My go to drink every where is a London fog. I drink at least one every day with oatmilk and sugar free vanilla. I ordered this exact drink here and it was incredible. I had to go ask what brand tea they use Steven Smith tea maker is the brand. It's so yummy!! Friendly staff, they gave us the wrong kind of egg bites the first time and it wasn't a hassle to have it fixed. You can order to go orders at the back walk up window. We came here for their food, and didn't order coffee. It's a great location being right next to the ferry line and a great view to watch the cars drive off the ferry boat. It can get busy so be wary of time if you're ordering right before you're supposed to get onto the ferry. It says it's dog friendly on Yelp, but I wasn't sure if that meant inside or outside only. I asked the barista while my husband waited with the dog outside, and the barista sounded kind of hesitant or super enthused on dogs inside so we decided to just have him outside while we ordered food and ate in our car. We're not people that must have their dogs everywhere but noticed the town was super dog friendly, so we thought we double check. It was cold so we didn't eat on their patio. But if the weather was warm it could have been great! I got the lox bagel and it was delicious. Generous amount of cream cheeses. My husband got their pesto bowl, and he said it lacked seasoning and it needed at least more salt and pepper and it was kind of small. read more

You can order inside or outside at a window. There's tables both inside the cafe and outside depending on your preference. Inside, they had not only Salty Fox Coffee merchandise for sale but also items from local artists. I asked about the pineapple green tea and I appreciated their honesty in how they haven't tried it. The chai is soooooo good (if you like a little spice!) I should have gotten a larger one. Been here many times over the years--always for coffee or tea but never for the food, which looks great. We like to sit outside on the sweet little patio / deck for views, conversations or just sitting outside with a great cup of coffee or London Fog. I was not expecting to find something that good here in Friday Harbor. The matcha was bitter - like nice bitter. They definitely put too much of sugar, I would have preferred less. Stopped here before the ferry came (super great location) and glad I did! I got the matcha lemonade which is something I've never seen before. It slightly tasted like matcha and liked how refreshing it was (but think I'd just order the regular lemonade or a latte next time). I also got the "everything cookie" which has coconut, chocolate chips, and macadamia nuts. The cookie was delicious but a bit too sweet and can easily be shared. They have a few local products such as cups and cards they sell and a decent amount of seating! If you're waiting for the ferry or just got off it, this is a great place to stop. read more

They are conveniently located near the ferry terminal. We visited this place every day during our stay in San Juan islands . It's fairly crowded but service was very quick . Ate breakfast here two mornings in a row because it was so delicious! First I had the egg, roasted tomato, pesto and microgreens breakfast sandwich and it was one of the best bfast sandwiches I have ever had! The shop is warm and cozy and I sat at a wood table facing the terminal where I watched the ferry glide into dock. No better view! The next morning I thought of having the sandwich again but branched out to the egg, cheese, bean and veggie bfast burrito and I am glad I did! Honestly better than any other bfast burrito I have eaten away from home! Just a perfect amount of filling and nothing tasted weird or off just totally delicious! Large too! So close to the harbor ferry line that this place is packed all day long. Far from being a quiet and relaxing place to hang, this coffee shop is only good for one thing...a not so quick shot of caffeine as you come onto or leave the island. The coffee and chai are both really good, as are the pastries we had...but the wait and the crowd were a bit strenuous. So, if there's a line out the door, it's not so great that you can't walk another block or two and find another equally capable coffee shop. read more

Fun little spot right on the harbor. There is a plethora of coffee spots around here, but we stopped by this spot each day. Excellent açaí bowls, and breakfast sandwiches! They also have a lot of cool art and souvenirs specific to the San Juan's. The line can get long, but they're quick with it! They have a walk up window as well if you don't plan to sit. My kids were so excited about the opportunity to come back to the island since 2019. All they could talk about wasn't the whale watching, but the Salty Fox. We were supposed to arrive here on Tuesday but the ferry was canceled. We finally made it yesterday and wow it was great. They went to town on ordering. I had a beer instead of coffee. My favorite spot on the island! We came to visit the island for a wedding this past weekend and came to the spot every single morning from our house! It's a perfect location right on the water, and they have absolutely delicious coffee! My favorite thing was the vanilla latte, but they have a ton of options for syrups and drizzles. I also loved the açai bowl and my husband loved the breakfast burritos. Everyone was really kind, and the food took a while to come out because of the ferry, but it was worth it!
