Nice clean restaurant, customer service was great. Seat yourself, sur charge for credit card charges. Rest rooms need to be renovated. Sunday Special Chili was great. But I did get a stomach ache 30 minutes after I ate it. Patty Melt and Omelette were yummy. Our Server was nice and knowledgeable.

    Chicken fried steak and eggs.

Food was delicious, service was great and the prices were good. They have a big menu with tons of breakfast and lunch options. The country fried steak and the country Bennie were so good! The kids menu came with big portions ( the kids pancake filled the entire plate.) Definitely will be coming back when we are in the area again.

Super yummy food. Friendly service. Worth the drive from our resort in Overgaard. Stop by if you're in the area.

We've been to the Skillet Cafe a few times which is located at Snowflake Municipal Golf Course. We stop in after playing golf which works up an appetite. You get to chose your table when you walk in and someone brings you menus and take drink orders The menu has a decent variety of choices plus there are specials of the day. We have tried the fish basket (fried fish and fries) as well as an open face roast beef sandwich (special of the day on Thursday). The fish is good but the roast beef sandwich is outstanding. The beef is shredded and so tasty!! It comes with mashed potatoes, gravy and fresh steamed green beans (yum!). We will definitely come back to the Skillet Cafe-in fact look forward to it almost as much as the golf!

I had the Holla Tots -- tater tots with ham, bacon, egg, and hollandaise. Delicious! I also ordered a Mangonada Mimosa which was so fun. We ended up coming back for lunch where I shared the turkey club and a BLT. It was packed at lunch but somehow still easy to find a spot to sit. This place has food and drink options to suit a lot of tastes, great staff, and plenty of seating in a cute space. The attention to detail is clear from the fun food and drink names to the decor (especially the bathroom) and the 3 or 4 kinds of ketchup. I wish they had one near me!

The place has that lived-in charm where locals know each other's orders, and the staff treats you like you're part of the club from minute one. I've made the Asian chicken wrap and twisted beef Philly my reliable go-tos--they nail that balance of fresh and hearty that keeps pulling me back. The morning totchos are a brilliant mess of everything breakfast should be, the chicken and waffle hits that sweet-savory note without trying too hard, and even their bagel with salmon comes out like they actually care about it. The vanilla matcha bubble tea deserves its own mention because it tastes like someone put thought into it rather than just dumping powder into a cup. Service here makes the food taste even better--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. The vibe is casual enough that you can show up in whatever you're wearing, but the food quality makes it clear they're taking things seriously where it counts. It's the kind of spot where you find yourself coming back not just for one signature dish, but because the whole experience just works.

We arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday. It was pretty busy but we were seated promptly and service was excellent throughout the meal. My wife had the chicken sandwich with a side of sweet potato tots. The first thing that caught my eye was a novel Steak and Egg dish that included a six oz. Sirloin steak with "loaded hash brown potatoes," that's hash browns with a load of onions, bell peppers, and cheese. This was a delicious side complete with two eggs my style and choice of toast. There was even more but I passed on the bacon, it was just too much. My wife opted for the all veggie omelet (which of course she couldn't finish) with all it fixings which we took home. One of the highlights of our service was the young waiter, Owen, who had been added to the staff recently. He was anxiously trying to be so helpful it was a joy to be one his first "customers." He of course getting help from is fellow staffers especially Debbie our favorite. In addition I would be remiss if I didn't mention the fullly appointed bakery available to us as we checked out. There is was with home baked brownies, pies, and coffee cake to tempt us as we left. I could go on and on but you get the picture. Treat yourself to the Ponderosa Cafe when in our town, you won't regret it!

The café is small, quaint, spotless, and filled with playful bear décor that gives the whole place a warm, cheerful personality. It has the cozy feel of an old-fashioned country diner--the kind of place where you can settle in with a hot cup of coffee and enjoy a hearty, homemade breakfast. And let's talk about the food and those portions--OH MY! I ordered three eggs, bacon, hash browns, and homemade biscuits and gravy. Everything was cooked to order, arrived surprisingly fast, and tasted wonderful. The biscuits and gravy especially satisfied that serious comfort-food craving I had that morning. They were warm, filling, and exactly what I needed! The coffee was a good, strong black brew that fit the country-café experience perfectly, and the prices were exactly what I would expect to pay for such a generous breakfast. The restaurant was busy, and with only two waitresses working, they could definitely have used another set of hands. A few guests had to ask for coffee refills or their checks, but this is a brand-new restaurant, and I am sure they are still working out the little details. The staff was working hard, so bring a little patience and enjoy the experience. Lovely Bear Cafe has all the ingredients to become a local favorite: delicious homemade food, huge portions, reasonable prices, fun décor, and plenty of small-town charm.
