Strawberry Milkshake

Strawberry milkshake was perfect and service was quick and friendly. There are some spots so sit inside or grab your drink and go!

Turkey cranberry sandwich and a half-size chef salad.

Great stop for lunch. The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband had a half Chef Salad and I had the turkey cranberry sandwich, which came with chips. The salad was very fresh. It is also right across from the famous Winslow corner.

This is where you place your order.

Windsor, Arizona Two places I wanted to go to in Winslow, AZ was Sipp Shoppe and the corner of Winslow Arizona. Lucky me they were directly across the street from each other. This café is small with 6 to 8 tables. They do have a counter with a few chairs. One girl take your order and a guy makes all of the drinks. There were two people in the back cooking. The staff was friendly. I ordered the daily special grilled cheese on ciabatta bread served with a pickle and tomato soup. It also came with a large drink. My husband ordered the turkey cranberry sandwich. It came with chips and a pickle. The drink was extra. The grilled cheese was delicious. However, it comes with a pesto sauce. It did not say anywhere that had pesto on it so please be aware for those of you that may have an allergy. The tomato soup was piping hot! It was deliciously homemade. The turkey cranberry sandwich was served on a roll. And had lots of sliced turkey. Came with cranberries and lettuce. It was a good sandwich, but nothing special or extra extraordinary. It was served with chips and a pickle. They have ice cream that the hand scoop and make milkshakes that look delicious. One of the other customers was eating a crêpe and it looked fantastic. However, there weren't any crêpes on the menu that had any protein. So I chose against it. If it was morning instead of lunchtime, I might have chose differently. This place is centrally located and charming. I would most definitely stop back here if I was in town. Plenty of street parking as well as an open lot around the corner. There is no charge for parking. Bathrooms were clean, but all three stalls were empty of toilet paper. The only thing I saw that needed cleaning were the lights on the wall above the tables.

There was a small wait but plenty of seating. We initially went in for root beer float. A little disappointed they did not have vanilla but overall good. I ordered the cream cheese chile dog and my husband the tuna melt. Both were 5 out of 5.it was full of flavor and just the right size. The employees were friendly and professional. This is truly a hidden gem.

An old-time soda shop with a modern-day twist. You'd think you walked into a soda shop in Mayberry with Andy and Barney sitting there. They serve several ice cream treats, lates, shakes, malts, and, of course, ice cream. I got a scoop of salted caramel expresso ice cream. Fresh, homemade, and good. It's just what I needed on a warm AZ day.

Great unexpected stop. Cute little place that offers Coffee, soup, sandwiches, ice cream and more. We had sandwiches and green chili chicken soup which were all great! Ladies working were friendly and fast. Will definitely stop here again if our path takes us this way again.

The Turquoise Room. The service was outstanding the food was fabulous. We started with "soup" of creamy corn and black beans with a spicy chile cream. I can't even describe how good it was. My friend and I split Pork Osso Buco. Split. We couldn't finish it. My husband had the special sea bass and raved. My friend's husband thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp with pappardelle pasta. Although he doesn't like having to remove the tails himself. I mean, who does? It was nice to go back to our room after such a great meal and not have to drive. Outstanding experience.

We stumbled upon this gem in Winslow, AZ…read more They serve up Mexican/Navajo food. Very unique and DELICIOUS. Try the fry bread with beef! Most of the diners were Navajo and Hopi Elders including an Elderly Native War Veteran. I will never forget the kind service, the home made food and the genuine warmth of this place which also serves as a meeting spot for the Community. If you ever find yourself "Standing on a Corner in Winslow, Arizona", GO HERE!

We asked the clerk in one of the gift shops in Winslow for a restaurant recommendation for dinner…read more Ari suggested The Brown Mug Cafe. It's located a short couple of blocks east of the Standin' on the Corner park. The place was packed by locals on a Saturday night at 6 PM. A table had just opened - it was quickly cleared and we were seated within a minute of arriving. Drink orders were taken and we perused the menu that was surprisingly varied and long. We both opted for Mexican food. I'm here to tell you that we both agreed that it was some of the best Mexican food we've had anywhere. And the sopapillas (included with the meal) were light and fresh and a great way to end the experience. The restaurant has been there a while. It's not fancy, seats are well-worn and there are probably a dozen or so tables total. The servers worked hard, were attentive and friendly. Our meal cost $40 + tip - not bad for 2 meals, a beer and a glass of wine. Without the recommendation, we probably would have never stopped there. We knew when we walked in and saw the place packed with locals that we were in for a good meal. And we were not disappointed. I'm not sure when we will pass through Winslow again. But when/if we do, we will definitely visit The Brown Mug Cafe.
