The new owner, John, came out and introduced himself, and as we are both Air Force veterans, we had a good conversation. This place was good in the past. We've tried it a few times this past year. It is hit and miss at best. Honestly we haven't had the pizza in a few months, so not sure about the pizzas. I had the French dip about a month ago and it was delicious. Tonight both my husband and I had that same sandwich and it didn't have much flavor. It's similar but not the same. The menu has changed. We came for the Rueben and a fish fry. The waitress, who was quite obviously stoned told us she had worked there for 2 summers and a winter, told us that fish fry is only available on Fridays. That's not how we remembered it. It's definitely a place where the locals go and enjoy. We got here with some local friends. Live music on Fridays and Fish & Chips are on special -- a must try -- very delicious . This also pairs well with a draft beer 805. We enjoyed the music & local scene, no hurry-mentality...as the service goes...take your time & enjoy the beautiful weather...where have you gotta go? Tried the Sweet Heat Burger today and a 6 piece of Lemon Pepper Wings, and absolutely loved every bite of everything, but I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach or how does that saying go? Lol. I had to fast after midnight because I was getting labs done so after labs I ordered a ton of food and basically was stuffed to the max after the sweet heat and a couple of lemon pepper wings- lol. I polished the rest off today, and will definitely be ordering both again in the future, but maybe not at the same time- lol. And also found out they apparently do 1/2 price wings on Wednesday? If that's an every week thing you'll definitely be seeing me there as much as possible. I would like to maybe see some additional flavors in the wings, tho, maybe an Asian type, teriyaki wings? Or Garlic Parmesan, can't remember if you had that already or not, and also, the spicier the better, and maybe you could even introduce a spicy wing eating challenge? Lol. A cool little local place to go, but I'm sorry they are not using homemade fixings in particular. I have the pizza and I am quite sure the entire pizza is frozen whole and then just baked. I do not believe it was made in House and we were told it is all made fresh in House anyway don't go just for pizza. read more

It took 1 hour for our food to come out.....Order got messed up and never went into the kitchen. Burgers were missing cheese. French dip was missing onions. Nothing went right and they were not that busy. They had a lot of excuses as to what happened and we were never compensated in any way. Will not go back or recommend it to friends. read more

Finally made it this weekend to try out this restaurant. The pizza was delicious as was the burger and fries. Also, tried a sample of their homemade carrot cake which was divine. The absolute worst. Walked in at 5:30, finally left at 7:15 with our pizza in a Togo box... it took so long. Was not worth the wait. They told other customers they were slammed with phone to go orders... if we had known it would have taken this long we would have not ordered pizza. We ate our pizza on the drive home. Sandy's Hideaway changed to MJ's Hideaway because it has new owners. They have made some nice changes to the inside of this very small restaurant. Our server was really nice and on top of everything. I always got a new glass of soda before I even completely finished the 1st. We came with some friends on a Friday fish day. There were no tables available for 4 people. As we waited a couple that was seated at a larger table moved to a 2 too so we could sit down...that would only happen in a small town. I ordered Honey BBQ chicken wings, my wife and our friends ordered individual pizzas and the fish and chips. All the food was very good. The ladies loved their pizzas and they looked really well cooked and loaded with toppings. The new owners came by and introduced themselves and asked how our dinner was and chatted for a couple minutes. Owner made sure to shake our hands and invite us to come back as we left. We are at Sandi's at least once, and most likely, twice a week. We have been going there ever since Sandi's bought it. I have the exact same thing everytime we go. Have never tasted anything else because this is so good! I get a personal pan pizza every single time. It's delicious! I don't even have to give an order anymore, they all know what I want. The Friday night fish frys are well attended any everyone raves about the meal. Summer weekends will find live music on the patio with outdoor bar. Whenever we are there Sandi comes over to say hello and chat for a minute or two. This is restaurant is quite a popular place here in the White Mountains and I'm glad its only 5 minutes away. read more

Sandi's Hideaway is a little oasis on a hillside. What a treat! The food was delicious. The fries were the best I've had in a while. The pizza was great and the toppings were fresh. Great beer prices and awesome friendly service. The inside is colorfully decorated and very charming. They were setting up to have live music from 2-5 but we had plans so we couldn't stay. They said they do the music all summer, so we will definitely be coming back for that! And I want to try their burger from X Diamond Ranch near Eager. We found this place thru a referral of some people while dining at another restaurant. They suggested the pizza. We went with another couple so we got a med pizza and a 3 piece pankco cod. Friday was fish fry night. Well the fish blew the pizza out of the water. Wonderful flaky pankco batter, really put it over the top.
