I normally frequent Ponderosa for breakfast, but today I decided to do lunch. I'm so glad I did! I saw they had a hotdog on the menu and I would not think to get that (unless I'm at Portillo's or Ted's). But they explained it was deep fried, and oh boy was that good! The owners are personable, welcoming, and engaging with customers. Perfect climate for a small town cafe.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Every time we come to visit this area we stop here and we are never ever disappointed. The food is amazing, and so are the people who work here. Always clean and welcoming and delicious. They have a large menu with lots of different things to choose from - you will not regret eating here!

The doughnut of the day Crème brûlée was absolutely the very best doughnut I've EVER eaten! I can't wait to go back. Maybe this weekend?!

Hello! If you are looking for the perfect breakfast place in Heber/Overgaard, Wood Shed Cafe is my…read moretop recommendation. There's never been a place closer to home. Second-to-none meals, speedy service and a great selection for a sit-down restaurant. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, made with a plain bagel, scrambled eggs, sausage, and some extra jalapeños. Everything was homemade, and nothing was like a Cisco brand at all. The bagel was fluffy, the eggs were scrambled to perfection, the sausage was juicy and the jalapeños were a nice add-on. I hope to try the waffles or the breakfast burrito next time. When I came in, the waitress had me at a table in no time, ready to ask my drink and, only about 10 minutes later, my order. The staff provided me with the WiFi password (which I believe to be "Chritina1911", not Christina, or something of that) and were very kind and helpful. Inside was jam-packed of cowboy pictures, taxidermies, funny signs, booths, tables, American flags of different nature (Army, Navy, Navy Seabees), and a bunch of happy people! It was very American, which I love. The restaurant was clean, the booths had felt of some sort and overall a very comforting experience. What I realize, and what you should too, is that it's not everyday a cafe like this is here in your area. I recommend this to all breakfast lovers, this was truly a fantastic place. So take a trip down to Wood Shed Cafe for amazing food, spectacular service and a cozy American dining feel! Thank you!

Perfect day for a motorcycle ride temperatures were between 63 and 91 the mid 60s to low 80s was all the way up and then the 75 to 91 was the right home Ken and I had chicken fried steak eggs and taters. He had French toast and I had toast his wife. Melanie got the skillet with a chocolate chip pancake what a delicious meal and the place is the coolest it's got so much old school stuff in the in the restaurant most of it you see it you have experienced it or had it in your mom and dad's house at one point in time or your grandpa's house service was awesome They suggested us a few different meals. They said everything gravy was the best way to go so chicken fries steak it was with their gravy which was delicious chicken fried steak was delicious. It was an awesome day. so it's 268 miles round-trip what a perfect way to spend a Saturday check it out you'll love it. We will definitely go back.

They let us know that the panini machine was broken and someone was working on it, so that buggered up my plan to order the turkey panini. I ended up ordering a grilled chicken sandwich. Husband decided to go big with a chili dog The place is clean - but I do have to mention that these terribly uncomfortable chairs made my back hurt just looking at them, so we ate quickly They have a little book sitting at the front bar, where they give you all sorts of information on Holbrook, which is kind of cool. It included a list of places to stay, things to see and do in the city and campgrounds.- quite fun that they have taken the time to put that together. Honestly, the food wasn't all that memorable and maybe it was because I had my heart set on that turkey Panini. The chicken sandwich was fine and my husband's hot dog was good but very messy as one would expect. The fries weren't very hot. It was just OK. $29 before tip
