. Happy we got the chance to try this place after driving back from camping near Mount Baker. We were very happy with the quality of the BBQ and flavor, it gave what it was supposed to give. The platter was enough for two of us, and we loved the fried pickles, yum. There were people here who had just been hiking, campers, local families, elderly, etc..it was a good mix of fellow patrons, so i'd say it's safe to come here for most occassions. The bathrooms were super clean, as well as most of the restaurant. The servers were all super friendly and efficient. There wasn't much of a wait to be seated, and they have peanuts. The atmosphere was good, but as far as food goes everything we had was marginal, at best. Everything in there references Texas BBQ and being a Texan, I can assure you this would be considered inedible in TX. For what we received, it was pricey. For good Texas BBQ, it would have been reasonably priced. The brisket seemed to be sliced from the flat side which should be chopped, the pork sandwich tasted like a sloppy Joe, the fries were burned, the okra was a weird texture and not fully cooked, the cornbread was dry and tasteless. Found this gem on our way back from a whale watch in Bellingham, and the southern hospitality was evident despite our arrival as a party of 6 just 30 minutes before closure. The atmosphere and decor were simply outstanding, giving a small town southern vibe that's rare in WA. I came here for breakfast as it was one of the few places to actually open at 7 am on Sunday. I cleared the border from canada early and actually got here 15 mins before 7 am. So I waited in the parking lot and they did open on time. I was the first customer. I ordered at the counter and then got a table. Food would be brought over but it was self service for coffee at the counter. I loved the Western decor and layout, including the peanut shells on the ground. Very country indeed. The washroom was also one of the nicest and cutest I had seen. As it was so early and I usually skipped breakfast, I had a single biscuit and gravy (half order I think) and added brisket. It was so delicious! Brisket was tender and flavorful with crispy bits at the end. The single biscuit was just nice for me. I would want to try the lunch or dinner menu where the full on bbq food would be served. They also have frozen food to go so you can reheat at home. Friendly staff too. Recommended! read more

I ordered the baby back ribs to go, sat and had a beer, the owners wife dropped a foil wrapped package on the counter and walked away, no big deal. I got home and unwrapped them, they were cheaper St Louis style ribs, not baby backs, tough with the acrid taste you get when your fires not burned down properly, I will never go there again read more

I got the sliced brisket sandwich with a side of vegetables and Mac and cheese. The brisket was a good mix of a lean and fat. My husband got the double barrel which is an open faced sandwich with chopped brisket on one side, pulled pork on the other and comes with a rib. The mac and cheese is creamy!! They have a variety of bbq sauces, banana peppers and pickles that are self serve. The sandwiches do not come with sauce on them so you can choose which sauce and how much of it to put on them. There's also free salted peanuts you can eat. The owners and staff are very friendly! Can't wait to come back and try some more things. read more
