From our very first visit, we felt welcomed and seated promptly. The food came out fresh, hot, and delicious every time. As an added bonus, they're military friendly, my husband was given his military discount without any hassle, which we really appreciated. We're late risers on vacation, so we came in later in the morning each day. Some visits the place was busy, other times there were only a few tables occupied, but it didn't matter either way, the service was consistently great no matter how full the place was. We tried a little bit of everything during our visits. The Lumberjack was a hit, and I had a crispy sandwich with fries that were seriously amazing, they're shoe string fries, which I much prefer over the thicker cut, so that was a huge win for me. I also had homemade onion rings that were perfectly crispy. My kids ordered chocolate chip pancakes and eggs, and even with my twins being a little picky (one wanted cheese, the other didn't), the kitchen got their orders exactly right every time, plates cleaned! My elderly mother tried the senior specials and loved every meal she had. Our waitresses, Jeannie and Jennifer, were absolutely wonderful. So friendly, so attentive, always checking in and keeping our coffee cups full. It's the kind of genuine, warm service you just don't find at chain restaurants anymore, and it made a huge difference in our experience. We couldn't leave without dessert, and honestly we didn't want to. The kids tried a different cookie each day, and I made sure to try the pie, which was absolutely delicious and clearly baked fresh. The bakery area itself was so charming, decked out with a patriotic theme and tons of cute little signs and decor. I actually tried to buy one of the signs to take home, but they weren't for sale, ha! I also picked up a jar of their homemade elderberry syrup, and they had some lovely handmade items available too. I couldn't resist grabbing a magnet on our way out, now I have a little souvenir on my fridge to remember this special cafe every time I walk by. Prices are extremely reasonable, and you will not leave hungry. This cafe was a highlight of our trip, and we can't wait to go back next time we're in the area!

Our server said they just cut it open this morning. The other two egg breakfast we got the potatoes. We love that the pancakes are mini pancakes. The pancakes were good, but we actually prefer a much thinner pancake. But the overall breakfast was very satisfying and we would return here again. The staff is so friendly and it's just a great place to hang out. They bake cinnamon rolls and muffins so we'll have to try one of those next time.

There were three in our party and two ordered the Beast Burger, a 1/2 pound Colorado Bison. One ordered the Fireside Buffalo Chicken sandwich. We all opted for a side salad over fries and were all very happy with the salad. The chicken sandwich was good although the Beast Burger was the bomb! Fortunately for us, getting lost turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived, so they told us to sit wherever we'd like. The service was fantastic from the moment we walked in, and the food was even better. I ordered the Reuben, one of the boys got a burger and fries, and the other ordered the chicken Alfredo. Now here's where things got interesting. After the first bite of the chicken Alfredo, all loyalty to previously ordered meals disappeared. The burger kid immediately developed a serious case of Order Envy and was ready to abandon ship. I'm pretty sure if negotiations had continued, he would have traded his entire burger basket for that Alfredo without hesitation. If you're a parent, you know exactly what I'm talking about. One kid orders perfectly well. Another kid orders slightly better. Suddenly there's a food custody dispute at the table. Thankfully, there was plenty of food, nobody went hungry, and everyone left happy. Amazing food, amazing service, and a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
