Mr Zeke's is a neighborhood bar with a fairly large and varied food menu. It was pretty busy on the Tuesday we visited Service was good. The manager was training our server and she had a handheld device which placed our order with the kitchen and was used for paying the bill. We both ordered the pulled pork on a bake potato (that night's special) and a salad. The salad was mostly shredded iceberg lettuce with croutons. My blue cheese dressing was better than most I've tasted at this type of restaurant. The potato was huge and was cooked well. The topping, which consisted of bbq sauce, lots of this sliced fried onions and very little pulled pork was pretty good. Both my wife and were disappointed by how little pulled pork there was. It seemed like the fried onions were used to "bulk up" the amount of topping. We'd come back, but we would not order a special dish. read more

Recently went to Mr Zeke's for dinner with my friend. We were seated immediately and our server, Candice came over immediately. We ordered our food, my friend had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and I ordered the ribeye steak. I asked for no onions on my salad and when it showed up, it was covered in them. Yuck. I picked them off. I ordered a baked potato with butter only. It came with cheese, sour cream and lots of butter. My steak came and there was an unusual amount of fat & grisel, almost half the steak. When our server came by, I showed her and she brought the manager out. The manager offered to cook another, so I agreed. The new steak came out, perfectly cooked and delicious. By then, I had eaten a lot, so I took most of the new steak home. The dining room is pleasant and usually kept clean. The reason I gave this 4 stars was because of the treatment of the new steak. I really appreciated the effort to exclude the hard ribs in the romaine lettuce. I know this can seem like a small thing, but for me it was an indication of the care they take with the food. There were TVs tuned to the World Cup games. There was indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Visiting Pinetop-Lakeside is wonderful whether during warm weather, the annual mountain bike race, or for snow. We now have yet another reason to return! She agrees. We'll be back. read more

We went to Mr. Zekes tonight, 9/13/26 with another couple. They ordered a build your own hamburger medium with cheese and onion rings to split. The hamburger was well done, had no cheese and the onion rings looked like donuts. The waiter came back to the table before they had taken their first bite and was told there was no cheese. He brought back a bowl of shredded cheese. As one of the diners ate the hamburger, a long hair was found in the fried onions on my husbands BBQ pork sandwich. Not a good experience. My husband and I are full time residents who eat out often and tip between 20 and 25%. Maybe once a year we have poor food and poor service. Tonight was our night. We left a $5 tip the waiter was lucky to get. We won't be back. read more

Everything was great! My daughter got the chicken Alfredo. My husband got the loaded BBQ pulled pork potato with a side salad. And I got the three seafood tacos. Oh. My. Gosh. We will definitely be back. But what made this place the best wasn't even the food. It was our server Roberto. We came here for dinner at Mr. Zeke's restaurant in Pinetop. I had the surf and turf tacos. These are 3 tacos served with steak, spicy-sweet slaw and homemade pico. I opted to have a sauteed shrimp on it. The combination of meat and seafood was perfectly balanced. Also, the salmon we ordered was moist and flavorfully cooked. I wanted a refreshing drink. The server suggested Arnold Palmer drink. It is a layered beverage that starts with the rich flavor of tea and finishes with a refreshing lemony twist. For dessert, we ordered their cheesecake (as I absolutely love cheesecakes) with fresh strawberry and topped with strawberry syrup and chocolate syrup. It was truly mouthwatering, with a creamy texture and a rich taste to your palate. The service was accommodating. Our server was keen that he checked on us to ensure that we were enjoying our meal. We were in pinetop-lakeside for a few days so so we decided to give Mr Zeke's a try. We started with the Caprese salad, it had a dab of pesto on each piece which really mad it stand out. I ordered the Rubin, overall it was good but there wasn't enough meat on it and there was some grizzle in the meat, but it was tasty. My wife had the Philly sandwich, the meat was overcooked even though she asked before she ordered it "is it well done". so that wasn't so good. The food was very good. My husband got the Patty Melt with fries which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Sweet Summer salad which was delicious, and they did not skimp on the toppings! This place did not impress me. Let's talk about the food first. I got the Capresse salad, and not only was its price horrendous, but the mozzarella was thick as a mega marshmallow, the tomato was nearly inedible, and the basil leaf tasted felt like rubber. Glad I ordered some extra chicken, because that was the only filling thing I ate. The service...not good. I was sat down reasonably fine, but that wasn't the problem. The waitress kept ignoring me and bumping into other people sitting down. The drinks I got were split into two groups: A. Super sticky and filled with syrup without much carbonation, or B. Seltzer water with a hint of Diet Pepsi. The waitress, for no reason at all, slammed the silverware onto the napkin, causing a loud noise. Service is a fail. Lastly, the ambiance. The outside was okay, and the door was maintained neatly, but here's where it's bad. As soon as I step in there, I see a dusty floor that they probably haven't cleaned or maintained in a week. There's also a smoke or steam of some sort coming from the tables, don't know why. It's also very dim inside, to the point where you almost need a light or something to clearly read the menu. I will not be coming back, since there are some other really good places in-town, unlike this. The food pictures are really deceiving, too. The salad looked really big, nearly the same size as the plate, but the actual salad filled a third of what I expected, so this place has lost my business. read more

Mr. Zeke's was a good find for us as we had our pup Archie with us after a walk around Woodland Lake. Their enclosed front patio provided welcome shade on this very warm afternoon.
