These guys catered a wedding i went to, to me best part of the wedding. The smokey meat, the great humor of the staff was great. They won me over read more

My husband went here for lunch and he was told they were out of everything except pulled pork sandwiches. He said ok sounds good I'll have that and the man working said I will only charge you $4. My husband said the food was not very good and beans tasted straight from a can. When we looked at our bank acct the next day we were charged almost $16 by this company after we were told it would only be $4. We called company and the man we spoke to denied that he gave him a deal and said he would not give money his money back and said he can come get another sandwich. We didn't want another sandwich we just wanted the extra $10 he charged us back. Just a horrible experience overall. Was hoping for a good local place to eat and was let down in more than 1 way. read more

This is the best Q in Bellingham. Pork ribs, pork or beef sandwiches, and four sides (baked pork and beans, coleslaw, corn muffins and baked potatoes form the basic menu, with various other offerings popping up now and then. We had the ribs, pork sandwich, coleslaw, baked potatoes, corn muffins and baked beans, served up with a generous helping of BBQ sauce. The slaw was great, with a wonderful piquant dressing. The ribs and pork were also excellent, except that I thought the pork could have used some more smoke. The baked potato and baked beans were fine, and the corn muffin was great. I'm giving it only four stars because I thought the BBQ sauce could have been spicier. It had the right amount of sugar, but not enough spice for my taste. Perhaps they have a spicier one- I didn't think to ask. Still, this is a great place to pick up some Q. Can't wait to try their chicken and brisket, which they cook from time to time. read more

Bare Bones BBQ was featured among several food trucks at our annual block party and car show in Fairhaven. I was excited to see them there as I've been wanting to try them. I chose the chicken sandwich with caesar salad...great for a hot day! The chicken melts in your mouth, add extra sauce as you like. Others at my table had beef sandwiches and ribs and were all raving. They did run out of food early, but I don't hold that against them. It was getting towards the end of the party and they were the most popular truck. read more

Best Bar B Q in Bellingham! Owners are easy going. I'm glad that they relocated closer, I will be stopping by whenever I feel like some ribs

I don't care what anyone says this is hands down the best place for BBQ! I have never been disappointed with the quality of food. No place in town even comes close! read more

Good BBQ, good sauces but several sides were not available when we were in on a Saturday at lunchtime. For those complaining that it's dry...yes. It's dry. It's supposed to be dry! That's why you use the sauce. Can't say I was wild about the cole slaw, will try something else next time. Cashier was very pleasant and super nice, but recommendation to the back of the house staff is that you watch what you say. Customers can hear your remarks, so make sure they are "ready for primetime", as they say. read more

I had the pulled pork, beef, and beans for lunch. I'm a stickler for BBQ, especially true Texas brisket and southern pork butt. I did not try the ribs or chicken. The two guys working the food truck were very friendly and hard working, and the aroma from the smokers was very promising. There was a line of enthusiastic regulars, so obviously a lot of folks like the food. The portion sizes were generous, and the price was in line with the competition. For my tastes, however, the food was bland. Neither the pork shoulder nor the beef (tri-tip, per the owner) had any significant smoke flavor. Both were served chopped---too finely chopped for my taste. Both were dry, especially the pork. The beef was a bit gristly, not necessarily a bad thing, but at the same time dry and bland. The only smoke flavor was in the BBQ sauce. I'm of the school that says sauce is unnecessary on really well smoked meat, but these meats needed sauce to make up for the flaws. The beans had generous chunks of meat, but were also very bland. These guys work hard and say they source their meats locally, so it's good to see them doing such a brisk business. read more

If dry flavorless ribs are your thing, stop and see these guys.

Beef was dry and pork was dry I had a hard time choking it down .baked beans were runny cole slaw was odd and off. then after the owner loudly in front of every one in the store said that my girlfriends card did not go through. But she used cash ...it was the guy in front of her that used a card. He said he didn't care that he embarrassed her . and he has so many people that go there that it doesn't matter to him how he treats his customers. I am embarrassed for the shell station to have such a bad business partner in there store..sorry tony the tiger.. read more

Worst BBQ I've ever had. The pulled pork was 90% fat and grissle and that's not an exaggeration. Ihad to thrpw itt away it wasnt even edible. Plus they have no idea how.to season their meat. read more

Delicious smoked meat sandwiches! Friendly great service! Definitely a go back!

I have been spoiled with excellent BBQ. My husband and his whole family know how to smoke excellent ribs, brisket, chicken and all that good stuff. I tried several items from Bare Bones and did not like any of it. The "pulled" pork is not pulled but chopped with all the fat still in there. I bit into that and it ruined my appetite really quick. Same with the brisket. We had so much left over and this was the first time my husband ever said he passes on it. The coleslaw was tasteless, cabbage and mayo does not make coleslaw. We have never been back. read more
