It was my first time visiting Darbis cafe, and I was really surprised by how packed it was! I went on a Sunday morning. The parking situation is honestly the worst! There's very limited parking and it's very crammed. The wait was also pretty long, but it's understandable as they were packed. The place is small, but cozy. The food was great, and had nice flavor. The pancakes were also nice and fluffy. I think the only thing I left wanting to try was their cinnamon rolls! They looked amazing, but I was too full after eating my breakfast. I will def be back once in town!

Ordered takeout for three people for breakfast at the cabin. The online menu is extensive, ordering by phone was easy, and the food ready fairly quick, however they forgot one of the side items for one of the meals. They were fairly large portions which was nice.

Had a great weekend in Pinetop and stumbled upon this absolute gem. Darbi's Cafe is the cutest little mom-and-pop breakfast spot. Exactly the kind of place you hope to find in a small mountain town. The cinnamon roll was HUGE and incredibly delicious. Soft, warm, and totally worth it. The menu has so many options it was honestly hard to choose, but everything we ordered was really good. You can tell the food is made with care. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience felt like a home-cooked meal. Cozy, comforting, and unpretentious...in the best way. If you're in Pinetop and want a solid breakfast with great food and a small-town feel, this place is a must.

We ate at Darbi's today around 12:30 for lunch with a group of 7, and wow--this place was hopping! We did have a short wait, but it was totally expected and honestly a good sign. From the moment we sat down, the staff was incredibly friendly. It felt less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed by friends or family. Everyone was attentive, upbeat, and clearly working hard. Our group ordered a little of everything: three Chicken Fried Steaks, a half Chef Salad, Chicken Tenders, the Monte Cristo, and the Fish Fry. Every single dish came out hot and delicious. The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on. I personally had the Chicken Fried Steak and upgraded my side to mac and cheese--so glad I did. It was creamy, comforting, and absolutely hit the spot. The only small negative was that the soup was a bit lukewarm, but honestly, that didn't take away from how much we enjoyed the meal and experience overall. Highly recommend Darbi's if you're in Pinetop. We'll definitely be back!

From the friendly greeting and seating, to the staff that really works as a team to ensure top quality, this place is our favorite in this part of the world. Food, regular American style, and prepared with care and skill. Breakfasts are huge, top quality and delicious. This time we had lunch. Wife had the Monte Cristo, not found often anymore. Loved it. Came with a mound of crisp sweet potato fries. My turkey, cranberry, stuffing on whole grain bread was delicious. Thick hunks of home roasted turkey breast and canned cranberry sauce. Mountain of delicious, fresh, fries. Service always efficient, prices not outrageous. This place is popular and always busy.

A truly great breakfast place. This is a pretty popular spot, but they turn over tables quickly and you never have to wait too long. Pretty extensive menu with plenty of options and a great view from the patio. I got the 3x3 Skillet and it was just about as good as it gets. No complaints at all. Portions are huge! My wife got the Loaded Biscuits and Gravy, which was also great but the jalapeños were spicy that day. Be careful if you aren't a fan of super spicy food. Overall experience was amazing and we will be back.

Friendly servers, yummy food, and a cozy family atmosphere - a great find! We were in town for a getaway from Phoenix and picked Darbi's based on the reviews. Had a delicious southwest chicken sandwich for lunch and we shared cheese curds for an appetizer. The curds were so good I forgot to grab a picture before we scarfed them down! We came the day before thanksgiving and it seemed like every other person was taking pies and massive cinnamon rolls home so we'll definitely need to grab treats next time, too!

The food was sooooo good. These buffalo chicken fries are the best I have ever had. Cute little place but weird hours.

Anytime we are in Pinetop, we always make sure to stop by Darbi's before coming home! The staff is always so kind and the wait is never truly long since we arrive around 8:30/9:00 before there's a big rush. The service was very quick which was amazing since we were heading back home and wanted to beat most of the traffic down to the valley. Their menu looks new and there were plenty of options for everyone to choose from. My oatmeal was perfect and there weren't really any complaints from the group. The only hiccup that we encountered was the sausage gravy, for biscuits & gravy, was not warmed and it was a little cold. The biscuits were delicious and helped warm the gravy up a little bit. Other than that, no complaints and can't wait to go back!

My husband and our children went to Darbi's Cafe by recommendation. We were totally satisfied with our selections of breakfast; so much so that we went there twice while we were there. They're bacon tasted so good, their selections are wonderful, I love the crunchy French toast, my kids ordered the spinach omelettes and also biscuits with gravy. You need to go there with an appetite because you really get large proportions. Even our grandbaby enjoyed eating their smoke applewood bacon. Our server Chris was an excellent server and very kind. All the staff there was very kind. If you eat there, and you love breakfast, you will definitely enjoy this place. It beats going to IHOP.

Great corned beef hash that tastes like corned beef !

Our visit was on a Sunday evening so it wasn't too busy. Good thing considering how slow they were. 2 hours! Yeah, two hours! The place was filthy! The floor looked like it hadn't seen a mop since they first opened and our table was almost as bad! I ordered Top Sirloin & Shrimp, with a baked potato. Other than being cold and a "child's plate", the food was OK. Not great, just OK. 4 shrimp, a six ounce steak, and medium baked potato shouldn't cost $38.00! I can easily afford to take my family out anywhere, but this was really pathetic. I'd be embarrassed to serve that! Oh, my "salad" was iceberg lettuce that was already limp and turning brown with two bitter cherry tomatoes. I didn't know tomatoes could be bitter! We saw our waitress a total of three times. Once to begin taking our order, then to leave in the middle for some emergency elsewhere. About 30 minutes later, she returned with our drinks and had the nerve to ask... "Now, where were we?" No less than an hour later someone else showed up with our cold food. After about two hours I was able to flag down our "waitress" for the bill. That part was actually pretty quick. It's extremely rare when I leave a bad review. Especially at a restaurant. We go out quite often and see the abuse that service staff endure. I couldn't do their jobs so I have much respect for those who can. Having said that, I see this place in a death spiral. The current staff is killing it. It's too bad too. It has the potential to be great. Considering how long it has been there, it must have been good at some point. Unfortunately it seems those days are past. If you plan on visiting, make sure that your Tetnis shot is current and bring some hand sanitizer.
