I was happy with everything I ordered here -- key lime pie, sour cream raspberry muffin, oatmeal molasses cookie, and mushroom quiche. The key lime pie had a perfect crust and meringue, and just enough filling. I loved the crumbly top of the muffin and whole berries. The cookie was also stuffed with ingredients in every bite and the quiche was well done! It's too bad this place is only on SJI. They would make a killing in Seattle

Visiting San Juan for the day. Early start needed a pick me up. Split a raspberry scone and a pain au chocolat with my wife. Both very good. We both had lattes which hit the spot. Servers were friendly and recommend the quiche which we bought to have breakfast at our hotel the next few mornings. Inside was well maintained and as a beautiful inside and outside seating areas. This morning was a sit inside sort of day being it was 41 degrees when we got here.

First time coming here today and loved it! Came here to pick up a loaf of bread and had to get something else when we came in and saw all the treats they had. Got here around 1pm on a Friday so they didn't have everything but still had a decent amount of pastries and cakes! Ended up getting the mushroom pizza and loved it! It was flavorful and loved the crust. It was $7-8 for a slice but it's a quarter of the pizza so you get your moneys worth! Not pictured but the sourdough we got was yummy as well and not too expensive. We were able to place a pick up order for the bread over the phone. The space is big with lots of seats and the staff is super friendly. I'll definitely come back next time I'm on the island to try some of their sweets!

During a day trip to San Juan island we stopped at San Juan Bakery for a quick lunch. We had pizzas (pesto margarita, cheese, and mushrooms and onions). All were great. We specially loved the mushroom and onions one! We tried the Apple, pecan and lime tarts. The lime tart was really delicious! We also had coffee (cappuccino and cortado). They were very good!

Amazing -- everything. Best almond croissants anywhere. Better than the ones I had in Paris.

We enjoyed the scone and cheese roll. You have to get there early since the best breakfast pasties sell out.

After noticing that two couples who arrived after us had already been seated, I went back inside to ask about our table. The staff seemed a little irritated by the question, which wasn't a great start to the experience. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly throughout our meal, which I appreciated. However, it took quite a while for our food to arrive, and when it did, it wasn't very hot. I ordered my eggs over medium, but they came out overdone. From what I observed, the kitchen and counter staff seemed somewhat disorganized, which may have contributed to the long wait and cold food. I've heard mixed reviews about this place, and based on my visit, it seems like your experience may depend on the day. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. There are definitely some positives, especially with the waitstaff, but overall the experience fell short of expectations.

I have fond memories of visiting Holly B's as a kid--I mean, who can say no to fresh baked treats??…read more Craving a peaceful Sunday to myself I took a day trip to Lopez and had to stop by. I arrived a little before noon and there were several options to choose from... sweet pastries, cookies, bread and a couple savory baked treats as well. Slightly overwhelmed (and very hungry) I asked for a few suggestions. After hearing some of the staff favorites I went with a baguette, almond butterhorn pastry, and molasses cookie. (I normally try to eat plant-based but couldn't resist the nostalgia.) Off I went to the beach, after picking up some spinach artichoke dip and plump blueberries from Blossom Grocery. The baguette was delicious, definitely my favorite of the three! A delightful texture and flavor. It was perfection dunked straight into the spinach artichoke dip. Needless to say I inhaled half of the baguette in one sitting--the remainder was enjoyed as toasts over the next couple of days. Later on in the afternoon I went IN on the almond butterhorn. This pastry was recommended heated up, which I believe would be a good choice if you have the option. The helpful lady behind the counter offered to warm it for me, but I was planning on consuming it after a slightly more healthy snack aka baguette, dip, and blueberries. Anywho. I'm glad I tried the butterhorn, but I typically prefer less sweet options and would choose to try something different next time around. Since I was on a roll, I made quick work of the molasses cookie after dinner. The cookie was a generous size, plus it was both soft/chewy as well as flavorful. I would happily enjoy one or three of these again! Prices are pretty standard for island goods, and the shop itself is small so take your treats outside, that is if you can resist chowing down immediately. I am looking forward to visiting again soon, hopefully this summer with my family!

I did like the grilled oysters a bit more than the raw ones, my favorite out of the three was the Chipotle bourbon, it was sweet and tangy and the flavor meshed well with the grilled oyster. The main problem with this place is it's quite expensive, ~$2.5/raw oyster, $4.5/grilled oyster, and $1.5/clam for the clam bowl. The ambiance was great, the views of the water were nice. Service was also fine, if you get the DIY shuck oysters they give you a demo which is great. 4.6/5

When you arrive there is a free parking lot out front. I'd definitely recommend placing a reservation before you arrive as it can get busy. The atmosphere is a laidback, on a farm, and hidden. When we arrived we checked in with the host and then were seated along the water. To start we ordered the seasonal panzanella salad which was an excellent to start the meal. Next we ordered several grilled oysters including the Herb Lemon Garlic, Lime Cilantro Sriracha, and Chipotle Bourbon. The Herb Lemon Garlic flavor was by far my favorite given the nice balance of flavors. If you are on San Juan Island you definitely need to check out this shell shack.
