THIS PIZZA IS AMAZING. My co-worker and I were in town for business and found this place on Yelp. Yelp did us a solid recommending this place for lunch. Their menu is expansive with a lot of amazing creations and then some basic choices for those less adventurous. Let me just say this. DO NOT SKIP THE CHEESEBREAD BALLS AS AN APPETIZER. When I say I dream about them, I am not exagerating. Unfortunately, I live 2 hours south of this location so I won't be able to get them again any time soon. But, maybe that is a good thing because I would probably gain 10 lbs in a month eating them if I lived close by.. They are sooooooooooo good. The pizza was delicious. I was in Sedro Woolley and was ready for dinner. I Yelped places and Coconut Kenny's caught my eye. Once I got there I had great service. You order at the counter and I explained to the employee that it was my first time there so he gave me a quick rundown on the menu. They bake their own bread for the sandwiches and they cook to order so the pizzas might take about 20 minutes. I took a menu to my table and then placed my order back at the counter. They offer pizzas and sandwiches and salads. I chose the Big Kahuna Pizza which is basically Meat Lovers combo with everything on it. My favorite type. They have 2 sizes with the 7" personal pizza being the one I picked. The other is a 12" size. They are known for their crispy cheesy crusts. This type of pizza reminds me a lot of the Detroit Style pizzas. The pizzas look really small when presented but they fill you right up. They are perfect for one person. Mine was loaded with toppings and the crispy cheesy crust was excellent. The same nice male employee I spoke to earlier came by to check on me and how I was liking my food and then he told me about the original owner Kenny who got the idea for this place from Hawaii (hence the tropical theme throughout). Kenny had a location in Bellingham when he sold it and the new owners have been busy expanding their footprint South. While there I saw a lot of takeout orders which seems to be a big part of their business. I like Coconut Kenny's and hope they keep expanding further South so I can try it more frequently. read more

Although she was "helping out" from her base location (Coconut Kenny's Burlington), she was friendly, attentive and engaging. We have been practicing Extreme Social Distancing for well over 300 days, hence my lack of reviews. Finally I couldn't stand it any more; I HAD to have a pizza. Coconut Kenny's have always been my favorite, and I'm not going to compromise just to get delivery. So I got the menu online, called them, and ordered my favorite, the Huki Huki, paid over the phone, and went to pick it up minutes later. (I could have done this on their app, and promise I will download it soon). I called when I got there, and they quickly brought it out and put it in the cargo area, masked up, no contact. Yay! I drove home, opened the recyclable box, and dug in. Ohhhh, yeah! Still the best pizza I have ever eaten. I even got a Happy Hour discount for ordering before 5:00 - how awesome is that? On a Sunday night closing in on 9 pm, we starved hikers were hoping for a bite to tide us over on the drive home. 30 minutes before closing, I called this local pizza place and they were willing to fill my takeout order: 1 small (7") Tahiti MI (creamy sauce veggie) pizza, add kalua pork. The cost was just over $11, which was a bit pricier for such a tiny pizza, but I was intrigued by the Hawaiian theme of the place, the unique toppings and the cheese crust pizza. The interior is really cute and nails that kitschy touristy Hawaiian vibe. The place is spacious and they have social distancing markers, masks required, hand sanitizer, and cleaning of tables after guests as COVID safety measures. The cashier who took my order was very friendly. Bathrooms were very clean and decorated to the Hawaiian theme too. The pizza was fresh and thick. Somewhat deep dish but not Chicago style deep dish. More BJ's style deep dish. The crust was crisp as promised. Toppings were ample. I personally was drawn to how this veggie pizza offered unique toppings: creamy marinara sauce, banana peppers, feta, spinach, tomatoes, balsamic glaze. The kalua pork was a soft and juicy and added an extra hint of umami to the pizza. My guy was still hungry after the tiny pizza but it was a good pizza. We've eaten at this location several times with family. While not my favorite pizza in the world, it is pretty tasty and one of the few thick crusts I like; plentiful toppings too. I deducted one star only because they are a little expensive for what you get. A large pizza is only 12", even smaller than a large Dominos and much smaller than our local pizzeria's 18" pies, with a cost between $18-21, for one of their signature pies. What I will commend them for is customer service/satisfaction. On our last visit they mixed up the order between my wife's pizza and the adjoining table. The only difference in the pies was one came with shredded chicken and the other, shredded pork. It's kinda hard to tell the two apart after cooking in the oven. Anyway, a few minutes after delivering the pizzas the server came out and stated he'd made a mistake and would make two new pizzas at no additional charge and we could take them home since they're already been half eaten. Hawaiian Meets Italian This is a Hawaiian themed pizza place. Overall it was nice. You seat yourself and have to go to the counter to order your food which they bring to your table. Our salads were the normal salads--nothing special for a salad that was a bit pricey. They have a small selection of beer on draft. The pizza was very good with fresh ingredients, although ours would have been better with more sauce. The crust was nice and crispy, but not too crispy. I wasn't a fan of the cheese balls nor did I care for the cinnamon balls. The latter were too dry and tasted strangely. The servers were nice and we enjoyed the country music--no hip hop. read more

