We have a second home in Heber and have been to this restaurant multiple times. The food overall has been good so we keep trying but the customer service is lacking incredibly. Most of the staff we encounter are incredibly rude and it's clear they do not want to be there. Kenny, the owner/manager, came out after we had concerns but it's clear he's more concerned with money than making customers happy. Not sure I'll be bringing any family or friends here again after this final experience. Utterly embarrassing. read more

Very disappointed. Every year for the last 5 plus years we have enjoyed taking our team to eat here after the Mogollon Invitational. It is a tradition. Just left this place 20 minutes ago ( 2/20/22 @7:50 pm. I ordered a red chili burrito, green chili burrito both enchilada style, rice and beans. The red chili tasted very tomatoey and the green chili barely had any flavor, that's my personal opinion. When I told the waitress that I was not happy with my meal and I was not going to pay for the Burros (which I did not eat, either one) but I would pay for the rice and beans, which I did eat, she said she would have to speak to the manager. She returned with the "manager" who turned out to be the owners son, who usually works as the bar tender. Normally has different hair color, tattoos and is usually cocky. Anyway, he put the bill down on the table and shoved it toward me and told me "I don't want you back here, you didn't even taste the food".! WRONG!!! I did and DID NOT LIKE IT! He took it personal! I am Hispanic and know what GOOD Mexican food tastes like and this was not good in my own option. So, I took my bill to the hostess station where you pay the bill and spoke to the owner of the restaurant who is also the hostess. She asked if everything was good and I told her no. I told her what had happened with her son and that his behavior was completely unacceptable and very unprofessional! She apologized and appeared to be very embarrassed by her sons behavior! At that time, her son walked out to the hostess station and began to insult me by calling me a dumb ass in Spanish! He proceeded to tell me that I did not need to tell his mother "owner" what had just happened and that they have been in business for 16 years, etc. and know what they are doing. Again, this was my personal opinion of the food, I did not go around bad mouthing them. I know this is the only Mexican restaurant in Heber-Overgaard and people don't have a choice, they just accept this subpar food because there is no other choice. The owners son "manager" was way out of line, very unprofessional. He should take this and learn from it instead of pushing customers away from the restaurant and insulting them. I can guarantee that I and other friends and family will never return to this mediocre, subpar restaurant ever again.! Take your business to Alibertos Mexican Restaurant! They are always consistent and ALWAYS have great tasting Mexican food! If you don't know what true, authentic Mexican food tastes like, then you'll probably like this place. If you know what true, good, authentic Mexican food tastes like, you truly will not like it.! Well, it's definitely as good as it gets in Heber, that's for sure. We were in town for a family wedding and decided to hit up Casa Ramos prior to the ceremony. My sister wanted to go to the Red Onion, but there was nothing (and I mean NOTHING) vegetarian for me. To avoid a hissy fit, we went here instead, thanks to Yelp. Service was very friendly, and I liked that multiple people came by for refills on drinks, salsa (which was wonderful and spicy), etc. Our adorable teenage server knew quite a bit about the alcoholic beverages and steered us towards the Cadillac margaritas. They were delicious with the Gran Marnier floater, and you could tell they weren't from a bottled mix. Since a previous Yelper raved about the veggie fajitas, I had to go with those. She was right! The mix of mushrooms, peppers and onions were covered in lots of seasoning that really made them taste great. I was going to stop with just two servings on corn tortillas, but I went with a third one as I correctly guessed that the wedding reception wouldn't have an actual vegetarian entree for me. I was stuffed the rest of the day. My brother in law got an enormous plate with three cheese enchiladas. I was surprised he finished the whole thing on his own, but he said he really liked them. The same goes for my sister's chipotle shrimp and my dad's chicken burrito and beef taco. Everyone was really happy with their order. They have a second location in Mesa that I will check out soon. Pretty good spot. I tried the three combo plate and got a shredded beef taco, ground beef enchilada, and chicken chimi. All were tasty and the rice was good. Loved the chips and salsa. Stopped in for a late lunch after working in Snowflake. Had a cheese crisp and the combo fajitas. Everything was fantastic. Grilled chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly along with great strips of steak..also delicious. The grilled veggies on the sizxling fajita platter were awesome!
