After a long day of fishing this place really hit the spot. It seems to be the spot to be in the late afternoon so be prepared for live music and lots of people eating at the spot next door. I got a cookie dough shake and it was very creamy and milky. They come with a cherry and whipped cream. I love runnier shakes so this consistency was perfect. I will say all the cookies were at the bottom so it was more of a vanilla shake so maybe get a different flavor but overall it was good. The service was also two nice girls working and on top of it! Yum! First off- we popped in here (next door) on Father's Day to grab a quick burger and sat in front of the (RBC) while we enjoyed the hot weather and a break from Follow Lake and kayaking. :) It's beautiful here! I love how you hey have a shared space and that these are two old houses Redone and converted into local businesses! We had excellent service- as soon as we walked in- we were greeted by the same girl that took our order and was very friendly and personable from the Yard in the shared space. :) She had a friendly smile and knows customer service- something you do NOT find a ton of in Phoenix. But this small country town with values and people clearly being raised the way I was as a kiddo- I appreciate the generosity and customer service and kindness we experienced here and The Yard. We ordered a smorgasbord of items to try and take back to our 3 boys who didn't want to break from swimming and kayaking. #livingtheirbestlives It was a hot day out and I'm picky about ice-cream/gelatos. I only like a handful of flavors and textures. They may not have had a regular ol Hazelnut flavor- (not chocolate Hazelnut), BUT they had Pistachio, I was so happy and I loved it! Creamy texture and light flavor but it had good chunks of pistachio in it too. Sooo damn good! I'm falling in love with this town more and more. I grew up in a small high high desert town up in WA state surrounded by many lakes! So this town Here reminds me SO much of it- small town feel with morals and lots to o do that is outdoors AND all the farming! Anyway- got on my soapbox- but this spot is delicious and we finished every item we purchased! Maple nut danish, pink him salt choc chips I believe, a peach cobbler in a cute mini red tin- yum!! My husband love peach and he smashed his treat! Hahaha ;) The blueberry lemon scone was to die for and I'm not a scone person- usually too dry for me. I like chewy things and moist deserts. . But I AM a huge fan!! The glaze on top was so yummy and the fruit inside helped keep it from drying out too much. I highly recommend this spot!! Great to take the family or dogs for tons of outdoor backyard like patio seating- tons of charm! Also there was this boy who helped bring some of our food to us and I had forgotten a straw for my water and he kindly grabbed one for me although it's self serve. Reasons I did not rate it 5 stars: -- the spoons are cheap ones and they bend ; -- the red stools inside (nice air conditioner btw!) don't have a support for your feet. I popped in here mid summer. The outside was connected to another restaurant called the house with tables and live music was in the back. The ice cream shop itself had around 8-10 flavors as well as a dessert shelf of fresh baked goods. I tried the strawberry cheesecake and some kind of nut brittle ice cream. I loved both and typically a strawberry girl but I loved the brittle ice cream and got it in a sugar cone while I hung out outside which is charming and perfect. We popped in here after eating at The House which this shares a lot with. It's a cute little store with friendly staff and a wide variety of desserts to choose from. The ice cream case is a little small for a place that states that it's a creamery and carries the premium price you'd expect of a place that handmakes it's goods. The ice cream itself was really rich, smooth, and creamy with good flavor. I had the cookies and cream and brownie batter and my mom got the brownie batter and butter praline. We both really enjoyed the ice cream. It's a nice little spot to stop while on vacation or for a special treat. read more

The vanilla base was so creamy, had a subtle spice (not heat), and was so sweet without being overwhelming. This is our first visit. My son was celebrating his birthday and we wanted to visit something a little bit different. We practically miss his place because it was buried in the large amount of people standing around. I'm assuming for the House restaurant which is right next-door. So we headed back to the car figuring I'll just try some other time but then we decided to give it one more go and we finally saw a little chalkboard with an arrow pointing to it so it's really hidden, but it is right next to the burger restaurant next-door. We walked in. It was cute and very, inviting with little barstools that you could sit at if you wanted to eat your sweet treats. They had a nice counter with different baked goods and ice cream foods. We just went straight for homemade waffle cone and two scoops of ice cream. Our choice. We both had the cotton candy flavor and it was excellent. The service was great and there seem to be steady traffic in and out. We would definitely return to the Social shop, but I did want to comment that we decided to eat our cones outside so found a picnic table nearby. The odor in this area was unbearable. It was almost smelling Toilets. We couldn't quite butterfingers on what was going on but midway through eating our cone. We decided we needed to go back to the car and leave when we got back to the parking lot. We could see a lot of toilets there so maybe that's where the order was coming from. The Red Barn Creamery is part of a complex of 3 great sister businesses owned by one man Kris/Chris. The Red Barn Creamery offers a dozen kinds of homemade ice cream. It sells several kinds of tasty homemade muffins and other pastries. The Red Barn Creamery is on the same property as the House restaurant. The House sells non-dessert food, including various kinds of hamburgers. The House offers live music 3-4 times a week on its outdoor stage. We listened to a very mellow guitar player during Sunday brunch. Since the House and the Red Barn Creamery share outdoor seating, anyone buying dessert can hear the music. The complex offers many, many outdoor tables in a quiet setting. When we visited children ran around the grass lawn and tossed bean bags. People brought their dogs. This is a great gathering spot in Show Low. At the Red Barn Creamery you order at the counter and a server hands you your ice cream or pastry. I cannot recall whether there was any indoor seating; you could probably walk into the House if you wanted to sit indoors. We ordered pistachio ice cream and chocolate brownie ice cream in a cup. (Two kinds of cones are also available.) We bought a morning glory muffin and ate half. We ate the remaining half the next day and it was still moist and delicious. On the far side of the House cafe is the tiny outdoor Backyard Bar. It offers at least two dozen kinds of bottled craft beer. We really liked the combination of Red Barn Creamery, the House and the lovely outdoor seating. The Sunday brunch live guitar was an extra bonus. read more

Had high expectations since this place has 4.5/5 stars. Went for ice cream which was great. You have the option of sugar cone, cake cone or cup. The service was not great. The two girls working were rude and condescending. As I was ordering the girl was very blunt and just seemed over it. My boyfriend asked for a sample which the girl seemed annoyed to give as there was a few people behind him. The girl who scooped his cone was not wearing gloves and there was no cover to prevent contact. A possible health code violation. As we were waiting for our ice cream the cashier yells "Is that all?" So I went over to pay with my phone and she yells "I don't take tap!" Then seemed annoyed when I had to get out my card. Wouldn't go back because of the service. read more

My wife and I love this place! Just had it first time last night and we were blown away! The Rocky Road is the best I've ever had. No doubt. I got that along with the Reese's in a plain waffle cone. Took my hubby here for dessert as our last stop before heading back to hotel room. Homemade strawberry cheesecake ice cream with REAL strawberries and HOMEMADE cheesecake. INTENSE flavor and creaminess off the charts (not sure who's charts, but whoever's, it's gonna be off it!) My husband got "Cookie Monster" a blue creamy ice cream with "COOKIES!" (If you're a certain age, you just read "COOKIES!" and heard the Cookie Monster's voice from "Sesame Street". Trust me when I say "Come and play, everything's A OK!" Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Taste testing encouraged! IMO that type of customer service can get a business 5 stars and make up for a plethora of what would otherwise be a lower rating.