The food is very yummy here. I highly recommend the Cheesy Balls (made with Hawaiian bread!). The meatballs are good appetizers as well. I also ordered Da King Mahalo sandwich (ordered the half sandwich, which was still a big portion), which was very good. To round out the meal, we got the Cinnamon Balls (Hawaiian bread covered in sugar and cinnamon and a few scoops of ice cream). The servers were very friendly. Just keep in mind, the servers don't come to the table to take your order, you need to go up to the booth to order food and drinks. We ate here on a Saturday afternoon so there wasn't a huge crowd of people but the place looked big enough and there were lots of tables. We were stranded here because our car broke down, so we were walking downtown and stumbled by this place. The atmosphere is awesome! I like the vibe, it reminded me a little of our trip to Hawaii. Also I like that there aren't waiters, you order at the counter. There are quite a few options for vegetarians, besides just a normal veggie pizza (which gets boring). My boyfriend had the Tahiti Mi, and I had the Mack Attack with no bacon. The pizza was so good! We also got the cheese balls, which I wouldn't recommend. My husband and I were on our way to camp and stopped in downtown S-W. I was craving pizza and whattya know - a pizza joint right in town. I have to say I was sketched out walking into Coconut Kenny's. The tacky "hawaiian" themed decor... and don't even get me started on pineapple and pizza... But the pizza here is REALLY REALLY GOOD. Nothing was really jumping out at me with the specialty pizzas, so we ordered a Large pizza with bacon, mushrooms and olives. Simple and amazing. I feel like the pizza was pretty thick, but not bready at all. There wasn't really a crust, or maybe there was but it was the same thickness as the rest of the pizza? It was slightly burnt and cheesy, but I feel like that doesn't really do it justice. The ratio of bread to toppings was perfect. Great flavor. I am just in love with this pizza and so was my hubby. Two words that I always use when referring people to Coconut Kenny's are Reliable and OK. That's probably a compliment that any chain wouldn't scoff at receiving. And sometimes Reliable and OK is all you need, you know? The restaurant is always clean and the service is always friendly. If you go during Happy Hour hours the discount makes things even Ok'er. Loved the Hawaiian theme (since we were married in Hawaii!). I had the Da King Mahalo sandwich and loved it. Husband had the Da Hang 10 sandwich and totally enjoyed the meatballs. The bread is to die for! Next time we would add jalapenos to add a little kick to our meal and only order HALF sizes ~ the sandwiches are huge. It was nice to pay under $4 for a full glass of wine. Stopped by here on a snowy Saturday evening after a day of shopping in My Vernon, cause we heard the food was worth it. Not too crowded for a Saturday evening dine in, but they were doing a booming takeout business. Anyway, ordered the Spicy Hawaiian pizza, and a half order of cheese balls. Usually, I can down a half a pizza, but after the cheese balls (delish), I was held to 2 pieces. Very cheesy pizza with a delicious crunchy crust. It was good. Sandwiches also looked very good. So after scanning yelp we decided to give this place a try, and we're not disappointed. We called in an order to take back to our hotel, since I wasn't up to gracing their presence with our 5 hungry, grumpy children under 8. We got a large Waikiki and a gluten free Hawaiian for my wife and son. The Waikiki was amazing! But even more so, my wife could not get enough of the gluten free option. TLDR: bad customer service, long wait times, cold forgotten pizza with icky congealed cheese... The food is great, the service was miserable. The girl working was rude and stupid, and refused to bring my food to me, instead making the cashier bring it out instead. I actually heard the argument over who would bring out my food. She was rude to several customers before me, so I don't think her issues lay with me. My order, placed to go, sat on the counter for at least 10 minutes before the cashier finally brought it out for me, and by that point it was cold. Bad employees overall. Update: returned again and was forgotten. We waited over an hour for our food, finally went and asked what was going on. Turns out they had forgotten our pizza under the heat lamp for 40 minutes. They tried giving it to us anyway, and we refused and demanded our money back. Went to tequila azteca instead. Great service there, and super yummy margaritas. read more
