    Green chili omelette

We had never tried Christina's Wood Shed Cafe with all of our time that we spend in Heber. It came recommended to us by our Airbnb. We showed up at opening at got seated right away. The waitress was new, but she did a great job with our orders and memorized everything without a problem. I got a green chili omelet and it was really good! They didn't skimp around with the toppings. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy and my daughter enjoyed the large kid's pancake! The food came out quickly and like most places in Heber they had a crowd of regulars of which the restaurant knew their order before they sat down. We'd recommend and come back, too!

Well, Friday night we're sitting talking on the phone trying to decide where to go for breakfast on Saturday and the woodshed came up my friend Ken and his wife Melanie said that they have a friend From Work that lives up in Ogard that goes to the woodshed for breakfast and said it was excellent so we hopped on our bikes, first thing Saturday morning at 8 o'clock and one for MESA, Arizona to Overgard, Arizona, which is about 135 miles one way. Perfect day for a motorcycle ride temperatures were between 63 and 91 the mid 60s to low 80s was all the way up and then the 75 to 91 was the right home Ken and I had chicken fried steak eggs and taters. He had French toast and I had toast his wife. Melanie got the skillet with a chocolate chip pancake what a delicious meal and the place is the coolest it's got so much old school stuff in the in the restaurant most of it you see it you have experienced it or had it in your mom and dad's house at one point in time or your grandpa's house service was awesome They suggested us a few different meals. They said everything gravy was the best way to go so chicken fries steak it was with their gravy which was delicious chicken fried steak was delicious. It was an awesome day. so it's 268 miles round-trip what a perfect way to spend a Saturday check it out you'll love it. We will definitely go back.

Loved this place so much last time for their gigantic burritos that I had asked my mom if she could bring me one back down from Heber when she visited last weekend. I remember being ecstatic about their burrito last time I got it and it lasted nearly 3 meals. It lasted about the same this time around too. I'll stop here next time I come back up to Heber for sure.

It is a hole in the wall out in the middle of nowhere. I like the military flags. My Benedict skillet was decent but it was drowning in the hollandaise. English muffin wasn't even toasted and extremely dry. Not much else to say...

Having a hard time understanding the complaints about this place. If you want a fancy restaurant that serves mimosas and shrimp omelets, drive on. But if you want the best biscuits and gravy in the USA while surrounded by flags honoring our troops, you will become an immediate fan. Service was like being home with the family. They are proud of this place and it shows. I have traveled all over America looking for diners like this and I can't wait to come back with friends.

I already had a couple of favorite coffee shops in Payson that I enjoyed stopping at. But after a few visits to Sanders, it also became a favorite for me on my drives. Sanders is owned by a couple and operates out of a small shop right off the main highway. Sanders Coffee + Co. has all your basic espresso and coffee drinks plus a few of their own creations. Their menu also has a variety of pastries, shakes and smoothies. My drink of choice on road trips is an Iced Latte no flavor. Their espresso drinks are smooth here at Sanders because they use Press coffee beans. Press Coffee is a local coffee chain in the Valley that sources quality beans and roast them in-house. For food, I have only ordered a pastry with my drink on a couple of occasions. The Malasadas and Cinnamon Rolls are pretty good. The shop itself is cozy with couches and tables to relax at and a small merchandise section. The parking lot can be tight depending on the day of the week. Sanders is a great coffee shop to stop at if you are passing through Heber-Overgaard. The staff is friendly and I always enjoy supporting local businesses. The order line can be a little long on busy days.

Inside is modern and clean, but their staff lacked any personality. First time I tried a cinnamon roll and their blueberry muffin. It was nice of them to ask if I wanted the pastries warmed up, they use a microwave to do so. The cinnamon roll was delicious, nice buttery bottom and perfect amount of icing. The blueberry muffin was a miss for me, not enough sweetness in the batter so the muffin was very bland and lacked much blueberry flavor. For coffee, I tried their local and squatch from their specialty lattes. Their espresso was smooth and not bitter, but the latte itself was lackluster. They both did not have enough syrup, very mild in flavor and mostly espresso forward. If you are looking for bold flavors, you won't get that here.

That should tell you everything you need to know! From our very first visit, we felt welcomed and seated promptly. The food came out fresh, hot, and delicious every time. As an added bonus, they're military friendly, my husband was given his military discount without any hassle, which we really appreciated. We're late risers on vacation, so we came in later in the morning each day. Some visits the place was busy, other times there were only a few tables occupied, but it didn't matter either way, the service was consistently great no matter how full the place was. We tried a little bit of everything during our visits. The Lumberjack was a hit, and I had a crispy sandwich with fries that were seriously amazing, they're shoe string fries, which I much prefer over the thicker cut, so that was a huge win for me. I also had homemade onion rings that were perfectly crispy. My kids ordered chocolate chip pancakes and eggs, and even with my twins being a little picky (one wanted cheese, the other didn't), the kitchen got their orders exactly right every time, plates cleaned! My elderly mother tried the senior specials and loved every meal she had. Our waitresses, Jeannie and Jennifer, were absolutely wonderful. So friendly, so attentive, always checking in and keeping our coffee cups full. It's the kind of genuine, warm service you just don't find at chain restaurants anymore, and it made a huge difference in our experience. We couldn't leave without dessert, and honestly we didn't want to. The kids tried a different cookie each day, and I made sure to try the pie, which was absolutely delicious and clearly baked fresh. The bakery area itself was so charming, decked out with a patriotic theme and tons of cute little signs and decor. I actually tried to buy one of the signs to take home, but they weren't for sale, ha! I also picked up a jar of their homemade elderberry syrup, and they had some lovely handmade items available too. I couldn't resist grabbing a magnet on our way out, now I have a little souvenir on my fridge to remember this special cafe every time I walk by. Prices are extremely reasonable, and you will not leave hungry. This cafe was a highlight of our trip, and we can't wait to go back next time we're in the area!
