My god is this Dairy Queen horrible, every time I go here the employees never fail to let me know just by their faces they hate their job?? I mean who doesn't but in customer service, ure supposed to have a good one HAHA!! Lady got mad because I wanted her to scan my deal on the app?? Like okay. Then it never fails that when I order a small cone, it comes out with the same size as a kids when I'm paying like 3 extra dollars for this small, I think it's ridiculous and need to be helped on their swirls! This DQ and Chevron location is pretty nice for the area! The restrooms are located between the DQ and the Chevron convenient store. Small restrooms but pretty cleanly. Men's restroom has one stall but two urinals and women's restroom has two stalls. Def recommend if traveling through tans need a quick pit stop. Has everything you need. From restroom, food, gas, and snacks! We actually ended up meeting the owner of the two locations and chatted with her a bit. We saw her sweeping the area herself and also made sure that the women were able to go to the restroom when the lines were getting long (you know how the women's bathroom is always a hassle). She had great hospitality and cares for her traveling customers (and locals). We ended up ordering a quick snack before the road and the DQ delivered our order pretty quickly (for a family of 6). The line did get long at some point but the orders came out quick. The Chevron convenient store was so nostalgic! The had candy that I haven't send since Block Busters were open! Plenty of everything from hats, CD Albums, dvd movies, drinks, medicine, chips, etc. Very clean and organized. Plenty of parking and gas was a good price (I'm from california so anything below $4 gal is great). read more

Good Spot For A Treat This place is a good spot, if not the only actual spot to get a treat in Heber/Overguard Arizona. It is a Dairy Queen which means everyone knows what they have. I get a chocolatey brownie blizzard of some kind usually. The staff is always friendly here, but being the only place in town to get a treat it can get pretty busy so you may be here a while waiting. Especially when the bus stops with the high school football team!!!! If this was in a bigger city it would get 3 stars for me because it needs more cleaning, as it just doesn't have the nice clean feel inside. It is located in a fast station and the whole place could use a little updating and area beautification. It's not terrible, but each time I think it could be much cleaner. It surely is a challenge to keep clean with people coming off dirt road properties drag all the dirt in all day long... read more

Always get food though the drive thru. Always is fresh and hot when we get home. Almost never mess up our order and have really nice staff.

Usually quick service. Sometimes it gets busy. Convenient location for travelers but the drive-thru line is a little awkwardly arranged.

Okay, so this is attached to a gas station. This is definitely popular in this area as there are so few restaurants to eat at.....It took forever to get my order and when I finally got it, it was wrong. The manager took care of it and they finally got it right (double burger) so I was pleased. Will be back. read more

I go here a lot because it's really the only fast food drive thru place besides Aliberto's. I have to ASK for the fries to be well done or extra crispy otherwise they will usually be cold and soggy. The staff is always changing and those who do work there seem off, they will hire ANYONE pretty much. Drive thru takes forever usually. They cater to the customers in the dining room first it seems like. Do they not know drive through is priority because of the gas we use to wait? They missed that memo I guess. I wish there was a Taco Bell or another American fast food restaurant here in town so I could avoid this place all together. read more

Worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to. Took exactly 1 hour to get our food and we weren't even offered any discount of any kind. The meals were not properly placed and one of the burger's bun was slightly burnt. I'm hoping the worker who was coming in and out of the building touching the door handles changed his gloves every time since he obviously handles food since there was sauce on his hands. What can I say... Ice cream is always a nice treat. That being said it would have been better if they didn't run out of hot fudge.

I waited for 10 minutes to place my order. Cindy, the manager, chatted on the phone rather than take my order. After 10 minutes I left without ever ordering. When I called back to complain, the phone rang for 2 to 3 minutes before Cindy answered. she told me that the phone call was more important than I, the waiting customer. 2015: Went to Heber/Overgaard DQ last night (06-24) at 7:30 pm with friends. We arrived to find out that this DQ suddenly changed their hours and now closes at 7:00 during the week. OMG, this is totally unacceptable. There was four other vehicles pulling up at the same time, along with several kids trying to get ice cream., DQ kept their doors locked. Came in here on a Christmas stay in Heber, ordered chicken strips and the flame burger. The service was friendly but a-typical slow, the chicken strip basket was really good and the burger was cooked well, a little burnt around the edges, and was definitely not spicy at all, not even jalapeños that's ridiculous. People may be shocked to see a 5-star review for a Dairy Queen, but I honestly have to say that our recent stop on the way home from a weekend visit to the in-laws in Pinetop deserves the 5-star rating. I can't speak for other days, but the day we stopped, I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a fan of Dairy Queen, especially those found in small towns. I rarely, if ever, eat fast food, and usually am very dissatisfied. As a Texan, I always hold DQ's in high esteem, probably from nostaglia more than anything else. This DQ was as good as ones I remember from days gone by. I got the cheeseburger, onion rings and Dr Pepper off the value menu. Those 3 items were just a tick over $4. We waited in the drive thru for a few minutes, and I commented to my husband "They must be making it fresh". They were. The cheeseburger came with mustard, ketchup and pickles on a soft, warm and fresh sesame seed bun. The cheese was all melty and dripping off the burger. The onion rings were some of the best I've ever eaten. I could have easily made a meal out of just a couple orders of those. Like the burger, they too were hot and fresh. The breading was crunchy, crisp and not at all greasy. Most importantly, these onion rings held together, so that with each bite you got a good portion of both onion and breading. It's always a disappointment to bite in to an onion ring and pull all the onion out, leaving just empty breading. That did not happen here. Also, the Dr Pepper was nicely carbonated and tasted fresh. I've paid 3 times as much for a burger and onion rings and been 3 times more disappointed. The Heber DQ was a great stop! read more
