Such a cool little shop. They have candy, truffles, fudge, gelato, etc... An older lady helped us out and she was upbeat and friendly. Stop by and support a local business with tasty treats!

My wife and I drove up to Payson today to escape the additional billion people in the Phoenix Metro area due to the WM Open and the Super Bowl. We stopped into this little sweet shop and OMG - what an amazing, charming little shop! They're located right on 87 in the heart of Payson. It smells amazing inside its chock full of candy, old time candies, soda and sweets. There's fresh gelato, homemade baked goods and an entire case of truffles with more flavors than you'd ever know what to do with. Not afraid to admit we spent more here than we did in the spot we ate lunch down the road. I went with this gigantic peanut butter cookie about the size of an appetizer plate and a bunch of truffles - coconut, cappuccino, key lime, caramel sea salt. Customer service is amazzzzing and the two women inside of the shop are so friendly and helpful! I can quickly see this becoming a regular stop at our trips up the 87! Highly recommended!

These truffles are sooo good. They're rich too watch out lol.

I stopped here on a day trip for work. The shop has a bunch of cool items including old fashioned candy, gelato, candies nuts, truffle, huge fresh baked cookies and gifts. For those of you that like pickles, they even have pickle pops. They have boxes of 6 or 9 for the truffles. I got cappuccino, German chocolate, funfetti, Irish cream, amaretto, rocky road. I took one bite the German chocolate flavor and it was so rich and good. The cookie was the last one they had and was still warm and gooey. It was a Reese's peanut butter cup cookie and it's delectable. I highly recommend this place for a "treat yourself" type experience.

Whenever I'm passing through small towns, I love stopping at local shops like this. I'm surprised that this was my first visit here considering how often I drive to Payson. Sweet Country Charm sells all sorts of gifts that are mostly made by local artists. But what made me stop in were two things - coffee and fudge. They have a large variety of fudge here. Peanut Butter, Rocky Road, and Mint Chocolate are just some of the flavors that they have on hand. If fudge isn't your thing, they have plenty of other sweets and chocolates in their display case that you can purchase. Good coffee, delicious fudge, and friendly customer service made for a nice quick stop on my recent road trip.

Absolutely wonderful staff and environment! Very homey and welcoming. We tried 5 different types of fudge- all were excellent. Honorable mention flavor: Huckleberry! Looks interesting; tastes phenomenal!! Definitely a MUST VISIT place if you're in the area!

What a hidden treasure we stumbled upon. We were just driving down the highway minding our own business when what did we spot out of the corner of our eye..... a big old sign that said FUDGE! And before you knew it my car just veered into the parking lot and stopped! Seriously! That's how it happened! Our eyes lit up when we walked in! There was all this candy, walls of candy I tell ya! There was gelato! There were the most fabulous looking truffles I ever did see! And then came the fudge! Oh holy sweet tooth! I was all in! I wanted one of everything! We chatted with the owner who was delightful. She told us all about the different flavors, and gave us samples. I bought a little of this, and some of that! Everything was melt in my mouth amazing! I wish I bought more! I highly recommend dropping by for a little morsel of yumminess!

We stumbled upon this place by accident and it is adorable! It had a lot of old time candy in addition to amazing fudge and homemade candies. The lady working the counter was fabulous! If you have time and are in the area, you should definitely stop by.

What a cool ceiling! Draped fabric!

Stopped by after the Summer Festival up in Pine because of the adorable architecture. Too cute! So what was the first thing that greeted me when I walked in the door? Was it the artistically draped fabric across the ceiling or perhaps the glorious display of fudge behind the glass cabinet? Maybe it was the delicate jewelry or the bold red patio furniture for you to take a break on... Actually the first thing that greeted me was Piper the pudgy teacup chihuahua! I got down on the floor and played with that pudge for a good while before I actually sampled and purchased some fudge. Oh man, all the samples! Delicious, decadent, and rich fudge! They even had sugar-alternatives in some of their products. I ended up walking away with a 1/4lb "secret" maple bacon fudge, some creme brulee fudge (of course), and some watermelon fudge. You can't buy half squares of fudge but an adorable BFF might go halfsies with ya! Buy four, get one free!

My husband and I took our 2 year old to Payson for the day and we passed a big sign that said Homemade Fudge.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more I'd STRONGLY recommend, any of the other various options available within 50 mile radius. I wholeheartedly regret giving this particular business patronage. Not only were their products overpriced but the customer service was outright non-existent. Service: unenthusiastic and borderline crude. The operators seemed more interested in reviewing their Instagram and chatting amongst each purposeuflly placing their backs towards others and ignoring (blatant disrespect in their culture) rather than assisting much less acknowledging customers. When finally receiving the time of day by the operators distain is the only word to describe the overall interaction. Selection: much like the desert- the stock had run dry! However their doors remained open despite not offering a fraction of the menu. Each item requested on their menu was either unavailable or outright a borderlined rude "no" uttered in the best english staff was able to be mustered up. Not even the essentials were on hand to include napkins, toppings, and even lids for the drinks and shakes. A outright discrace. And not at all to my suprise they neglected to disclose this until after money had exchanged. Outright disappointment. Waste of time and money.

The ambience of this place was so much fun. It made me feel like a little kid again, with all the…read moreCandy and the chocolates, and the fudge. The ladies behind the counter were super helpful and great at dealing with my indecisiveness. I ended up getting a sample of every fudge. Nobody needs to eat that much fudge, but it was amazing. The grasshopper fudge was my favorite.

I am so happy they transplanted from Michigan to Cottonwood, AZ. Their truffles are just amazing! I am particularly fond of the ones with dark chocolate. Their molded chocolates are so beautiful, it's hard to think of taking a bite out of them, but once you do you cannot stop! Friends love the chocolate flowers, my great nephew loved his purple T-Rex, my sister-in-law loved her Statue of Liberty and I have a cute little lamb waiting in the fridge to give to my niece! I recently brought my best friend to Gayle's and boy did she go to town and is so happy that I introduced her to the queen of chocolate! Recently I was talking to someone in Flagstaff Who was complaining there were no real good chocolatiers in Flagstaff, and she misses a place called Gayle's from her home state of Michigan, and she was almost in tears when I told her they are in Cottonwood! I am so happy I have frequent business in the Verde Valley because Gayle's is some of the best chocolate I have ever had! My husband grabs the box out of my hands as soon as I get home! They did give me a helpful tip that chocolate lasts a long time in the fridge so no excuse not to stock up! When you are in Cottonwood, this should definitely be a stop on your list! They are open Mon. - Sat. 9 AM to 4 PM so make sure you get there prior to closing, or you'll be wishing you had one of their chocolate shoes to kick your ass!
