The service is friendly, prompt, & caring. The dining area has a wonderful selection of signs that could take you an entire day plus to read. They are so fitting for this environment. The seating isn't all worn & grungy. Yet clean, inviting, up to date. The food is PLENTIFUL for the price. I personally LOVE the 12", thick pancakes. I order a breakfast plate with them & have the waitress out all but the pancakes to go. I have never been able to eat the entire meal in one sitting. My husband loves the breakfast burrito. Don't know how, he usually eats an entire one in one sitting. Wish we had more funding to eat there more often. read more

We've been to the Skillet Cafe a few times which is located at Snowflake Municipal Golf Course. We stop in after playing golf which works up an appetite. You get to chose your table when you walk in and someone brings you menus and take drink orders The menu has a decent variety of choices plus there are specials of the day. We have tried the fish basket (fried fish and fries) as well as an open face roast beef sandwich (special of the day on Thursday). The fish is good but the roast beef sandwich is outstanding. The beef is shredded and so tasty!! It comes with mashed potatoes, gravy and fresh steamed green beans (yum!). We will definitely come back to the Skillet Cafe-in fact look forward to it almost as much as the golf! read more

I ordered the biscuits and gravy and my son ordered the wrangler burger. The biscuits and gravy tasted like eating a mouthful of flour. The waitress brought my son just a plain hamburger ( not what he ordered), he said his burger was pretty good, though. I asked the waitress take back my order, as I did not care for it , waitress became somewhat defensive and rude . I did decide to order a bacon cheeseburger which was pretty good. I was going to pay for the biscuits and gravy, however, the waitress added it to the bill anyway without advising me, which is not good customer service. I will not go back to this place ever.. not because of the food, but because of the rude customer service. Very disappointing. read more

They had a good cook that cooked my eggs right they had very good service. The gal came and brought fresh coffee during the time we were eating their gravy and biscuits were good. My wife and I went to The Skillet Cafe in Snowflake, AZ on November 12, 2022 having never been there before. This cafe was a solid 5/5. I had an ice cold Dr. Pepper that was crisp and spot on flavor. (Yes, even the soda mixture at a restaurant gets a review) The food was very delicious, service was prompt and it felt like a Cafe inside. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with a biscuit and gravy and my wife had a delicious eggs, bacon, home fries and biscuit meal (yeah, plenty of food). I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! Not a horrible establishment. Just not great. They served the people they knew before us even though they got there after us. They did really great severing them. The food was very mid. It was just okay. We got the burrito and the Denver plate. It was around $28 without tip so sadly just not worth the price. Kind servers though! read more

The really busy day there was a short wait for food. The waitress, 2 of them actually were working very hard to keep up and succeeded. Prices were nominal for the area. Had the Fish and Chips special. Fried shrimp was very good, fish was cold and not really cooked. With friends who took us there for the first time and is one of their go-to places. Sad. We've been coming here for years. The food has always been good and the wait staff friendly and courteous. Not sure what was going on today. We waited an hour for our food. It was a no show. When we asked about it we were told their cooks had a long list and we'd just have to wait. Then we saw people that came in a half hour after us being served. My elderly friend asked again about our food. Once again, we were given a very poor excuse. She said may be we should leave. The waitress said yeah maybe you should. Wow. The servers were chit chatting with the locals. Took them awhile to get to us and our breakfast. Location was far off the main highway of Snowflake at the golf course. Lots of flies. We sat at the window side. This was back in September 2018. Our total bill was $15.23 Including our coffee and water down hot chocolate. I like to hit this nice little café in Snowflake when I am in town visiting my dad and grandma. The food is always amazing but there's one waitress that seems to have a pretty smelly attitude. Her name is Tori. A couple of months ago. My dad asked for something and you would have thought he asked to sleep with her. She treated him cold after that. All he asked for was a different kind of sauce. We like the place so much that we took grandma there for breakfast for her birthday. She is the sweetest lady in the world but Tori treated her like shit also. When we left, we decided we will never go back. Going back only invites another opportunity to be Treated poorly by a waitress with a shit attitude. All the other waitresses seem great, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is peaceful. If you go there and you get Tori just ask for a different waitress. read more
